Blue Prism is not a product but a platform which allows you to automate wide range of applications. It can be a simple web site, complicated Citrix environment or using web services to exchange data between back end systems. New feature of bpskill to integrate with cognitive services (IBM, Google, Microsoft) is excellent.

Best & Worst about BP

  • April 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, wide range of object, plus user has option to create their own actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest dislike about BP is it's unitability. I have noticed multiple instance where if you are using BP stage, sometime it throws BP internal error. It's really hard to track. Recent example: In one of my project, I was automating mainframe. There I have to add row to collection. This is one of the basic feature of BP. Issue was: Sometime (1 out of 10 run) it throws BP internal error. I tried to contact BP but didn't get satisfactory answer. Luckily, during debug mode, I found the issue was with that stage and I replace it. From then onwards, it was working fine.
So, BP need to review their standard object and make sure they are 100% reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I am working with EY and we have big list of client ranging in different domains. Example: HR, SCM, Finance, etc. List is big enough to explain over here.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will definitely help a business (where work are rule based) to grow by reducing the man powever and increasing the effiency. It's easy to use. Within few weeks of training, you resource can start working on this tool.

Perfect Partner to build a Centre of Excellence

  • April 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is an exceptional enabler for myself to build a CoE (twice). It has enable my team to build some exceptional unattended builds for the benefit of both the business and from the perspective of the critical customer journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to engage more directly with Blue Prism themselves. Having come from a company that is still branded as a Heritage customer of BP to being pushed to a Service Provider is not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the highest level we have automated solutions that will ultimately deliver as phase 1 the equivalent FTE saving of 27 FTE.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Direct involvement with new customers, there is a clear lack of engagement from senior people at events such as BP World. Not recognising new customers and patting the back of older customers is not good!

Blue Prism - The Boss of all Automation

  • April 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is the best and reliable tool for automation. I can say this as I have tried and worked on other automation tools as well. Some important upside points I like are,
1. Reliable and Stable
2. Easy backtracking of the code
3. High library support for custom coding
4. Architecture
5. Ease of use - Even a beginner will be able to automate
6. Forum - which has answer to literally everything
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things I dislike are,
1. Connection issues, outlook automation issues
2. Less support for pdf automation
3. surface automation is a 'plus' but also a 'minus' at some point of time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business FTEs have been reduced at an immensely high percentage
SAP automations are piece of cake
I used mainly in Insurance and personal care domain, where most of the process got automated now.
It is also easy for the process SMEs, that they understand the level of automation that it provides and they get adapted to the requirements that are needed for performing the same
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If u want stable automation processes, consider Blue Prism

    Christer T.

RPA Developer

  • April 16, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Blue Prism, our organization can implement solutions faster than normal IT development.
The program is fast and reliable.
Everyone can develop an RPA solution with Blue Prism with little training. You don't have to be an IT guru or know any kind of programming. The only thing you need is to understand the logic. With some help in the start, you will make your first automated process in a few weeks.
Blue Prism work with IE, Chrome, Firefox and now is Blue Prism developing their own AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside with Blue Prism is that the system is sometimes slow to navigate in. And we have to control our production to see if every resource (Robot server) is online and connected. This takes time, but Blue Prism is on to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We take a health check with Blue Prism. At the same time, we send text messages and emails to customers with information about their case. We mark customers who are "bad" customers. Sends debt collection automatically and sends customers' emails into their car damage.
This solves many from repetitive work and allows us to focus more on the customer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With Blue Prism everyone can use it. You don't need to know how to code, to implement your solution into your organisation
