A fast, user-friendly solution that gives 100% results

  • November 10, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We are using UiPath for office automation for our clients. We use many activities of UiPath. We are using CV, RegEx, Excel automation, and email automation.

We are working on a project for a billing company in the US that takes care of patient records for a hospital and saves them on a website. We are handling the patient billing system. We have an email as input at the start of the automation. The bot reads the input. In the input, we have the patient's name and date of birth. The bot searches the patient's name in the EMR hospital application and gets the PDF from the application. We have put some filters on the application. In the PDF, we have a patient's details and a record of their visits and the issues they are having. The bot then uploads the PDF on a website.

We process multiple records. There could be 2,000 pages or 500 pages. It varies based on the patient. For example, an 80-year-old might visit the hospital once or twice a week and will have a bigger file with notes and pictures of their visits. We follow HIPAA regulations for extracting patient information.

How has it helped my organization?

It is very fast and convenient. Bots give you 100% results and work 24/7. Humans work eight hours a day, but bots can work 24/7 for you. They save time and bring efficiency.

UiPath brings accuracy. It gives you 100% results. When we do things manually, there can be human errors, but bots do not make any errors.

In the last two to three years, we have done millions of processes. If we give this work to a person, it will take that person ten years to process. For automation, we are using multiple instances and virtual machines. If we need more processing, we can use more VMs. It saves time, and it works 24/7.

It has been a good experience. UiPath is efficient and fast. There are multiple RPA solutions, but UiPath is very user-friendly. It is very easy and fast to learn. We do not need to know how to code for UiPath. It is coding-free. We just have to make a logic. We just need to know the basics but not the advanced things.

UiPath saves a lot of time. Bots are ten times faster than humans.

UiPath APIs were helpful for extracting data from the website and doing the work very quickly. We could get the data directly from the website database. It did not require going to the website, typing the URLs, etc. We could directly send a request to the website and get all the required data.

I have used Document Understanding a little bit for extracting the data from the PDF and images. Document Understanding machine learning capabilities, but I have not used it much. Other teams use it, and the feedback is that it is very effective and fast. They are probably using the Enterprise version for Document Understanding.

What is most valuable?

There are two things that are very useful. The first one is RegEx, and the second one is LINQ. UiPath is giving us Excel activities, but it is very slow. With LINQ, we are extracting data from Excel in a very quick way. It is very easy and very fast. RegEx is helpful in quickly getting specific data or text from a chunk of text.

We are also using CV. It is very useful because it uses an image for clicking and extracting data.

What needs improvement?

If we want to learn something new about UiPath, we sometimes cannot learn it directly from the UiPath Academy. We have to go and search on the web. It takes a few searches to find the solution. We do find it, but it takes time. UiPath should give the solution in one area.

For how long have I used the solution?

I started in 2020. It has been three years since I have been working with UiPath.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable. They are updating things, but it is stable with the previous code.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is very scalable. The scalability part is very good.

We have a small team working with UiPath. There are five to ten people.

How are customer service and support?

We have not contacted them much. There was an issue one to two years ago, and we contacted their support. They gave us a solution.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used Automation Anywhere, and I have also used Power Automate a little bit.

In Automation Anywhere, we cannot use CVs. Maybe in the enterprise version, we can use them, but I did not see CVs and other activities in Automation Anywhere. It is also web-based, which is not a good thing, whereas UiPath is application-based.

Power Automate is a very useful tool for Excel automation or web automation, but UiPath is the best for our needs.

UiPath is very fast and convenient. It gives 100% results. It is very easy. If needed, we can also use Python or JavaScript code to make a logic for automation.

How was the initial setup?

I was not involved in its deployment. For maintenance, we just update the UiPath version. We have not had any issues.

As RPA developers, we use UiPath to create automation and then we hand over the bots to the support engineers. They oversee the processing in Orchestrator. They see the automation logs and the graphs. If a bot is not working properly, they send us a message to fix it. We are using CV. If the image changes, our bot will give a failure, and we have to fix that. We might get an error once or twice a week.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I am using the Community version in my office and personally.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend UiPath to others, and I would give it the best rating. I have used other tools, but UiPath is my preferred tool.

I would rate UiPath a nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

What is our primary use case?

We use it for various purposes like account management, finance, HR, and procurement.

How has it helped my organization?

We can complete all tasks within a single, unified platform. Whether it's documentation or deliveries, there's no need for multiple tools—it's all streamlined and straightforward. There's been a decrease in human errors which means we can skip the manual revalidation process. It's remarkably efficient, freeing up more than fifty percent of employees' time.

