LaunchDarkly is the most mature feature flag management software
What do you like best about the product?
Easily allows me to do everything related to creating and managing feature flags.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a little easier to use, especially when changing environments
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly is now trying to reinvent how services are deployed and rolled back using their bug detection platform which is really cool. It will benefit all companies discover bugs before their customer base does -- it is called release guardian!
Manager, Software Engineering
What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly allows my team to iterate on features and experiment both internally and externally to ensure the best experience for our customers before fully releasing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Always needing to go to the website to create flags and then copying that into the code. A co-pilot or VSCode integration will be excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to deploy to prod continuously, but not release new features until they are fully baked and vetted.
Allowing us to experiment with a new release and have BETA releases and slow rollouts to see the affect of a new feature.

LaunchDarkly is out of this world
What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly has made it possible to test new features in our testing environments for some people without affecting other people who are testing unrelated features!
What do you dislike about the product?
So far my company has been limited in how many people can interact with LaunchDarkly directly but they are working on that soon!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When using new microservices to replace backend legacy code, sometimes not everything goes as planned and we can quickly go back to the tried and true legacy code on the fly!
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
As a developer, LD allows us to develop features behind a feature flag before releasing it to the public. It also can act as a on off switch
What do you dislike about the product?
From what i heard subscription for per user is expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
continuous delivery, ability to deploy a feature behind a feature flag and turn it on, only when it's ready
Deploy prod changes without deploying
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of testing features and deploying changes "over night" without doing a deployment or app store submission.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not been able to figure out how to alphabetlize / sort values for targets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to launch ui changes at midnight, for example, without having to deploy a code change.

What do you dislike about the product?
maybe some best practices documentation.
for example, we are not sure if to create 2 feature toggles for the FE and BE, or to create one for both.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we want to allow only some companies to use specific feature + specific region...
It is a really good way to update production quickly, the UX is intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
With the team we use it mainly for kill switches, it is an awesome feature that allows to turn on and off experimental code that we would like to proceed with caution.
The backend client for Java is awesome and it already uses the streaming feature, so no need to poll LaunchDarkly for changes in FFs, it is already integrated.

What do you dislike about the product?
At first it was bit overwhelming all the posibilities of contexts since I was planning on using it as a kill switch, but then once one gets familiar, it is not difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly it helps us with the Continuous delivery approach by having feature flags turned off in production and being able to coninuously merge to master and test the features before going forward in production without slowing down the development lifecycle.
The killswitch is awesome, it allows to turn off features that otherwise we would need to ask DevOps team and a lot of bureaucracy.

Full control of enabling/disabling product features at your fingertips
What do you like best about the product?
The ease and simplicity of rolling out features/services to customers enhances the product rollout and provides control of the where/when/how.
What do you dislike about the product?
It used to be I could see the notes/comments on the history without searching so I could easily find the specific account should an edit need to be made. Now that's been added to a Details tearsheet which means I have to search and click through each update
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me manage product beta releases
