Effortless Security and Efficiency with Okta

What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate Okta for its ease of use when logging onto numerous websites needed for work using just one password. This not only simplifies my access but also enhances security by reducing the number of credentials I have to manage, making my workflow much more efficient. The simplicity and effectiveness of this single sign-on feature are invaluable in maintaining both productivity and security, particularly when dealing with websites containing protected health information (PHI). Additionally, the initial setup of Okta was very easy, which further emphasizes its user-friendliness. Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied with the service it provides, enough to rate it a perfect 10 out of 10 for recommendation to friends and colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Okta could allow faster processing sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Okta for secure authentication and single sign-on, enhancing both security and efficiency by protecting my information and allowing access to multiple websites with one password.

What do you like best about the product?
Okta offers a seamless combination of user-friendly design, robust security, and reliable integration across multiple platforms. It provides an efficient single sign-on experience that reduces login friction and enhances productivity for both agents and administrators. Through Okta, we maintain secure and streamlined access to essential tools—Guru, Kustomer, UJET, and our LMS from a single, centralized platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least about Okta is minimal, as the platform runs smoothly throughout the day. Reauthentication typically occurs only once per shift, which has little to no impact on productivity. Overall, it’s a seamless and reliable access management tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta provides a secure and centralized access management solution that simplifies authentication across multiple platforms. It enables seamless and secure logins to essential tools like Guru, Kustomer, UJET, and the LMS, eliminating the need for multiple passwords and reducing login-related downtime. This streamlined access improves operational efficiency, enhances security, and allows our teams to focus more on delivering excellent customer support rather than managing credentials.

What do you like best about the product?
If I were to pick what’s best about Okta, I’d say it’s the seamless way it handles identity and access management. It makes securing applications and user authentication super straightforward and reliable, which is huge for companies managing lots of users and systems. Plus, the integration capabilities with tons of apps and services make it flexible and scalable.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. Okta has all the tools needed when working.

Okta is easy to use since it is a single sign on wherein all the applications needed for daily use

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, we had to log in separately to each of our tools. Now, thanks to Okta, we only need to sign in once.

Has improved secure access through single sign-on and adaptive authentication for onboarding and application integration

What is our primary use case?

We are providing identity access management to the customers with Okta Customer Identity, and then application integration, user onboarding, and related functions.

I'm a senior consultant using Okta Customer Identity.

We are the implementers of Okta Customer Identity as users.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of Okta Customer Identity is the application interface with SSO. Integration with SSO helps us make use of the credentials. Once we log in, we get the opportunity to explore many applications within the organization with the same login, with no need to log in again.

Adaptive authentication in Okta Customer Identity is a flexible feature that is very secure and user-friendly. The authentication is more complex for man-in-the-middle attacks while remaining useful for end users.

Okta Customer Identity's API gives a clear view of how user onboarding takes place, so we can easily configure with Postman. We can onboard and off-board users, which is very flexible through the APIs.

Regarding multi-factor authentication, it helps reduce unauthorized access in our organization. We are using passwordless authentication with Okta FastPass on mobile devices. Users can get authenticated with two-factor authentication, first entering the password, then directly using the second factor authentication with Okta FastPass.

What needs improvement?

It is complex when adding it for the first time to users of Okta Customer Identity. For end-users and new users, it can be complex to use.

Okta Customer Identity analytics and reporting tools do not help much to improve customer engagement strategies.

Training should be provided to novice users. There are multiple online learning resources in the Okta documentation part, which users can access free of charge.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Okta Customer Identity for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

There are no doubts regarding the stability of Okta Customer Identity. It is scalable and we can directly make use of this tool.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

How was the initial setup?

The setup for Okta Customer Identity is straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price of Okta Customer Identity is acceptable.

What other advice do I have?

For those planning to use Okta Customer Identity, MSA and SSO are among the best features that can be recommended for users. We also have direct integration with Active Directory. There are many features that will be helpful for organizations to easily integrate applications and manage user onboarding and off-boarding.

The solution is deployed on the cloud and I did not purchase it through AWS Marketplace. I usually buy for the entire organization.

I rate Okta Customer Identity 10 out of 10.

There's nothing much to dislike apart from interface. It need to be updated.

Felt More Secure Than Ever

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the login process with Okta. It allows me to use my laptop's fingerprint as the first authentication step, followed by my YubiKey for the second step. Without completing both of these steps, I am unable to access my company laptop.
What do you dislike about the product?
On mobile devices, Okta does not support fingerprint authentication, which means I always have to enter my password and then use my Yubikey. If Okta enabled fingerprint authentication, it would save time and make the process more convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta helps keep my company data secure, which is essential in today's digital age where data theft is so common. Thanks to Okta, I don't have to worry about someone accessing my laptop and my data while I'm away on holiday.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to log in in multiple application using a single set of credential with an extra layer of security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Okta gives additional security, it is very hard setting up a password and it is taking so long if ever there is a system issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta products, such as Single Sign-On (SSO) which is very helpful for me as a customer service representative since we are using a lot of tools. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Lifecycle Management (Provisioning).
