Experimentation and feature flags made simple

  • April 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface of LaunchDarkly is sleek. It is easy to switch between different environments and configure experiments or feature flags to only show the test variant to a select subset of users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, no major negatives. Only thing would be that if you approve changes as a reviewer, the owner still has to apply those changes before they get published which has caused a bit of confusion in the past since there is an extra step involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows my team to run experiments and gate features so that we can limit new features to select user cohorts

What do you like best about the product?
Really quick to use and nice that it creates flag for all environments and easy to use both backend and frontend
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally would like to have some sort of dashboard to monitor all environments
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less risky deployments and can use features whenever it is wanted

It allows us to run experiments on new features

Great solution for managing releases of individual features

  • April 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use, Smooth integration with code that relies on Feature Flags, Simplistic UI to do things in the software
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes documentation is not easily accessible and it would be great if the documentation is readily available while using the feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Releasing features to a limited set of users is so easy. This helps immensely in gathering feedback.

Easy to use LaunchDarkly for A/B testing in launch or prod freeze

  • April 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use. Easy to set it up for different environments. Convenient for A/B testing in launch or prod freeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Had some trouble with rotating the LaunchDarkly client API key
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It controls the value for a LaunchDarkly flag. That flag could be used to gate some new feature logic or control targeting.

Great at Feature Flag management

  • April 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly solves the Feature Flag management problem for us.
It has been really reliable in terms of uptime, the documentation + clients make it seamless to use
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UI can be confusing, and the permissioning isn't super straight-forward (especially with giving access to only certain flags).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly helps us setup and manage Feature Flags for our applications.
It's great that we don't have to build our own, and LD's APIs are very fast.

Easy way to manage releases

  • April 19, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a lot fo great features. My favorite one is the percentage rollout option making.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there's a bug where a small number of evaluations returns the wrong value
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allow us to hide new features behing flags and do percentage rollouts for new releases

Love LaunchDarkly features. Support could be a wee bit better.

  • April 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Developing without feature flags? Thing of the past. It's so important to have the ability to turn features on and off. I can't say much about the percentage based targeting, but my team has reduced the number of bugs pushed into production code substantially just by the basis of not turning on said feature until we know everything is good to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only critique has been getting support at times has been frustrating. Days between replies, despite having dedicated support. Hopefully this can be improved, in addition to more 1:1 assistance, as yes, some developers may not consult documentation, but for those of us who do, that's why we're reaching out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bug reduction.
Feature implementation.
