Catchpoint has a nice set of unique capabilities to help with monitoring of your applications.
What do you like best about the product?
Large list of actual backbone locations to test from and the data collected.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not any notable areas within the tool to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using the tool mainly to ensure our applications are available and reachable from the external prespective. Our other monitoring tools mainly test from cloud locations so don't give us the coverage we were seeking. Additional features such as traceroutes are helpful when troubleshooting potential networking type of issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A great tool to have in your toolbelt and the customer service team is always very helpful and attentive.

Catchpoint Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like user experience of pulling data from different days with multiple tests. It's easy to pick up and hone down on the specific date or time range that we're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate how we have to pick dates and times while using the app manually. If we are monitoring different many or multiple tests it becomes pretty hectic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve problems by monitoring certain tests that can reduce the friction our customers encounter within our apps.
We can check web transaction failures, availabilites, and many more.

It gives an upper hand to end customer in maintaining high availability of sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alert email which comes out from catchpoint should also have filmstrip about the failure steps. This will avoid us to go and check which steps has failed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whenever we have performance issues reported by external customers, its hard to check since we are within Intranet zone, if there is slowness Catchpoint triggers the alert and we can correlate it with the customer issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check on site uptime/downtime, performance issue from multiple locations around the globe and trigger the alert, then Catchpoint is one of the best tool i have come across
Good tool but not many resources available to explain everything it offers
What do you like best about the product?
The concept of it, how it captures a lot of information, and the fact it takes screenshots when errors occur - those are really helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many dashboards and screens. Hard to navigate around and find exactly what you're looking for, in addition to the difficulty of understanding what each statistic means. Especially as someone who is not really tech-savvy, some job aids on how to analyze an error would be great. Some support items do not load on my machine either
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Errors are caught instantly as our team is alerted by phone via PagerDuty. We dont need to wait for a client or the vendor to alert us of an error. We can engage appropriate parties quickly and solve application downage fast
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand that false errors are a thing
