Solid product, great support, lacking some developer-friendly features
What do you like best about the product?
Their offering has evolved over the years, but it's still technically solid and their customer service still surprises me with how helpful they are - it doesn't feel scripted or performative, which is rare in this space.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know the architecture is set up how it is for a reason, but I miss having greater control over the different pieces of my hosting stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting hundreds of WordPress sites, from simple "brochureware" sites to high traffic WooCommerce stores.
Over promised and under delivered
What do you like best about the product?
Adding new websites was simple but their cloudflare integration (that costs 250/m) was a complete waste of money and just an upsell. I highly recommend not purchasing any of their addons
What do you dislike about the product?
I was promised a scalable server for my growing web agency when I signed up for hosting with WP Engine. Only after I migrated 45 websites over to their hosting platform, I found that my server was not scalable. Every website on the server I paid $750/m for was painfully slow within the WP Admin area and every time I tried to reach out to support, I didn't get answers and got passed off to the next support person. Support ticket after support ticket and it took months for them to get back to me with no solution. When I tried to contact my sales rep about it, he at first blew me off by saying he would look into it, and then it took a couple of months later (after I followed up several times, he setup a call between myself and his boss. The call fell short, and they said there is nothing they could do to help me other than 'look into temporarily increasing the server performance".
Understanding that the team at WP Engine did not care about my sites or my 750/m, I migrated everything away to Gridpane and a custom server setup that is actually scalable. In my opinion, WP Engine is not worth the money. They have gotten too big and have forgotten about the smaller agencies and customers that got them to where they are. I highly recommend checking out other hosting options before you move more than one website over to WP Engine.

They solved no problem and offered no benefit to me and my agency. We ended up leaving WP Engine after less than 6 months of use because of lack of performance and support
A Good Choice but not for me

What do you dislike about the product?
WP Engine appears to have some internal caching that doesn't always clear easily and causing a delay in being able to see updates to the site's live.

Management of some customer websites, with an easy dashboard, that makes it easy to switch between clients and their websites.
Decent, hands off, and a tad slow.... But very reliable overall

They are a white glove sort of company with very good customer service, rather easy to get working, and just enough options while not too many things to get lost.

The performance is a tad slow for woocommerce and they were never able to get it faster.

What do you like best about the product?
They offer extremely easy to manage WordPress installations. You don't have to worry about server setup, upgrades, etc. They also make it very easy to roll back to a previous version of the site if you make a catastrophic mistake.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to integrate into a modern development workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WPE allows us to work nimbly with a lean team. It also allows our creators to rapidly publish content which increases productivity.

It backs up my website daily and automatically in case I make any mistakes.

I think it has more capabilities than I understand how to utilize.

Best hosting platform for performance of WordPress website
What do you like best about the product?
If we are not starting from scratch with WP Engine, we have an option to migrate our website completely from another hosting provider to WP Engine. And this migration process is very easy and automatic. We can get here many security features such as when there is a plugin which can harm the site it notifies us.
What do you dislike about the product?
WP Engine is very costly as we can get cheaper hosting providers in the market of the same or less cost with exact specifications. So, I think they should have to work on their pricing structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Earlier, we have used WP Engine for hosting our WordPress website. But then we switched as it was way too costly than other platforms. Apart from cost, it has the best performance for hosting of any WordPress website.

With it's one click install feature you can install famous CMS for your website in one click like WordPress, joomla, drupal.

Its provide late updates for plugins under CMS service.

It provides simple web hosting service plus firewall for your application. That is a great service for website security.
Recommended for your mission critical WordPress site hosting
What do you like best about the product?
WP Engine is more of a technology company that is developing solutions centered around WordPress CMS. They have proprietary tools for migration, backups. agency billing. Armed with pro Studio Press themes that you get with your hosting for free, your WordPress site looks great that is powered by the Genesis framework. Recently, Atlas is their endeavor to make WordPress sites headless. You get almost 100 percent uptime with a 24x7 chat support. Features like one-click login to WordPress admin dashboard from WPEngine make your WordPress experience the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is on the higher side with the starter plan @25$ per month. While this is still cheap for a service that is designed for a mission critical site, most small bloggers, businesses will find it infeasible.

Hosting our WordPress sites on WP Engine. Managing a site on WP Engine is smooth with pro StudioPress themes, 24x7 chat support and more.
Reliable up time and excellent customer service
What do you like best about the product?
I simply no longer need to worry about my sites getting hacked, becoming outdated or going down.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit pricey for startups. There's a big cost jump between lower levels and the mid-tier.

They saved my website from an awful hack that took my business down for some weeks. I haven't had any more problems since switching to WP Engine.
