GoAnywhere, the perfect solution for file delivery
What do you like best about the product?
GoAnywhere is a powerful, "super-suite" of file delivery and data manipulation processes. For us it is the ease of using their powerful SFTP solution with their fantastic key management system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not really dislike anything here, but perhaps if I had to mention something it would be the wish for a better "built-in" database option than Derby. This is insignificant really though since you can change it to anything else you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure and reliable data delivery to our customers. Manipulation of raw data into it's file deliverable format. With the ability of GoAnywhere to monitor for file changes, we have easily begun to completely automate file transfers to customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider your needs, SFTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS or any combination. GoAnywhere does it better than the rest.

GoAnywhere MFT is the best tool for our Enterprise file transfer needs
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of GoAnywhere MFT is our favorite feature, it can be configured to automate so many of the tasks we used to perform manually or with clunky Linux scripts. With GoAnywhere MFT we have full logging and auditing capabilities, and the advanced reporting tools are excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve to becoming proficient with GoAnywhere MFT but the staff at HelpSystems offers customized training and that really helped us to help kickstart our team and ramp our skills up quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major benefits we have realized is consistency and stability in our file transfer infrastructure. Our Enterprise currently moves over a million files a week and the stability and efficiency of GoAnywhere MFT has really helped us become more productive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the plunge and try the tool. Our auditors have been thrilled with the features, functions, and security built into GoAnywhere MFT.

What do you like best about the product?
GoAnywhere MFT has been a godsend for our team - the ability to not only have an extremely easy and secure server to configure for HTTPS and SFTP sharing, but also the ability to have Workflows to perform routine tasks and procedures for us that before were strictly manual. Setup time was incredibly simple and easy, and the system has been incredibly intuitive to use daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could use a little more polish - really struggling to come up with things I dislike about the system - there is a slight learning curve when it comes to how roles and permissions can be set up, but the onboarding training that GoAnywhere Support team utilizes with first-time customers ensures you have all the basics to set up the system how you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we had seperate servers that were our HTTPS server, a FTP server, and of course we didn't have any automation to our workflows with files. With GoAnywhere, we're now able to set monitors that check vendor FTP servers for updates, and when new updates are found, to automatically download, unzip, and perform all sorts of functions before putting the finished files on our own production file servers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with the support team and ensure that all of your needs are met - there are a lot of additional features and customization the support team can do to make the product work exactly to your specifications.

The Automation of processes that we need for sftp, signing, and encrypting files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much training on the interface. Once it is setup, you really forget what was done to get it setup in the first place.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy & low-cost web-based tool. We expanded the use to include document imaging which solved another deficiency in our agency without an additional expense for expensive document & imaging solutions.

Need to add virus scan as part of toolset
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure file transfers to and from trading partners while exercising the data in many different formats. It hides all the ugliness and tedious coding we would have had to do otherwise. GoAnyWhere is built for any novice to experienced developer to become productive right away.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Super easy to use at a very low cost. Plus being web-based makes this easy to access from any workstation.

we dont have found any cons at this moment, and we Use many MFT Modules daily, we hope that the further development and provision of new modules will not have to be unlocked by additional licenses. Unfortunately, there are only a few companies in Germany that can provide maintenance and support

Easy to use and maintain, Great tool for FTP within the network or outside the firewall. Very versatile. Works on multiple platforms.

Upgrade to the latest version and be educated in all it can do.
Stable, scale-able, flexible and easy to use and manage.
What do you like best about the product?
The stability and ease of use and setup have been lifesavers for us. We have been able to hand off almost all of our MFT tasks to our operations group, rather than taking programming resources for those functions. We also have seen a drastic improvement in the number of transmission errors or dropped connections. We have a third-party monitoring company that is constantly hitting our GoAnywhere site (24x7) with all of the different file transfer protocols. The weekly report that we get from this company is rarely anything but 100% successful with GoAnywhere. Our previous MFT product was consistently in the 90-95% range. Support has been excellent. Upgrades have been seamless, non-events. The price was significantly lower than almost all of the other MFT products we looked at. We couldn't be happier with this product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am honestly scratching my head to come up with what I like least about GoAnywhere. The only thing I can think of is that it might be nice to have some more advanced pre-defined sample scripts included in the installation. There were some good basic samples, but something more complicated might have helped us in the early going.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The stability of GoAnywhere MFT has helped restore our clients' and trading partners' confidence in us. What used to be a constant source of irritation for them is now virtually a non-issue, non-event. The stability of the product has also freed up resources that used to spend hours per day verifying that transfers went or digging through logs trying to find out why something didn't work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend GoAnywhere MFT without reservation or hesitation. We have been happy with it from day one.
