Out of the box tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, collects a vast amount of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many features can be confusing at times, with limited relevant functionality and advanced as needed enabled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool helps to categorize the data in a standardized way. Having a massive amount of data and not retrieving the desired output from it is frustrating. This exactly solves the problem by categorizing the data

A potentially great took that needs some work
What do you like best about the product?
The platform's drag-and-drop email builder is reasonably simple and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform does not seem to have been built by marketers and therefore does not solve many of the challenges marketers face. The platform feels clunky and does not present straightforward ways to complete your desired task.
Additionally, the platform has a lot of random bugs that hinder your ability to work within the platform seamlessly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We intended to use Acquia Marketing Cloud for full-funnel marketing & sales reporting, integration between Marketing Cloud and Salesforce, and lead nurturing campaigns. We have had difficulty in getting any of these challenges resolved with the use of this platform.
Acquia Marketing Cloud for Email Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
I love the drag and drop editor for automation flows. It's very user friendly and easy to navigate. Their list segmentation tool is very powerful as well and allows for tons of filtering options for email lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like their reporting tool. Being in email marketing being able to easily pull reporting is super important and unfortunately their tool was glitchy and innacurate when it came to email reporting metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy-to-use open source platform that provides a powerful email marketing tool for automations and list segmentation.
Personalization and DAM are the most effective way to manage the website marketing.
What do you like best about the product?
The way we can add segments personalized marketing pages for campaign. Also with DAM a single place where we can categorize and add foelds to each assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has two UI expereroence now. One that shows the acquia lift UI and other shows the region specific one.
https://us-east-1.lift.acquia.com/#personsearch:accountId=Organization;
https://app.lift.acquia.com/Organization/personalize/sites
It will better if we can merge the user experience into one UI.
DAM lacks transformation of asset(images in particular) on the fly and also no global link which we can share with our customers without logging into the DAM.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now I'm into the listening mode only. Plans are their to extend the current package to have A/B testing, Campaingn and personalzed pages .
DAM we are using the upto date one.

Strong solution to many problems
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the speed to which users can pick up basic skills. There is a lot of flexibility built into this out of box which is nice since you can't always plan for everything. The campaign builder has enough options included where you can build around potential limitations with a little creativity. Form and email creation is intuitive and doesn't require engineering resources to maintain. Additionally, I like that the cloud UI is clearly not an afterthought. It has a clean design and organization which makes it easy to move around in.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any system there are inherent bugs or limitations. I haven't encountered anything yet that has prevented the goal from being accomplished, but have had to think outside the box a little. Additionally there are some basic functionality tasks that aren't as intuitive as you would expect, for example manually adding a single contact to a segment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using this for news alerts. This is inclusive of housing the email template, contact lists and utilization of the API for triggering mail sends. In addition, we also use focus items on various sites as well as tracking to build multichannel profiles on users within a clients ecosphere. The ability to have this type of configuration done in a system as intuitive as this allows for non technical resources to be able to assist in strategy and implementation of campaigns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a lightweight marketing automation platform that can be maintained without extensive technical resources, this is definitely a great option to consider.
Great personalization tool. Not great for A/B testing
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Acquia Lift for about a year now. The best thing about Lift is it is simple to create segments within the tool based off of data you collect on the website. Personalization can get complicated so having an easy tool that can help prioritize personalization views makes the tool streamline and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Originally I thought Lift could be a replacement for A/B testing software but after attempting it several time it just didn't work like I thought it would. I would not recommend using Lift as a replacement A/B testing tool until they update the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personalizing the experience on the website for key persona groups and what stage they are in the buying funnel. We did see a lift in conversions & site traffic. It took a while to realize this because Lift don't do the best job showing the analytics.

Acquia Lift are improving their platform and have already made set up much easier than in the past. I think they still need to improve the analytical side of the software or find a way to integrate with other analytical softwares.

Frustrating
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can use native Drupal entities for variable content and that content can be published across multiple sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Experience Manager frustrating to use at times. I also discovered that you can't bring any JS code into variable content, even if it comes from your own site. Also the Marketo Connector does not do any syncing of the database it only brings in records that already exist in Lift.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using to display variable content based on geo location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The real challenge with personalization is having a plan and the resources to execute. Also you need to make sure you can get the data that will allow you to personalize in a meaningful way. Otherwise it will not go well no matter what tool you pick.
Nascent technology with a yet to materialize product roadmap
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, there isn't really much that I like about the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The promised roadmap has yet to materialize. For example, the team has been promising machine learning or some type of algorithmic content recommendations for years, but don't seem to be anywhere near ready to release that.
Additionally, it's much more complicated to create experiences that it needs to be.
Last, the analytics don't make it very easy to determine whether or not the experiments actually drive the business results we care about.
In short, I'm unable to create the personalization experiences that I want (recommendation engine) or see the effectiveness of our efforts (analytics).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are attempting to personalize to a mix of known and unknown users. Within the segments, I want both rules-based and algorithmic experiences so that I can set somethings and let the machine figure out the rest.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would look at other vendors with a more mature product.
Easy to use product with great support
What do you like best about the product?
The product has made our ability to deliver our website incredibly efficiently. And every need we have is taken care of by the Acquia team.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are early in our implementation, but so far, no issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to understand who is coming to our websites and how they are engaging with us. We also have to be more effective at getting them into the MQL funnel, and Lift will be the tool we use to do all of this.
