Okta: A Great Way to Keep Your User Data Secure
What do you like best about the product?
Okta provides a simple, intuitive way to keep your accounts and sensitive data secure beyond just using a password. Okta gives the user peace of mind that their most vital data won't be accessed even if their password is compromised.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had any issues with Okta since we've switched over; it's worked flawlessly for me and my coworkers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization uses Okta to provide a second form of authentication to log in to our accounts beyond just using our passwords. We've found this additional layer of security very helpful, and I don't know of anyone that's had any form of a security breach since the rollout.
Frequent Verification Requests Bottleneck My Workday
What do you like best about the product?
API that connects all technology with users for easy management
What do you dislike about the product?
There are frequent requests to verify between platforms, which gets to be a bit much for users who like to work between multiple tabs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My devices and platforms know me through the API. I also like that the product is scalable.
Reliable 2-Step Authentification
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Okta is reliable. The app will notify you when an attempt has been made to login to your account. It is easy to verify that this is you -- it only takes 2 clicks (once to open the notification and then to click verify).
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love 2-step authentication in general as it feels like a hassle, but of all the platforms available I don't have many complaints about Okta. It's easy to use and reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta is useful in protecting the security of my Google account. We use it for its authentication purposes and it protects my email account from unauthorized attempts to sign in.

What do you like best about the product?
OKTA, allows for the efficient configuration of SAML 2.0 connections with vendor websites. This is fast becoming a core security feature, especially in the legal industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I do not have any complaints other than I don't have enough time to learn more about this very useful product. It is a very malleable and applicable product that makes user access very easy and end-user account management very efficient.

It has definitely made end user access to their professional accounts and personal accounts much more straightforward.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
My best recommendation to others is to take advantage of OKTA tech support. I have dealt with quite a few vendors, and without question, OKTA tech support is responsive, following up very quickly. They are always willing to set up once on one coaching sessions to assist. Finally they will doggedly follow up to ensure that your needs have been met, giving you multiple opportunities to review the situation.

What do you like best about the product?
The feeling of security at work with using this app, as soon as I use an app for work i.e. Office 365, or UKG, etc. I get a notification (Multi-factor authentication) to my Phone inquiring whether or not it was me that made the request and I simply click on that button to confirm it is, in fact, ME, making that request. I feel more secure WHEN using this app.
What do you dislike about the product?
No comment, the app serves it's purpose with what I just described above. More than sufficient for my purposes and feeling of safety.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not solving any real issues other than to verify my identity which makes me feel very safe whenever I do my work instead of fearing all the Cybersecurity threats that we are all afraif of these days.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just use it,period.
Simplest configurable single sign on identity management platform for SSO
What do you like best about the product?
Okta mostly uses the SAML2 authentication protocol. The Okta platform is very easy to configure and user-friendly. Integration with multiple application platforms is seamless. User management operations are easy and organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is on a bit higher side. More documentation for configuration and integration should be available for seamless use. Reporting functionality and logging could have been more useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple Drupal-based customer apps, which we have configured with Okta for SSO. It was really easy to set up, and we didn't face any major challenges while integrating the applications with Okta.
Encryption + app centralization: a win-win?
What do you like best about the product?
Access to all the different apps on one platform - being able to be granted access / log-in (convenience on my end as a user vs. an administrator/IT)
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the search functionality, finding new apps that I need to use / could be using to better structure my work is not intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since I don't have a choice in using it, I am grateful for Okta's ability to be a one-stop platform for log-in info, as well as setting up dual factor authentication.
Okta - the Simple SSO
What do you like best about the product?
Okta is such a simple SSO system, and I love when my work organizations use it. The ability to have a hub of all my frequently used tools, plus one log in for all of them, takes a lot of mental load off me as an employee.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have some troubles using Okta on my mobile device, especially because my current company uses two factor authentication measures. That's ok though, it actually helps me disconnect a bit more from work!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta helps our employees have a single sign on system for all the most used sites and tools needed to do an effective job. It decreases time spent searching for and logging into systems and creates more time for doing day to day tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Okta is the gold standard for SSO & nearly all orgs I have worked at use it. I would highly recommend it as a basic integration for privacy and ease.
