Postfix MTA

What do you like best?
Quite fully featured; it's a drop-in sendmail replacement; default MTA for Ubuntu.
What do you dislike?
Fully featured but configuration is guaranteed to be tricky.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
MTA replacement for sendmail. Benefits: active development, so we are satisfied about security; support from Ubuntu with default configuration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consideration: if you want quick and easy deployment, might want to go with Exim instead of postfix, which requires a fair bit of customization at the outset. Exim is also Free open-source software, and is designed for quicker setup.

I would recommend Postfix if a company was debating on using the system.

What do you like best?
I like that Postfix is very secure, for the most part. Postfix uses a majority of the security mechanisms for reliable sources such as MMDF and qmail. It is also easy to use for the most part if you are not super tech savy.
What do you dislike?
I dislike that Postfix is solely avaliable in source form, and cannot be precompiled or in prepackaged binaries.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Postfix is used for our list mail server. Some of the benefits I have realized is that it is pretty easy to configure to do whichever tasks you want it to complete, and it is fairly easy to utilize if you do not have a strong technology background.

Excellent, reliable, secure

What do you like best?
Postfix allows our company to store and sort, and utilize data to our advantage because of its processing and seamless software. I enjoy using it. Other software can be difficult to use and can make it hard for the user to find what they are looking for.
What do you dislike?
The only thing I dislike is the fact that the platform is a little uninteresting. It can be difficult to see things because everything is the same color white.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It helps us stay organized, be able to pull data faster and more efficiently, and create systems for managing data and technology.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you chose the best software for you -- don't choose one based on price and cut yourself short.
