Good Product
What do you like best about the product?
We operate a highly redundant platform that requires reliable hardware and software. The HAProxy's product give a sucure and flexible soultion for our load balancing needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve to get through the configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Load balance solution without having to upgrade hardware
No issues running it at home

Open source nature, ease of self hosting at home

N/A, it worked perfectly for my needs hosting it on kubernetes

Scalabilty and options to control sepárate boundaries for traffic upstream and downstreams, rules, networking options complete availability, wide use cases, long presence as stable solución.

Not a dislike, but it lost visbility vs Nginx ingress controller on kubernetes.

Especially related to API Gateway. Partially loadbalancing.

HAProxy is a reliable, high-performance load balancer that’s perfect for handling heavy traffic. It’s easy to configure and integrates well with monitoring tools, making it ideal for scaling applications. Highly recommended!

Can be difficult to setup and configure.