What is most valuable?

The standout features are data scraping and data analysis. It enables us to implement automation seamlessly from start to finish. It is user-friendly and significantly speeds up the development process.

What needs improvement?

The primary concern revolves around the high costs of licensing. It would be beneficial for them to develop plans or packages, especially for countries where people are more budget-conscious. Adjusting the pricing strategy could make the platform more accessible to a broader audience. It would be beneficial if there were options to extend the data storage period, coupled with dashboard views and analytic features for a more comprehensive and streamlined experience.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with it for seven years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate its stability capabilities eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability is a strong suit; it can effortlessly expand its capacity and functionality to meet specific needs.

How are customer service and support?

Support is somewhat dependent on the presence of a distributor in our region. Dealing with issues often involves going through video communication numerous times. The current setup, due to security reasons, makes troubleshooting challenging without direct access. Having direct access to support through the account holder would make things more convenient. I would rate it four out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We utilized Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and similar options before settling on UiPath. Initially, the prices were acceptable, but lately, they've hiked up.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup might seem complex at first, but once you get used to it, it becomes more manageable and straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

The deployment time varies, usually taking half a day to two or three hours, contingent on the infrastructure. Maintenance typically requires only one person.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is quite an expensive solution.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We transitioned from WorkFusion to UiPath due to the superior functionalities offered by UiPath.

What other advice do I have?

It's crucial to evaluate not only the technological aspects but also the pricing structure when choosing a platform. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Microsoft Azure

Saves time, makes it easy to build automations, and speed up digital transformation

  • November 06, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I find the solution easier to use than other platforms and it's a user-friendly way to automate.

What is most valuable?

I work with Excel files, and I find it helps make it easier to work with the files.

The ease of building automation is okay. I just use the community version, however, I have found it's much better than others. Their community version is more user-friendly than many options. I really appreciate the useability of document processing. I mostly use the solution for document processing and invoice comparisons. It's simple.

I've used the user community and have been in touch with one person who was very helpful. They've helped guide me. I've gotten positive responses and good answers. It's helped me learn how to do comparisons between two Excel files, for example.

I've enrolled in UiPath Academy courses. I've also enrolled in Coursera courses. I'm still in the learning process. They have good tutorials.

I've used some of the AI processes. It is very efficient to use the AI functionality. We've gotten very good responses and results so far. We have found the responses we're getting are good. It helps with creating more efficiencies.

It has helped speed up digital transformation.

UiPath has helped to reduce human error. We're able to build effective automation. We're creating software boards where the bot will do what we say and pull what we are trying to pull.

The solution does help us save time.

I'm still learning the solution; it has yet to help me save money.

What needs improvement?

I'm not sure how UiPath is at data scanning. I need to look into this further.

They need to work on security.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used the solution for about one month.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I haven't faced any stability difficulties, at least on the community version.

How are customer service and support?

I've never contacted technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've used Power Automate and ElectroNeek. I found there were a lot of issues with ElectroNeek and Power Automate. For example, they are not good with ChatGPT or data scraping. They are also not as user-friendly.

How was the initial setup?

The solution was very easy to set up.

The implementation took only ten to 15 minutes. It was my first attempt to set it up. Aside from an internet issue, I had no problems.

What about the implementation team?

I handled the initial setup myself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't have any insights into the pricing of the solution. I'm using the community version. If I like it, I will buy the paid version.

What other advice do I have?

I'm an RPA developer who started working with the solution. I recently worked with Power Automate. I'm familiar with the UiPath community version. I'm not extremely familiar with UiPath as I haven't used it for very long.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten - at least, for the community version.

Fair pricing, easy automation building, and good support

  • November 01, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We're a consulting firm and we use the solution to automate various systems, mostly in data processing, including in the customer service department. We're also using it to take advantage of artificial intelligence.

How has it helped my organization?

We've noticed a lot of benefits. For example, I've noted a reduction in errors in data processing and analysis. We've also been able to increase our working hours. We don't necessarily need to have a human workforce going around the clock. There are some hours or some shifts where we rely on the robot to take care of the workflow. We've also been able to apply artificial intelligence to our work to amplify the customer service experience and help us be efficient and fast.

What is most valuable?

The pricing is pretty fair. It fits various types of organizations.

The support has been very good. We appreciate it. Support is in various languages.

