Great visualization tool

What do you like best about the product?
Connects to a large number of data sources. As part of a large organization, we have many different data sources and it seems DOMO can talk to them all, a rarity in my experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like better explanations when an error occurs. They tend to be a bit vanilla that basically just say you can't do what you are trying to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DOMO gives everyone a unified view of our data, rather than numbers of dollars, sites, interactions, etc. changing with whoever is creating the report.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Identify the few key areas you want to focus on first, get those smooth and everyone comfortable with them, then expand.

Functional Design with Deep Insights

What do you like best about the product?
The build process makes it easy to find the most insightful easy to interpret way to display the data. Once you have found your preferred delivery method, you always have that reference any time the business question repeats itself.

It also helps that the design is well done which allows you to take the data right out of Domo and display in other formats as needed (powerpoint, paper reports, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found Domo support time to be lacking on multiple occasions, luckily we don't need it often.

Learning the nuances of the tool are difficult to worth through as there is no strong onboarding or initial training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time reporting is essential to the success of our business. Reports that used to take multiple employees hours every morning to prepare are now waiting for management every morning when the office opens.

The ability to build a card and have it stay up to date with fresh data is fantastic. Business questions will often repeat themselves. If you build a card every time you have a new business question come up, and keep them organized in a manner that you are quickly able to find and reference it, you will never miss an opportunity due to inability to find an answer to your question again.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have thoroughly vetted what it takes to get your data into Domo, if you can get your data in, the rest is history.

Domo is Revolutionizing Business Intellgence

What do you like best about the product?
At my current company, we delivered more in 2 months leveraging Domo than I had ever been able to deliver in 3+ years using other enterprise business intelligence software like SAP/Business Objects, Cognos and Microsoft. With Domo, we achieved ROI in 60 days. What typically took a team of 10 Business Intelligence Developers to build and maintain, we were able to accomplish with 1 full-time developer. Domo has provided a single-version of the truth, eliminated rogue, stove-piped reporting, enabled business users to "fish for themselves" and we've recently piloted the BigSquid Predictive Toolkit, which enables companies to analyze data and create powerful predictive analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
No negative feedback about Domo at all - there was nothing we needed or wanted to do that we could not solve with the Domo platform. However, as with ANY business intelligence platform, implementing the technology with the appropriate IT controls and Information Management governance is key. Without best-practice policies, procedures and processes for user access, training, security, SDLC, change management, meta-data management and documentation, your business intelligence program is at risk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

2) Time to Market (Delivered 27 data sources and 127 cards, dashboards and reports in <60 days)

3) Data Connector Library (pre-built connectors to over 1000 data sources)

4) 100% on the Cloud but works with Cloud, SaaS and hosted data sources

5) 24x7x365 access to data, cards, reports, dashboards and incredible mobile experience

6) DomoBuzz allows users to communicate/collaborate on data, reports, cards and dashboards in real-time

7) ISO27001/002 Information Security Standards and Data Encryption in transit/at rest

8) Excellent customer service and very capable technical support

9) Domo Apps (like the Apple Store) provide over 1000 incredible third-party tools and applications that extend the capability of the Domo BI Platform (such as the BigSquid Predictive Toolkit or Google Maps Pinboard, etc.)

10) Incredible end-user experience. Enables business users with an easy to understand user interface to analyze data, interact with reports, slice, dice, perform "what if" scenario analysis and to create reports in a safe, secure environment.

Best BI Platform out there. Period.

Great platform for executive reporting

What do you like best about the product?
Domo has revolutionized data reporting in my organization. It has given visability across departments and streamlined intelligence operations for our executive team. Teams know where to report their data and how to make data reach the eyes of decision makers. Both stakeholders and executives can quickly and easily create data like they like it.

I love Domo's ability to pull in information from any data source. Virtually any data source can be pulled into Domo and the represented as a chart or table. From there, Domo's ability to marry data from disparate sources is its strongest tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data transformations and merges can be tricky.

At times, users can be at the mercy of pre-made templates and connectors. EG, QuickBooks' connectors and reports are thin, and there is no way to improve them without help from QB (who won't help).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create a centralized place for all executives to go for their source of truth reporting needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a well skinned, easy to use, reporting suite, consider Domo. It is a challenge to set up, but you will be rewarded with a tool that your executives will use as their go-to source of up-to-date information.

With any software or new process, you MUST have a champion and an executive sponsor to drive adoption. If you have this, you will have a lot of usage from your team.

Great analytics and visualization tool, difficult implementation process.

