ROI as quick as a cup of tea or coffee!
What do you like best about the product?
It was super easy to setup and use; The ROI was quicker than anticipated. I had results and actions before I had time to finish my hot drink. The new feature of remediation is super handy if you do not know coding
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much just wish it could connect to more items like switches, firewalls etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whilst trying to spin many plates in my role, this product helped me plan upgrades and kept an eye on compliance with handy reports. The config vault was also handy for checking out any changes which could also help locate issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your time and create an action plan of what you want to tackle first, ensure you show all the teams such as security, compliance, and cloud teams

Easy Compliance for Audits
What do you like best about the product?
Runecast has a ton of security standards to help achieve easy audit ratification. Each one has a detailed explaination of what the security threat is, how to resolve it and sometimes there's even a button to create a script to automate resolving the security threat automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's too much data to comprehend upon first glance. When I first installed it, I was overwhelmed by the literal thousands of alerts in my environment. But after working with my sales engineer and reading some documentation I was able to whittle the alerts down to a more manageable amount.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company requires we be compliance with PCI standards. Prior to Runecast I would keep an excel sheet of all the PCI standards and my resolutions for each. This constantly was out-dated but Runecast updates on the fly and is much easier to keep an eye on things.

What do you like best about the product?
The Runecast Analyzer is simple to install, configure, and manage. The level of information it provides, including the remediation steps and KB articles are fantastic!

There is nothing to dislike. It's a fantastic product supported by a great group of people at Runecast.

I was looking for a proactive approach to solve any matters reporting in my vSphere environment. The benefits include saving my time with proactive solutions.

All in one solution. Compliance and vulnerability check, Virtualization level, and recently operating systems (Windows/Linux) support. It is all about being ready and compliant.

Frankly, nothing in particular. Runecast always makes impressive improvements with every update.
Sometimes I just need some kind of improvement in the interface layout to be more comfortable. But overall, it is all good.

Compliance check saved a lot of time as previously we were trying to find separate documents and third-party vendors to check if we are compliant or not. Now we are focusing on solving issues with real-time analysis. Also, provide us with a guide on how to solve the issues arise.

It is highly recommended to use it in every IT environment.
The Quickest, Cheapest Path to VMware Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Runecast presented us with excellent value for money in ensuring our vSphere estate is continually compliant with the latest VMware security recommendations without needing to read through all the VMware documentation to achieve it. With a fair and straightforward pricing model, easy-to-use interface, and easy-to-digest suggestions, Runecast Analyzer made perfect sense to deploy in our environment where staff time is a precious resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the number of advisories can be overwhelming, and it isn't always clear what to prioritise when first running the tool over a new environment. Not every 'severe' recommendation was applicable in our environment - but Runecast Analyzer certainly gave us an excellent starting point to begin working our way through the technical debt of security configurations within our environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Runecast allows us to maintain compliance with security recommendations for VMware infrastructure on an ongoing basis. We were able to identify some areas to focus on quickly, allowing us to cover the most critical areas within a matter of hours.
The tool works as advertised.

The ability to detect know issues within your whole enviroment. All the historical data for the finding and configuration vault are useful to track changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom filters and licensing management can be difficult to work with when there are multiple hosts connected to the same Runecast appliance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The focus is primarily on known issues and security vulnerabilities. We were able to detect also many misconfigurations. The tool improved our compliance and security.
Amazing tool for anyone with VMware environment
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, single pane of glas overview of the findings categorized, detailed description and one click link to the related KB article and the affected devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Outside of that it is costing money (which is totally worth it btw) there is not much to list. Previous version had some glitches related to updating to never versions, but recent ones have this already fixed.

Any compliance or best practice setting you might have missed is shown, together with the action you need to take.
