Great product
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the UX is amazing, it's very easy to launch through.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were easier to define recipients, I bet the same patterns repeat all the time, but it's a very manual process.

Very straightforward UX based system to launch new features

What do you like best about the product?
- Love how fast and quick it was to setup, and extremely easy to use.
- SDK and integration was smooth, and they customer support has been fabulous at all times.
- Their infrastructure is reliable, very stable and extremely performant.
- Best thing is their real-time flag change propagation, which happens in less than 200ms.

What do you dislike about the product?
- They sometimes perform drastic changes to the UI which breaks the intuitiveness and habits that have been built.
- Can get a bit expensive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the feature flag management for us, and enables us to do A/B testing across the product. The management and control is very smooth, and we're running over 100+ flags at any given points.

It support for all platforms client, backend, Its performance is good even on low network

The new UI, I like the old UI / UX. Didn't like the UX overall for managing multiple things, Too many details

LaunchDarkly excels at providing seamless feature flag management, enabling quick, controlled rollouts and real-time feature toggling without code redeploys. Its intuitive interface and robust integrations make managing features across environments a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can be a bit pricey for smaller teams, and the learning curve for advanced features might be steep for new users. However, the value it offers justifies the cost for larger projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly is solving the challenge of safely deploying features in a fast-paced development environment. By using feature flags, we can roll out, test, and manage new features without disrupting the user experience. It allows us to quickly toggle features on or off, run A/B tests, and target specific user segments, all while reducing the risk of bugs or downtime. This speeds up our release cycles and helps us deliver more reliable updates to our customers.
Great product that removes the complexity from teams

LD removes alot of the complexities from orgs having to implementt their own a/b testing and/or feature toggling

The hardships i've noticed have been org specific and not with LD

New UI is but unintutive and a total revamp, which requires a larger learning curve

Feature management provides a easy and reliable way to not only controll feature but to also develop degradation levers for high throughput cases

Each config value has a name. Easy to understand the config name.

Hard to create config dependency. No easy way to select set of configs.

Every time we need to enable a feature we need not to deploy our services again . Its saves lot of time that we would need to deploy the services again with new config changes if LD was not there.

What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly allows real-time flag updates without delays, ensuring a smooth and instant response to feature toggles. This platform is fast, reliable, secure, and easy to implement, with an integrated approval mechanism. We found the integration process straightforward, using just a client ID and SDK key, making it incredibly easy to code and set up. Previously, I used a database for flagging, which was slower, and flag changes took time to reflect. Additionally, database connection issues impacted the flag calls. However, these issues were completely avoided once we started using LaunchDarkly.
I change the flags at least 3 to 4 times a day for various testing and development activities, and the process remains consistently smooth. The platform’s seamless integration into our systems has enhanced our workflow. Additionally, the customer support has been responsive and helpful, addressing any issues promptly, which further improves the experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
While LaunchDarkly has greatly improved our feature management, one area for improvement would be adding a dedicated Performance Environment in the portal. Currently, we use the UAT environment for performance testing, which is not ideal.
