My Vembu experience
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface...very easy to use and to find items.
What do you dislike about the product?
Email notifications...it only allows one email address and I need to send to more than one person

Disaster recover and backup on the operating system level of files and systems

The best offline backup
What do you like best about the product?
I like the incremental schedule, it helps to keep 1 copy and only do modified files.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of right now there are no downfalls to this system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all of my vms backed for the just incase.
Easy to use UI
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very intuitive and easy to navigate. I love being able to restore to bare metal.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vembu has met my needs perfectly. I have not come across a feature that is missing or anything I do not like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup solution for VMware environment. I have about 20 VMs. I love the ability to restore directly to a host/datastore.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and relatively easy deployment. I've used the free version to backup a tiny two-node Hyper-V HA cluster. Installation was a breeze and in less then an hour, everything worked as planned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. For my limited purpose, it just worked right out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage a few small HA clusters at different sites across the country that, in essence, run just a single application on one VM. The application has to run on-site and on-line backups are not practical (limited bandwidth) in some cases and not possible in others. Vembu solves this problem neatly, providing us with a cheap (free!) solution that allows us to reliably backup everything to an on-site NAS.

What do you like best about the product?
Automatic update of cluster allowing users to add virtual machines to be added and automatically backed up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to exclude templates. This was causing issues with the automated backups

Backing up entire virtual environment. Making sure you can remotely restore a machine in a cloud environment

making sure it will fit a multi cloud setup

What do you like best about the product?
Vembu has been very reliable in my Server backups. If there is a problem, I get regular emails telling me the current status of each backup
What do you dislike about the product?
Vembu support is VERY responsive. My only issue is that there is sometimes a language barrier. Their English is hard to understand at times because they speak so fast.

Vembu frees up my time and provides my customers with a secure feeling that if there was a hardware failure , they can be back up and running in a very short period of time

Fully test before going into production. Each install has it's own unique set of challenges

What do you like best about the product?
Had a server up and running in under 30 mins ready for backups and receiving a backup. Implementation is always a pain point. This quick spinup time was a nice break.
What do you dislike about the product?
No AD intergration for remote deployments, reports are limited

Using the free version for not to backup a DC in a clients environment while waiting for ISP to increase bandwidth for offsite backups.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Domain deployment is non-existant, was unable to deploy with a GPO or other tools. Had to manually install on workstations. Not good for a large deployment (free version but using a premium trial). A RMM might be able to help with a custom script.
Easy to setup
What do you like best about the product?
Vembu is really simple to setup and gives you fine control of what to backup in your DataCenter. You can set it up to backup hosts of a the whole cluster.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be neat if incremental backups were supported in the free edition.
However the free edition is really generous in allowing you backup unlimited VMs.

Cloud based licensing and free version

Terrible install procedure for secure environments - requires significantly elevated rights to install the agent

The solution is very complete, has a lot of features and is 100% trustable.

The lack of possibilities of bare metal recovery, because you cant do this just with a recovery media and the backup HD
