Using a db also depends on usecase to be satisfied.. Couchbase is best for nosql, massive data mngt.
What do you like best about the product?
I discovered how fast and efficient couchbase is when we used indexing for query efficiency. And the result was brilliant..The query performance drastically bettered when the bucket had massive records. Native queries and stringified queries are easy to be created as syntax is much like mysql.. Couchbase UI makes it very flexible to work and handle with buckets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Until now the only con I discovered is the tutorials are very few on internet regarding native and stringified queries or for couchbase concepts in deep.. The documentation explains the concepts quite well..but does not have enough examples and we need to go through it more than once to understand it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using couchbase as main db to store all the data across the application.
The resiliency of couchbase is great.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's best if usecase is for nosql, when data to be managed is massive and when you have good machine which can handle couchbase efficiently. My experience is based on using couchbase locally in non prod.

It's ok but only for specific cases
What do you like best about the product?
Getting value by key is VERY fast! Also, the couchbase server scales very easy and very successfully horizontally.
What do you dislike about the product?
The N1Ql queries is something useless, in my opinion. They are very slow! I've used couchbase in a very big project with many concurrent requests and I noticed that at some point when you make lots of requests with n1ql, the couchbase server restarts, even though they were nothing performant... only selecting document by key.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are getting millions json documents per seconds with very fast with minor load.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't try to use n1ql

What do you dislike about the product?
Limited number of buckets before performance degrades, lack of security controls in community edition
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started by using it as a cache and have now switched over to Redis. We use couchbase as persistent storage for insurance rating information primarily.
Awesome db software

All the features and functionalities are enough good that makes my database management easier and also efficient. But there is a small issue in the starting which makes new users a little bit confused because it’s user manual that’s not easy to understand. They should make an easygoing manual for the computer understanding of the product. Everything is working fine and also creating a workable environment as well.

Couchbase- No EQUAL
What do you like best about the product?
Couchbase has revolutionized the database world by introducing SQL like capabilities in a Document NoSQL Database for very fast access to your non-schematic data
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I dislike about couichbase since it has been constantly improving as a product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Superfast access to unstructured data with inbuilt caching to serve customers with very less latency and making most out of the throughput
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best NoSQL Database
Couchbase - powerful document store
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using couchbase in Production environments since version 1.0. We love it’s versatility, be it a simple caching layer with memcache compatibility or an advanced document store with N1QL querying.
What do you dislike about the product?
The upgrade path even between minor versions could be smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Both simple caching as well as advanced document databases.
Couchbase NOSQL documented oriented database
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of implementation and configuration. Command line tools are easy to use for adhoc tasks. Least maintenance from administration point of view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently there is a hard limit of 10buckets in couchbase. This would limit the total number of different apps that can be onboarded per environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Load attribute records from hadoop to couchbase bucket. Each record in the bucket is a key-value combination. The key is unique and value is a JSON document with different attributes. Lookup is very fast in couchbase.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are not able to onboard some of our applications because there is a hard limit of 10 buckets that can be created in CouchBase.
Working with couchbase
What do you like best about the product?
I entered a project with couchbase already integrated and I used it as a datastore for one of the apps.
It was relatively simple to work with, the included groovy jdk seemed decently documented and wasn't a pain to work with. It was missing some key features however(batch gets) so we had to write a service ontop of their jdk.
I mainly did operations through the console. It was ok. It was hard to use couchbase like a rds instance since it is a nosql db. Stuff like querying for documents with certain fields had to be done by first setting up indexes.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you aren't getting any specific documents by their ID then you have to setup a index.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a datastore for documents that our app used for persistence.
