It delivers reliable, high performance, helping our marketplace stay fast and online even during massive booking spikes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configuration syntax has a steep learning curve, and it can quickly become difficult to manage by hand as our architecture grows and becomes more complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps prevent site downtime and slow search speeds during peak travel seasons, ensuring a seamless booking experience and protecting our revenue.

Easy HAProxy Configuration with Excellent Real-Time Traffic Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Having recently switched our load balancer infrastructure to using HAProxy the ease of configuration and ability to monitor the traffic and connections in real time is significantly better than the other open source load balancer software we've used previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The stats interface is quite dated but does contain all the required info. It can also be tricky finding accurate documentation on the open source versions website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple services with a range of servers behind the load balancer. Historically we've used nginx to try to surface these sites and load balance but had issues with observability and configuration, haproxy fixes these issues and makes for an easy deployment experience.

I really appreciate the flexibility of the load-balancing features.

So far, I haven’t discovered a single feature that I don’t like.

Load balancing is filtering and routing traffic on both layer 7 and 4
Extremely Stable and Reliable—A True Set-and-Forget Solution

The fact that it's extremly stable and reliable, our bussiness is using it for a few usecases and it's the solution we just set and forgot about it

I don't have anything bad to say about it, haproxy does the big lifting in the background and we are happy with it

HAProxy solves scalability and reliability challenges by intelligently routing traffic and automatically handling server failures. This allows us to maintain performance and avoid service interruptions as demand grows.
Raw Performance and Excellent Kubernetes Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The raw performance if it. Additionally I really like the Kubernetes integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of any at the moment. I really wish though to become have a greater community for the gateway api implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest advantage Haproxy has for my use case case is the ability to support advanced sticky tables.

How performant and reliable we have found it in using it
