Effective feature flagging and experimentation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, enables controlled feature rollouts and experimentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI breaks when manually targeting over 10k users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly allows us to safely release new features, run experiments, and take risks without impacting the user experience, which speeds up decision-making and iterations.
Launch Darkly simplified the life of developers
What do you like best about the product?
- Availability of service is a big win for our P0 service.
- Use LaunchDarkly extensively, applying various combinations of custom rules provided.
- Easily able to integrate and implement rules.

What do you dislike about the product?
The new portal is not very user-friendly; things have changed quite a bit, and you have to look for where the variations are, etc. The older one was easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launch Darkly assisted in activating features during runtime without needing a deployment to change the flag value. We are also using Launch Darkly for degradation levers, so in case of any panic scenario, we can enable/disable certain configurations accordingly.
It is very good to manage the things
What do you like best about the product?
Easily handle the things if feature flags

What do you dislike about the product?
UI could be better Sometime feel stuck in selecting the variations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launching the features in different country helping me to collect the things
Makes releasing changes a much easier and less stressful experience
What do you like best about the product?
Feature flags allow us to release new features much more quickly because we know we can enable/disable things at the click of a button. They're also hugely configurable so you can enable things for only a subset of users, calls, etc. We use LaunchDarkly basically every day!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint I have is that they seem to redesign their site pretty frequently and that often comes with a short learning curve to get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to enable/disable features and test new changes more easily.
LD Review From A QA Engineer
What do you like best about the product?
-I think the UI for turning on and off flags is intuitive.
-It is easy to know what environments the flag is off and on it
-Turning on and off a flag is easy
-It is easy to know what environments the flag is off and on it
-Turning on and off a flag is easy
What do you dislike about the product?
I do think that when I click on the flag, the history of who turned off the flag and when it was turned off should be more apparent. From a QA engineer's perspective, I need to know this information when triaging software defects.
I also think there should be a better way to toggle flags off and on in automated tests. We wrote our own function to do this, but it would be better from a UX perspective if you all created a cypress or playwright plugin.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing A/B tests. Turning off an on features easily when change is high impact
The favourite way to introduce new features on run time by enabling / disabling toggles from remote
What do you like best about the product?
It gives us flexibility to add new features without making them immediately live by adding toggle and keeping that toggle off in code
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can get a bit daunting to add conditions in the toggles. Mostly its a piece of cake though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We add new feature which we want to enable after some time but code is already pushed. So for that we can add a toggle from Launch darkly and integrate it in code to keep the feature off until triggered on from the LD dashboard.
Easy to accomplish what I need, unclear what advanced features are possible.
What do you like best about the product?
I think LaunchDarkly has been very easy to ramp up on using. For feature gates that I have created, both the creation and rollout process has been very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there are a lot of advanced features of LaunchDarkly that I'm not aware of. This is mainly because I am newer to using the product. Having tutorials or tips for those interested could help reveal a lot of the more powerful features that users aren't aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly is helpful for rolling out new features to a limited set of users and being able to control what percentage see old vs. new behavior. This is beneficial as we roll out changes that might have performance or correctness issues and we can diagnose for some production users without making the changes available to everyone.
Gold Standard!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy LaunchDarkly a lot. It feels so consistent. If there is ever an issue, it is mainly on my own configuration. Integration is easy and consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love more configuration to notify in slack when a feature flag goes stale, along with this, the UI can sometimes be confusing when looking at a specific flag and trying to understand the rules all together if I am not familiar. Along with this, sometimes it is ahrd to find in code, so I would love links from the flags to github.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing for getting code into the world and mitigating its risk.
Great tool for a non-techie
What do you like best about the product?
New to the platform, non-techie, and appreciate the simplicity of it. It allowed me control of my apps without depending on tech team only.
What do you dislike about the product?
Yet to come across a con. It did seem more complex than it actually is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to control rollout of features to users independently, and thus be more confident in managing it directly.
It works like a charm!
What do you like best about the product?
It allows teams to roll out features gradually, to specific users or groups, and even to roll back if something goes wrong, without needing to redeploy code. This flexibility is a huge benefit in managing risk during deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing a large number of feature flags can become cumbersome, leading to flag sprawl. This requires careful management and cleanup of flags that are no longer needed to avoid technical debt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly's feature flags allow you to roll out features gradually, test in production with real users, and quickly revert if something goes wrong without redeploying code. This reduces risk and downtime significantly.