Building automation is very easy. You can deploy anywhere and you can even access the platform using a mobile device, web browser, or iPad. This flexibility makes it easy to use.

It allows us to handle end-to-end automation, mostly for data analytics and data processing. With this option, we are able to work through processes 24/7. This reduces the amount of downtime.

The community has been very helpful. You can go there if you have minimal problems instead of going to support or having to shut down your whole system. You can contact someone in your community, and they can help share insights. It's helpful for teaching staff how to use the platform.

We've been able to reduce our on-premises footprint. At the same time, we've been able to grow our digital footprint.

We have dashboards where we can monitor staff, and even if they are far away or working from home, we are able to monitor everything, and people no longer need to necessarily be on-premises to work.

The solution has a useful Academy that I started using in the past year. When we have new employees who are onboarding to the department, we conduct an initial training. However, after that, they can go to the UiPath Academy and acquire even more skills. The biggest benefit is that it allows any employee to learn on their own time. It gives everyone the potential to grow and learn at their own pace.

We have used the AI functionality from UiPath, mostly in Europe. As an accounting company, we handle tons of Excel worksheets and formulas. The AI makes it all very efficient and helps with analytics and processing.

It's sped up our digital transformation. Initially, we did not have automation. We only had automation available through other companies. When we adopted UiPath, we developed an automated process that allowed us to bypass having a human behind the computer.

UiPath helps reduce human error. It's reduced it by a huge amount and was a big reason for us acquiring the product.

The solution has helped free up employee time. Employees now have to do less manual work. You don't have to manually look at every receipt or every piece of data. We assign a UiPath automation to the task. Something that would take a human an hour is done in 15 to 20 minutes.

It does save us money. We used to have two shifts before acquiring UiPath. Now, we've reduced the human workforce for the night shift. 60% of the work we can assign to RPA. Less of a human workforce means less money spent on manual productivity. It's helped us reduce our overall operating costs.

What needs improvement?

The billing plans should be improved. Instead of billing per month, they can offer plans for a year or two.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've used the solution for a year and eight months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable, depending on your infrastructure.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

We contacted support in the initial six to eight months of usage. We used to contact them monthly since not all staff were knowledgeable.

Support was fast enough. Of course, there were sometimes technical errors and it would take two to three hours to get a response.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We did not previously use any automation solution.

How was the initial setup?

While we started on the cloud of the free trial, we moved to the on-premises deployment model.

The deployment was easy. We started with the free trial, and after we saw the results, that informed our decision to continue.

We had 20 to 40 people involved in the deployment.

There is some maintenance required. New employees need to be onboarded and sometimes they mess up and the IT team will have to return the platform to normal.

What about the implementation team?

We didn't go through any other channel during deployment. We had an efficient vendor from UiPath.

What was our ROI?

We have seen an ROI in that we were able to reduce the need for so many workers on night shifts. That aspect has brought down our operating expenses while driving productivity up.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a customer and end user.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

Easy automation building with a great user community and useful AI capabilities

  • October 31, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I've used it to automate different types of processes. My first project was to automate PDF documents. The process was a bit lengthy for the client. The client actually used to enter the information into the PDF templates and get them submitted to the government websites. And once they submitted their documents, the government released grant payments or other stuff. Previously, they hired people to do the data entry. However, it was taking too long, and some crazy errors. They had to have a pretty formatted, clean Excel sheet.

With UiPath, the bot would choose the data, get the data from there, and then put it into PDF files, save them with the sort of renaming schemes, and then upload them to the drive and then to the portal. That's the first use case I got. I built up workflows in it and automated the whole process.

I keep exploring it and now have other use cases coming in as well. There are more than 150 or 200 use cases for different types of projects.

How has it helped my organization?

What is most valuable?

The process management is great.

The orchestrator is helpful. And they have something called live monitoring. If you have an unattended bot set up on someone's system or in a virtual private server, when the bot gets executed, you can actually monitor it in the live stream. You can open up the live stream, keep checking it, and look at the automation, and how the board progresses, and you can take control of the live stream in between as well if you want to.

The ease of building automation is relatively very good. Most of the programmers and developers get hectic while writing scripts. However, they get bored. Now we can just create a sequence of processes. That way, we can train some colleagues, and it's pretty easy.

I've used the solution for a good cause, for a client trying to gather information from the Internet in Switzerland to reduce carbon emissions. They were trying to get a lot of information to raise awareness regarding emissions and businesses. I helped the organization implement a use case.

The product enables us to implement end-to-end automation. There are certain scenarios in cases where integration is required. It is important based on certain scenarios or use cases.

