Okta Customer Identity Implementation is a Breeze
What do you like best about the product?
With Okta, organizations can make sure only the right people and devices have access to specific resources. In the process, Okta customers can cut their security TCO via administrative staff reductions, while benefiting from the added soft ROI of lower security breach risk.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main gripe with Okta is price, it's expensive. There isnt an app limit which is killing it for Okta, as that price goes up. But Okta clearly is the better product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nowadays, people often work on a laptop, at different places outside of the office and they check their email via their mobile phone. Due to all these developments, we need more than just a password. Okta also calls itself the modern version of Single Sign-On. To make the Single Sign-On as safe as possible, you can use MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) from Okta. With this, you verify yourself not only with a password, but with a second factor of your choice. For example, with a pin code that you receive on your mobile phone via SMS, with a fingerprint or a push notification via the Okta Verify app. Also, your information is protected by extensive security measures and controls that are checked by third parties.

What do you like best about the product?
Out of the box configurations for the integrations that are based on standarts like saml,oauth, oidc is pretty straight-forward and easy to do
What do you dislike about the product?
In cases of legacy application integration needs it is a bit hard to integrate or find a workaround for your case

What do you like best about the product?
We started using Okta recently, and so far, it has been great! It is easy to use, simple, and keeps all our department's (and company's) apps all in one place. It keeps my identity secured, and I also really enjoy how easy it is to verify my identity through my mobile phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, I'm not experiencing any issues with Okta, and I can't think of any improvements. But, with that said, we recently just started using Okta, so there could possibly be more room for improvements as time goes by.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta Customer Identity keeps each of our identities secured. We are able to house the most important and essential apps within Okta, without the fear of having them being accessed by an outside source.
One place login for all the apps
What do you like best about the product?
Logging into Okta provides me the one dashboard to login into all my apps, I do not have to move across screens to find the correct URL and log in, saving an immense amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ability to add apps for personal use as well from the dashboard. I am not sure if this is possible but currently the corporate setup doesn't allow me to do the same. This is more from an easing perspective to have everything accessible in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The entire identify management and security when a new user joins in or a some leaves, the entire process has become smooth. The worries of someone forgetting to deactivate an account and leading to security risk is not longer an concern.
Amazing software to standardize security, on- and off- boarding, and employee happiness
What do you like best about the product?
Okta makes on- and off-boarding so easy now that I've implemented it. Users get added to all the software they need in less than 15 minutes, instead of over an hour like it used to be without Okta. A single pane of glass to manage users, and security via MFA has been instrumental for my team and I.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main dislike with Okta is not even with Okta itself, but the vendors that have Okta integrations. Other software vendors don't have standardized methods of integrating, nor have they all standardized provisioning. I would love if Okta could enable an easier way of other software vendors enabling provisioning, as it's a huge help for on- and off-boarding folks very easily as well as life cycle updates to the employee (name changes, title changes, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta has cut our onboarding time by 75%. Offboarding is now much quicker and much more secure. We're able to enforce MFA for all connected applications, and even choose which MFA type a user uses.

What do you like best about the product?
Okta is mainly used to verify the user's identity for authentication to access different applications within the organization. Okta initiates a push notification, or the users can authenticate their identity with the help of a passcode. It is also used for user provision and governance of tools, Identity and Access management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is sometimes a lag in the push notifications with the user's request, which tends to cause the user to access the application and opt for a passcode manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through okta, one can manage user profile settings like personal info, password, extra verification (includes RSA token, security questions and authenticators), secure image and display language. Also, one can manage their preferences for UI layout. Okta keeps the updates notified with its notifications, and users can never forget their recent activity as all the activities are maintained for reference.

What do you like best about the product?
One feature I’ve really appreciated is the seamless integration with multiple applications through a single sign-on experience. It simplifies access to our tools and keeps everything centralized and secure. I also like the added visibility into login activity, which helps reinforce account security and accountability.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area for improvement would be offering more accessible backup options in case of device loss. While Okta Verify works well, losing a phone could become a major blocker without an easily available secondary method (backup codes, alternate device support, or more flexible recovery options).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security in my work information, which is a huge plus.
Works for basic purposes
What do you like best about the product?
Reliable way to have 2 factor authentication for your apps. There is also an app on your phone (Okta verity) so that if you didn't receive a push notification, you can enter the code given in the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
After I approve the login from my phone, it takes a while for my browser to respond (compared to Google Duo or Google 2FA)
