Meraki Makes WAN Easy

What do you like best about the product?
Meraki is great for WAN deployments. The template feature makes deploying many similar WAN sites a breeze. We started with 35 small office / home office deployments and we only had to build one template from scratch then copy that one and modify a few settings to match the variety of deployments we needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the settings are buried in places that don't entirely make sense but I'm not sure how to make it better so I can't complain too much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are replacing a software VPN based connection set up with Meraki and it will cut administration time down by at least 50% if not more. The built in firewall for each router also increases our security and blocks a non company owned computer from being plugged in.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is the key to the Meraki solutions, single pane of glass that allows administrators easy access from anywhere to configure, test, and manage Meraki's network solutions. There are plenty of technical articles on deploying these solutions and integrating them to other products. Support is very responsive and available 7X24.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model can become costly over time. Mixed messaging on AC power cord ordering for locations outside of the US. The solutions are a subset of the main items "most" users would utilize, there are certain features such as BGP which are not available and limits to integrating to other vendor solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of administration, by being able to log into the system and fully support the solution from any device and browser aids in the speed of resolution. Time to resolution has greatly improve and so has customer satisfaction.

Start with a trial and determine if this is for you. If integrating to other systems, pay careful attention to any issues and limitations

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment, ease of use, excellent customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
To some degree there is a lack of autonomy when it comes to certain configuration, like client VPN.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deployment and management of Wireless APs at multiple locations. Security benefits have been wonderful as well.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy implementation and managing it by login into Meraki console. Specially liked the Meraki VPN. All meraki's can communicate to each other without any configuration and it works flawlessly. Client handling and policy making is great and easy. The over all experience after using MX appliances for few months I can say its a good product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Client VPN is not working upto the mark, specially the AD integration is quite difficult for authenticating VPN users. MX appliances does not support BGP which is much needed functionality of firewall for routing purpose. Ordered the product twice for 2 countries and both time the delivery was delayed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Active Directory integration for authenticating Client VPN users. We are facing issue with WMI error which communicating with AD.

Being a cloud based appliance its really easy to manage.

What do you like best about the product?
Cisco Meraki switches are easy to maintain using the cloud based web interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
You lose the cloud, you lose access to manage your switches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The user friendly GUI makes programming the switches a breeze. No need to memorize command line syntax to program switches.

Definitely go for it.

Simplicity in site-to-site VPNs

What do you like best about the product?
Very straight forward and easy to use security/VPN appliances. Site-to-site VPN over commodity Internet links is automatic and even includes some basic SD-WAN functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
OSPF routing is one directional; OSPF routes can be advertised from Meraki MX, but not received.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great cost savings in migrating from a dedicated WAN to dual commodity Internet links from multiple providers.

Make sure you fully test your use cases prior to deployment!

What do you like best about the product?
Una de las cosas que mas me gusto es su simpleza, No es necesario mantener un ingeniero dedicado en el personal para administrar una red grande y complicada.
Meraki es fácil de usar y realmente toma en serio la mentalidad de conectar y usar los productos sin limitarse a las capacidades.
VPN de site a site, repuestos en funcionamiento y una gran cantidad de redes y otros dispositivos han hecho que Meraki sea una solución digna de instalar.
Los hemos tenido e implementado durante un par de años, y nunca hemos tenido problemas con la instalación, equipos y/o configuraciones, una configuración más sólida y me he sentido más cómodo haciendo actualizaciones de forma remota y según sea necesario.
Por ultimo Administre toda la red desde un único panel de control, usuarios de control, aplicaciones y dispositivos. No hay ningún hardware de controlador ni software de administración para instalar o mantener
What do you dislike about the product?
Tienen hoy en día algunas limitaciones cuando se refiere a instalaciones en grandes empresas, aun la solución esta dirigida a pequeñas empresas.
Productos relativamente mas caros que redes ZyXell, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usamos a Meraki para resolver los problemas actuales de seguridad de la cámara inalámbrica y física. Queríamos tener un tablero central para todo nuestro equipo. Así que ahora podemos ejecutar no solo los interruptores, el firewall, sino que hemos agregado inalámbricos y cámaras a la mezcla que no ha ayudado a mejorar la conectividad a nivel de empresa.

Meraki has changed our networking

What do you like best about the product?
The accessibility and the insight that Meraki gives me for my network. It does not matter where I am at I can view my network and it's operations. With Meraki you can un-box and have your network up and going in minutes, that is with very little training too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a dash board for a NOC display. I think the current users get logged out after a few minutes. Other than I don't have any other dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meraki is networking made easy. I don't have to know any Cisco iOS to make a change. Meraki call center is top notch! The need for some network savant to come configure your network are over.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. If you are having doubts, get a 30 day trial. Many of my IT friends are switching over. v