The user community is great. When I was starting out, I really got a lot of help from the forum. The community is very good. The most common questions are already being answered there, and everyone is engaged. The community is pretty strong. You can just post your question in theory and get a reply real quick.

The solution has helped to minimize our on-premises footprint. You can just get it all done on the cloud. They have recent updates coming in in which you don't need to install any tool on your system. You can just develop your workflow on the cloud as well.

It really helps non-technical people. I don't need to go through the hassle of installation. I just go to the cloud and start developing the basic workflow.

The UiPath Academy is good. I didn't have a chance to do a lot of the Academy yet. I have had one or two trainings for the implementation methodologies. That said, mostly I've learned through real-time projects or through my self-learning, plus the content we have on the Internet.

The AI functionality is used in our automation programs. It has documented understanding. It has built-in trained models that help understand the document. You simply go to the document, scan, install the package, and just train your invoices and the data you have with similar invoices. It helps you to identify the invoices and extract information from the structured data.

UiPath has helped speed up digital transformation and significantly reduced the cost of digital transformation.

It's helped reduce human error. Being able to have RPA enter information again and again really helps solve the problem of dealing with random errors.

UiPath frees up employee time for other stuff. It helps optimize time and make everything efficient. Whether it's attended or unattended mode, it really helps employees. We can save a lot of hours. The automation hub that they offer can upload all the stats. It will take a process and tell you how many hours you could save. The cost savings are directly proportional to the time savings.

What needs improvement?

I used to have some workflows that were a bit lengthy, and I just see that some of the time, they crash. It's unstable if the workflow is long. Sometimes you'll run an update, and it will make a workflow crash.

They could make it more user-friendly.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for around four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution does crash sometimes.

In one instance, I was trying to read a file, and the file itself was a bit larger. It's hard to read a large number of files.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is good. I would rate it eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't contacted technical support that often. I only reached out to get more information on a certain case.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use any alternative previously. However, since using UiPath, I've also used Power Automate and Selenium. Selenium is not a direct competitor. However, I have used it a lot. Power Automate doesn't have the robust community or forums that UiPath has. That said, it costs less.

How was the initial setup?

I'm an implementor. I deploy solutions for my clients.

The cloud implementation of UiPath is straightforward. If you are knowledgeable of the process and you're good in tech technology, you can handle it. If you are non-technical, then it could be a bit of a lengthy process to learn first and then go ahead and do it.

The deployment can be handled by a single person, depending on the use case. If it's more complex, you may need a team to deploy.

There is maintenance required. If there's a change to the website, process, platform, or data point then you have to go in and adjust.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing cost is pretty expensive compared to competitors.

The community edition, however, is pretty good for developing automation. You can have one unattended product as well, which you can utilize.

A developer license may be around $420 or $450 a month, which is really expensive.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a reseller.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

I would advise others, if they mean to use the product, to be specific and look at the cost structure. A small business will always need to be mindful of the cost structure. For a smaller business, the community version might be an option.

Overall, the orchestrator, the cloud management, and a lot of their features are great.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Hybrid Cloud

Is easy to automate, reduces human error, and saves us money

  • October 27, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use UiPath to automate simple, everyday processes like email automation.

We have deployed UiPath both on-premises and in the cloud.

How has it helped my organization?

Using UiPath to build automation is easy compared to the other automation solutions I have used.

UiPath enables us to implement end-to-end automation, which is important because it helps us eliminate human errors.

The UiPath User Community is good.

The UiPath Academy courses are helpful, and all of our team members use them. We have learned a lot about UiPath from the courses.

UiPath helped to speed up our digital transformation and reduce the cost of doing so. We did not require any expensive or complex application upgrades or IT application support to speed up our digital transformation.

We have repeatedly tested our processes with humans and with UiPath. We consistently achieve better results with UiPath because it eliminates the possibility of human error in our reports.

UiPath saves our staff time by reducing the manual tasks.

UiPath has saved us money by eliminating the need for a person to perform repetitive daily tasks.

What is most valuable?

The ease of automation using UiPath is valuable.

What needs improvement?

UiPath should add support for more programming languages, such as Python, in addition to VBScript, to help developers with their coding.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath for just over one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath does sometimes go down, but compared to other automation tools I have used, it is more stable.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is good. I received a response within one day the last time I contacted them.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used Automation Anywhere for some projects, but UiPath is far better because of its easy-to-access and informative User Community.

How was the initial setup?

