What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the Okta is built in the cloud and can be quickly integrated with our applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when we have issues syncing Okta with Google Chrome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta allows us to build modern, quick authentication in applications on premise or in the cloud.
Great experience
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to have a simple interface for all my applications makes onbording a simple experience for new employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't used other software, so I don't have much of a comparison.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onboarding problems. Before, we had to send many guides on all of the different applications and accounts you had to create. With Okta, it's simplified.
Secured With Okta
What do you like best about the product?
I like how direct it is as a MFA security procedure. Just takes a quick set up, through both the web and mobile app and you're in. When trying to log in, you'll get a push notification to approve and thats it very. Very simple process over the typical MFA thing is getting texted an email or code to enter
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a hassle to get into if you get locked out/change phones. But its not a big deal as usually IT support is a big help, just a bit meh that you can't fix being locked out yourself
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were not so much solving problems, it was just our method of logging in
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you dont leave your phone at home or delete the app!
Simple and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of okta is how easy it makes onboarding new employees. No need to share multiple passwords and set them up with a password manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I primarily use the chrome extension and I think it could use a design overhaul and a shortcut to quickly search for apps to open. A desktop app would be even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing user accounts for new/leaving employees. Benefits are all the time that has beens saved not having to do manual work.
Indispensable SSO platform
What do you like best about the product?
I've grown to rely heavily on Okta as part of my work life over the course of several years.
The best feature as an employee is having all your work applications automatically provisioned and login access maintained in one place. Not having to create and remember passwords across dozens of services is a major efficiency gain, and a boon to company-wide security as well, I'd imagine.
Some of my other favorite features:
- The ability to group applications into tabs
- The Okta browser plug-in
- The ability to request new applications directly within Okta

Suggestions for improvement:
- ability to customize the names of apps within Okta (the name that is displayed under each app icon)
- ability to customize logos/images of apps within Okta

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an end user, Okta eliminates the need to create and remember passwords for any applications that are integrated into its single-sign-on platform. It's certainly saved me a lot of time and potential headaches while working. Think of it as an enterprise-grade, super-charged password manager. Again, I'm just an end user and don't work in IT, but once setup, I'd imagine it streamlines a lot of the access provisioning process, so you've got benefits flowing in all directions.
All my day to day apps in one place, SSO
What do you like best about the product?
Single sign on is pretty clutch, just log into everything through Okta pretty much
What do you dislike about the product?
Gotta say, its a little confusing to navigate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO, ease of use across multiple platforms
Excellent secure solution
What do you like best about the product?
complete end to end security with interface on mobile device as well as office machine
What do you dislike about the product?
too restrictive in access - but thats the purpose to ensure security
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensure enterprise data is secured and access is granted only after duly verifying the user credentials

Recommendations to others considering the product:
its a great and exhaustive solution and gives a complete security to the organization data and access requirements. Integrations with other popular software solutions are also quite easy and straight through
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It’s quick and easy to use, never failed to work.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some apps you have to receive a code via text and it’s time consuming
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security issues have been solved
Great SSO option, that is easy to use and the app is great.
What do you like best about the product?
The push functionality and SSO from the Okta Verify app is really easy to use and helps me sign in quickly to my apps and programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the app pulls an incorrect zip code and asks me if I'm signing in from somewhere that isn't necessarily where I'm located. So I've at times declined the request, additionally it tries to snag the login from everything automatically which is good and bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I use it to access our multitude of programs, whether they're apps, web-based or add-ons. It's great and makes signing in much easier and from what i understand, more secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Okta is a very easy-to-use SSO platform, while I'm unaware of the back-end ease of set-up/implementation I can confirm that as a user it's easy to use and the app makes it a breeze with the push functionality.
Simple for the entire organization
What do you like best about the product?
I want to start off by saying I am not in IT. I cannot speak to how easy Okta is to implement or to add apps. But, from a person who uses Okta every day, I really enjoy it. Like any SAML/SSO company, I love how Okta stores your login information for your company applications and websites. You log in to Okta, and then you don't need to sign in to any other website (as long as it's added to Okta). This definitely helps with the security and assigning users to the right applications.
The Google Chrome extension is fantastic. I can click the Okta icon on the top-right in Chrome and quickly see all my assigned apps. Click one, and I automatically go to the site and I'm logged in. It makes it so I don't have to bookmark all of our organization's sites.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if I have anything I truly dislike. Sometimes, I'll already be logged in and either Okta or my browser doesn't know that when I go to a different site and has me re-login. But, it's not a big deal.
Our organization has two-factor authentication turned on. This means that you enter your Okta password and then you must also authenticate with your phone. It's kind of a pain. However, I got an Apple Watch and seriously...it's almost worth spending the dumb $400 for an Apple Watch just for the Okta app on the watch. Instead of authenticating through your phone, you get a notification directly to your watch, click "Yep, it's me" and then you're signed in to Okta. Makes it so much faster. I wish the regular phone authentication was as fast. You have to unlock your phone, click on the Okta notification, give your face-id and then click "yes, it's me". It's a lot more steps.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta helps keep all our organization's apps in one place. It increases our security with one password and use of SSO/SAML for everything else. Assigning new apps to new hires is easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm not really the expert for other SAML/SSO providers, but I'm pretty sure Okta has a free account you can use to try it out. I did some testing for creating an app in Okta and it was pretty easy (and I literally do not have any background in IT). I was able to find information online to create a Help Center article about how to connect Lucidpress with Okta and it wasn't too bad.
