I've used Okta at multiple places of business and it has always been to be easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, using Okta feels like it is standing in the way of me getting right to doing what I need to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a user, Okta provides security and approved software tools in one convenient space.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes single sign on seamless - log in once and can log into all my platforms and tech stack in one place. Also engrains with Touch ID on Mac

Honestly no notes. But I use from a user perspective not Admin perspective.

Securely sign into tech stack with one sign in, reset every day for security purposes.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy login and its compatible with alot of apps..I haven't noticed anyway.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive compared to similar programs. A little overwhelming until you get used to it. There are alot of options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Im slowly implementing work orders and tools as I learn but it seems to already solve that.

Secure and Seamless Identity Management with Okta

What do you like best about the product?
Having used Okta in an enterprise environment for over a year, I can confidently say it's one of the best tools out there for identity and access management. It has transformed the way our company handles user authentication, security, and application access.

My personal favorite is how Single Sign-On (SSO) just works consistently and seamlessly across all our cloud applications. I sign in once and have secure access to all that I need to perform my job without having to remember numerous passwords or go through repetitive sign-on rituals.

Multifactor authentication (MFA) is extremely helpful and easy to use. It adds a crucial extra layer of security, especially for remote access, and is suitable for both desktop environments and mobile devices. That the access can also be controlled by user role and group also offers our IT staff excellent control without complicating the user experience.

Security, scalability, and ease of use are the biggest benefits. Okta has allowed us to put strict access controls in place without hindering productivity. It also simplifies onboarding and offboarding — new employees have instant access to the software they need, and we can simply cut off access for departing employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin interface can be a bit overwhelming and cluttered. While feature-rich, it's not always immediately obvious, especially when dealing with complex configurations or custom app integrations. Furthermore, the initial configuration required more guidance and documentation than expected.

Some things that should be a standard feature, like certain reporting functionality or more robust provisioning workflows, are locked behind higher-tier plans. This limits what smaller teams or organizations can achieve without additional cost.

The pricing scheme can get expensive quite fast, especially if you need more features or integrations. Furthermore, occasional sync issues with third-party applications can cause delays or access errors that must be fixed by hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta is solving the problem of decentralized access to numerous systems. It provides secure, convenient centralized identity management. This eliminates the IT hassle, enhances cybersecurity, and saves employees' time by avoiding login issues or forgotten passwords.

It helps us secure access, enforce security policies, and ensure industry compliance. Okta also reduces the risk of data breaches caused by stolen or reused passwords. On the business end, it boosts productivity, simplifies audits, and provides peace of mind for us knowing that our systems are protected.

Empowering seamless access with single sign-on integration and robust authentication

What is our primary use case?

One of the majorly used use cases for Okta Workforce Identity is the assignment of different SaaS applications, which are cloud-based, and using them with single sign-on. Users don't have to remember the password for each and every online cloud-based application. They just need to sign in with one email and password. This is one of the major benefits of using Okta Workforce Identity.

What is most valuable?

One of the best features of Okta Workforce Identity is its integration with different SaaS applications, which makes it a better product than the competitors.

The multi-factor authentication feature in Okta Workforce Identity is very good. It has its own verification app as well. It is very good in authentication, and we can use hardware keys, software keys, or any authenticator, majorly known authenticator app, for multi-factor authentication.

The provisioning and deprovisioning features of Okta Workforce Identity are very good. We can automate them as well, and we can provision users, groups, applications, and provision tools based on specific groups as well. The product is very good in that as well.

What needs improvement?

I believe that if we integrate the workflows section into the main Okta Workforce Identity dashboard, it can be very useful.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Okta Workforce Identity for about 4 to 5 years now.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

In terms of the initial setup and deployment, I find it to be very easy. We have to set it up for the first time, and it has a very straightforward implementation. Okta Workforce Identity is a stable product. We had an issue with the Okta Workforce Identity dashboard once in 2023 when we had an outage, but it recovered in a few minutes.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We weren't using any single sign-on application or solution before choosing Okta Workforce Identity. This was our first product that we implemented in our company.

I believe we have a lot of features in Okta Workforce Identity and I don't think we should be having more features in it as it's currently packed with a lot of features.

Easy to access

What do you like best about the product?
The Okta SSO is easy to use the multiple apps in the company and its MFA is very secured.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime it prompts to add the login and password details again. For MFA there is delay observed especially in Android Phone.