The initial deployment is straightforward. All we have to do is publish and grab the data linked to the orchestrator. One person is required for the deployment.

What about the implementation team?

The implementation was completed in-house.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price is a bit high, but UiPath is worth the cost, given its ease of use and features. We sometimes use Automation Anywhere instead of UiPath to save costs, but UiPath is our preferred choice.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate UiPath nine out of ten.

No real maintenance is required for UiPath.

UiPath is easy to use and automates well. It is also good at identifying errors compared to other solutions.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

Can consume APIs directly from any application, reduce human error, and improve operational efficiency

  • October 26, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use UiPath in various internal departments to automate our HR, financial, and IT operations, including access management and ISO compliance to control traffic.

We have UiPath deployed both on-premises and in the cloud.

How has it helped my organization?

Building automation with UiPath is easy. The solution is user-friendly, and we do not require technical knowledge or skills to use it. With a little training, we can start building automation with UiPath. Customer support is helpful if we get stuck at any step, and the dashboard is user-friendly and centralizes control in one place.

We use UiPath for multiple end-to-end processes.

The UiPath User Community is a good place to learn and get answers to questions we have related to UiPath.

The UiPath User Community edition is flexible and allows us to practice and learn for free before taking what we have learned to our enterprise edition of UiPath.

UiPath has improved our operational process efficiency, allowing us to schedule processes to run 24/7 and freeing our employees from repetitive tasks so they can focus on other work.

UiPath Academy courses are useful for our employees. We also have access to the enterprise learning portal, where materials are available.

UiPath has helped reduce human error. When all the prerequisites are met and the process is fully automated there is a zero percent chance for human error. For the processes that are not fully automated, UiPath was able to reduce human error by 60 to 80 percent.

Before UiPath we had one employee tied to one business process and after implementing UiPath we have one employee tied to multiple domains. Our staff now has time to work on other tasks.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of UiPath is the ability to consume APIs directly from any application.

What needs improvement?

UiPath is expensive, and its cost could be reduced to make it more accessible to small and medium-sized businesses that could benefit from it. The orchestrator and licensing cost should be flexible instead of hard-coded licensing.

UiPath is limited to one application at a time and cannot process two applications simultaneously. This functionality could be improved to support dual browsing, making it more efficient.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath for almost four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have not experienced any crashes of UiPath. We have experienced some slowdowns three times this year, but this could be due to our internal network rather than UiPath.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is good. We can adjust our workflows according to the conditions with no issues.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is extremely helpful. We contact support whenever we need to upgrade our volumes, and by following their guidelines and prerequisites, we can easily complete the upgrade ourselves. Once the support team responds to our call they are quick to resolve our issue.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before UiPath, we performed manual integrations, but the types of processes we could automate were limited. We faced challenges automating any process where humans needed to make decisions or where minor tweaking was required between the target and source applications. UiPath has removed these restrictions.

How was the initial setup?

UiPath is easy to install, and its representatives are flexible in supporting our installation. Upgrading our libraries and maintaining UiPath security protocols is also easy, which makes the overall installation process straightforward.

Two people are enough for the deployment.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented UiPath in-house.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

UiPath is more expensive than other solutions on the market, such as Microsoft Power Automate.

The Flex license is around $11,000. It should cost at least half that price compared to other solutions. We must purchase an orchestrator for each platform, which is mandatory and adds to the cost. UiPath should consider this and offer a more economical license.

What other advice do I have?

I give UiPath eight out of ten. The cost brings down the overall rating.

Maintenance is required when running UiPath on-premises for the server, OS, and DB. On a bi-weekly and quarterly basis. We also have to implement tools for the firewall.

I recommend UiPath for large-scale and multinational organizations because they can afford the licensing costs. Organizations should explore UiPath before embarking on a transformation journey, as transformation requires significantly more cost than automating existing legacy applications. UiPath is flexible and can integrate with all applications.

User-friendly, easy for automation building, and saves employee time

  • October 26, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for automation. It helps with Excel automation, validation, data extraction, et cetera. We use UiPath for a client project we are working on.

How has it helped my organization?

It's helped improve the organization via an increase in ROI. The employees are much more productive and they no longer have to do repetitive, tedious tasks.

What is most valuable?

The product is very user-friendly. It has great drag-and-drop features. My background isn't in computer science, and it was easy for me to get familiar with UiPath and the user interface.

You can do almost anything related to automation. If it's related to email. databases, Excel sheets, et cetera. There's nothing that needs automation that can't be done on UiPath.