What do you like best about the product?
Once your data is built, and in the system, the visualization and reporting possibilities are nearly endless. We use Domo as our primary marketing analytics dashboard and whenever my CMO requests a different view or report, rarely can I not achieve that is requested with Domo. The breadth of data integrations is also strong, but with a serious caveat.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementing Domo was very very time consuming and challenging. Domo makes use of third-parties for implementations and in many cases, they do not have the same knowledge as Domo directly. Additionally, there were several instances where Domo support provided an enhanced version of a data connector that we didn't have access it. It was like a "secret" connector you could get with more functionality if you knew the right person or said the right thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing one single view of our marketing data from Salesforce.com, Pardot, Google Adwords, Analytics, etc. Ultimately we achieved exactly what we wanted to, having instant access to all the data in once place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be wary of what integration means. While Domo can pull in data from many sources, it can be difficult to get the data to work as needed. Example: the Pardot integration is a pure data dump and required months of building data flows and ETLs to be able to do simple things like report on the number of people in a list or those who registered for a marketing event. Few people at Domo know anything about Pardot.

Additionally, integration to Google Adwords is simply a hack to Google Sheets and required multiple data flows and configurations to get function. To this day, the data is spotty and takes 3 days to update.

Excellent for unifying disparate data sources

What do you like best about the product?
DOMO has many great features, but one thing I especially appreciate is the ability to (quite easily) join data sets. When working with multiple systems for data input, DOMO makes it simple to unify on a unique field and have that master data set to build upon for visualizations. DOMO also has a TON of data connectors, so changes are you'll easily be able to connect to any major system you're using.
What do you dislike about the product?
DOMO sometimes has some weird bugs. It's very rarely something that actually prevents me from getting my work done, but at times it's frustrating. Having said that, I've seen the DOMO team fix many of these issues.

I'd also like to see branching drill downs--not sure how in-scope that is for DOMO, but being able to drill on different paths based on previous level's selection would be awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Viewing customer satisfaction across the business. Using DOMO has enabled me to give an executive view of csat, then drill into the critical touchpoints to understand how we are performing.

Interesting BI Solution But Can Do Better Esp For The Pricing

What do you like best about the product?
Executive Dashboard that once you start connecting is really amazing.

The connectors are really the selling point and a really solid piece of software. It's easy to connect even Google Analytics to SAP. Even advanced analytic with the cards is relatively simple.

I love how i can pivot the data any which way i would like. Ease of Use and Wide Range of Reports thus gets full marks.
What do you dislike about the product?
First the price point for the technology is too high. 7000 USD per month for just a handful of connectors is way way too high especially since in that price point i can probably hire a couple of people to do the job just as well.

It's a Dashboard solution and whilst it does the job well, the value one gains by the data extraction is usually less than the cost of the solution. I have yet to get any WOW! insights from the software.

There's no way to get access to the raw data sets either. No Ad-Hoc reporting.

It's also a steep learning curve despite their best intentions and support. Domo on day one is hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a marketing consultancy, we link advertising campaign management across multiple platforms (including traditional) and digital datasets e.g. Analytics & Performance based advertising to our client's internal systems from sales to related KPIs. In short marketing & business reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I always feel that we're usually ahead of other businesses as far as using Data is concerned in our organization. We had used Qlikview & Tableau before so perhaps the WOW! wasn't there. So with that, I would say that each organization is different and perhaps has a different viewpoint of DOMO. Give it a trial run to see how well it'll work out for you.

It is quirky. We have had mystery aspects of Domo pop up but Tech support never seems to be able to figure out then it goes back to "normal"

Great drill down product!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy to read graphs with the ability to create the dashboards and reports that are meaningful for our team. We use call dispositioning and we found that some users were using the wrong disposition and it was easily displayed in a Domo report. We were able to drill down into the report and see in a bar graph, with different colors, the data we needed. Ease of use and the wide range of reports at our fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike the lack of information online for user help and information coming from other companies. We would like to know how some other companies use the dashboards and reports and what they look like. Domo keeps this very secret and their ecosystem is unknown. I wish I could ask other companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the issue of discovering outliers. We are also solving the issue of finding out who is being the most effective with their time. We have realized these benefits by firing a few individuals who were shown the reports, told how to change, trained how to change, and then compared multiple months. We saved inefficiency and were able to do more with a smaller team. We also were able to promote individuals and motivate other individuals by percentage increases in the reports and dashboards we created. Specifically around the dial metrics but we also used closed acv, appointments set to close, and appointments that fell through. Training purposes as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When considering Domo, make sure to let them know all the kpi that are important to you. That meaning key performance indicators. They will then direct you to build those reports and how to do so. Without it, you will be lost.
