Great single sign on system
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to use my personal mobile phone as an MFA device, and reset/unlock my password remotely. Automatic login to all of my work applications using SSO and Windows authentication integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it's much more convenient than being tied to a hard token for MFA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-service password resets and unlocks, no need to remember multiple passwords.
Don't worry about remembering your passwords ever again

having all my work apps int the same place and not having to remember any of the passwords is very convenient

I had to switch form a Mac to a PC and the plug in never worked again

having all my work apps in the same place saves me a lot of time, also not having to remember the passwords for every freaking app its very convenient

What do you like best about the product?
It allows many apps to be streamlined; they are easily accessible from the web browser. All I have to do is look for the donut at the top right of the screen and all my apps are there. Especially in a workplace where there are many generations and a range of technological experiences, Okta makes it easy for everyone to access everything they need.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really anything I dislike; it's a great software that contributes to productivity. I didn't know what it was before coming to this company so I wasn't immediately familiar with how to use it. Also I don't really know how it works on the back end at all/how all my accounts are streamlined, so if a problem were to come up, I wouldn't know how to fix it and would definitely have to go to an IT person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used it to solve IT problems, onboard by learning about what resources are available to me at my workplace. I'm able to streamline all the apps and share documents, etc with co workers. Especially as we work on editing documents together, it's helpful to be able to have the access right away and not question where we saved things on our drive. It's great to have everything so streamlined. I don't have any more details about specific benefits, but compared to other places I worked that didn't have the software, it's more efficient.

It's a great platform, hopefully your company decides to use it.

Okta doesn’t work with every application we need and sometimes makes it difficult to delete them

Doesn’t integrate well with ADP, which I used to utilize often.

I like that Okta has a handy app available for two factor authentication.

Session will timeout quickly after a short period of inactivity.

I love Okta as a password keeper and that our company’s IT department can simply add me to new softwares, without work on my side.

What do you dislike about the product?
B/c Okta requires a login every 7-days, using it on a mobile device is painful. It recognizes if you have logged in recently, to give you access to your apps, but that’s on a browser by browser basis. So on a mobile phone, nearly ever app you try to log into has its own browser, therefore no cookies persist and you have to login every time. No time savings here, actually takes more time.