It's very easy to build automations. We can easily build end-to-end automation. We had a process, for example, that needed to be triggered once an email was received. The attachments needed to be downloaded and processed and a reply had to be sent back. UiPath could handle each one of those tasks.

The user community is pretty great. You can find an answer to basically any query. You can participate and reply as well.

I've used the Academy courses to learn more about UiPath since I started using the product in May. I started with the foundational course and then did the advanced course and action center and document understanding overview course. It's helping me learn everything fairly extensively.

The solution has helped us speed up digital transformation. They have enabled very fast digital transformation to meet a company's needs.

It helps reduce human error. I've helped deal with processes that would require employees to deal with thousands of forms. Using UiPath can reduce human error quite extensively. If there was a chance of human error at 25% before, it's been reduced to a maximum of 2% to 3%.

The solution helps free up employee time. The employee, in turn, can be more productive and learn new things in the meantime. It's likely freed up more than 30% of employee time so far.

What needs improvement?

I've only used the solution for six months so it is hard to consider improvements. It would help if there was functionality whereby you could upload something like a flow chart and the solution could process steps according to the flow chart.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've used the solution since May of this year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable. From what I have heard from my team, it's almost always stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Our clients are large-scale enterprises.

It is very scalable. You can add or change things as needed and update processes as necessary. We do have quite a sizable process that involves ten to 12 departments and it works well.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is responsive. They were very kind when I dealt with them.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've used other platforms such as Power Automate and Automation Everywhere. UiPath is a lot better as it is very high-level.

How was the initial setup?

I did not directly deal with the initial deployment.

There is not too much maintenance required.

What was our ROI?

Clients have noted an ROI. They've found employees are much more productive.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I haven't seen the pricing or dealt with the licensing of UiPath.

However, I have heard of clients switching to Power Automate due to the fact that it was cheaper than UiPath.

What other advice do I have?

I do not exactly use the AI functionality. It's not part of my job at this point.

I'd recommend automation for digital transformation. As for which platform to use, it would depend on which processes they need to use. UiPath is quite suitable for mid-level to large enterprises.

I would rate the solution nine out of ten. It's an excellent product.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for the implementation of automation for normal processes. We deliver use cases to customers.

How has it helped my organization?

The ability to automate everything is great. You can also do process mining and optimize costs. It can help save a lot of money in an organization.

Depending on the business, and how you calculate the cost vs savings, the time to value varies.

What is most valuable?

It's a complete ecosystem. It has everything you need. You can do attended or unattended bots. There's AI. There are document processes that you can do as well.

It's very easy to create any type of automation. It's the best solution so far in the market.

We are able to implement end-to-end automation. It's important that you can automate anything with UiPath. You are not limited. You don't have to have any extra connectors.

It has helped minimize our on-premises footprint. You can migrate to the cloud if you like. However, many companies, like banks, do not prefer the cloud. They prefer on-premises setups.

I've used the Academy courses. I've started one and haven't finished it. My plan in the future is to utilize it more. The structure and details are great. If you are new to UiPath, it's very good. It helps effectively onboard new people.

It helps reduce human error.

We can free up employee time by 90%.

If you are saving time, you are saving money, and therefore, it has helped save costs.

What needs improvement?

Everything is working well. Of course, there can always be improvements.

I would like to see them integrate with generative AI like ChatGPT. It might make a developer's life easier.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using UiPath since 2019. However, I have not been continuously working on it.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution has been very stable. I'd rate stability nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is very easy to scale.

How are customer service and support?

I've never been in contact with technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used a different solution.

How was the initial setup?

The implementation is very easy. The deployment is similar to other products. You create a file and share it with a customer and they import it.

Through our methodologies, we define, design, deploy, and maintain.

Pre-deployment, we need to do some testing. After that, once it's accepted, you deploy. You don't need much staff.

There is some maintenance required for future changes in the application and any issues that may arise (like bugs). Typically, there's a business analyst and people from IT as well as someone from whatever department it's being deployed to.

What about the implementation team?

The customer deploys the solution. We take care of the design and implementation.

What was our ROI?

I have noticed an ROI while using the solution. In general, a business analyst would do the calculations to see how much money would be saved if a robot was deployed.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I do not deal with the licensing.

What other advice do I have?

We are UiPath partners.

I'm not certified in UiPath, although I do have experience with it.

I have not used the AI functionality yet.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. It's easy to work with UiPath. It has very good documentation.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises
