My Audit Ally Against Time zone challenges

  • July 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how it automates repetitive tasks like sending reports to the onshores or uploading bulk data to our cloud storage. Its been an ally really. Also the auditing and reporting tools have been invaluable for compliance checks especially since we handle HIPAA regulated data. Its these little things that have made my work easier and less stressful. The dashboard is easy to use for monitoring and the detailed audit logs help with compliance audits. I have integrated it with Outlook and SQL and they run perfectly. It allows users to schedule file transfers at specific times adjustable to different time zones.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I like the least would be that it does not allow proper tableau integration which is a major downside for data analysts specifically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a data analyst at a multinational auditing firm. I am constantly dealing with clients across the globe which makes managing time zone gaps a hassle. But Goanywhere Mft has been a lifesaver automating and scheduling secure data transfers to match everyone's crazy schedule. Which honestly saves me a bunch of time throughout the day. I love that i can set it to pull US audit logs at 2 am or send reports to Ireland at 9 it gets the job done. Overall this has been cut out so much grunt work and stress.

Secure Transfers Made Easy, Needs UI Improvement

  • July 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for approximately one year, primarily to manage secure file transfers across our organization and with external partners. I appreciate its automation capabilities for file workflows and encryption of sensitive data, which ensure compliance with data protection regulations. The robust security features and automation capabilities were key factors in selecting GoAnywhere MFT over other options, as they replaced our previous manual processes and some disconnected tools effectively. The implementation process was straightforward and enabled us to quickly centralize our file transfer workflows. I find the ease of integration with existing systems, comprehensive security features, user and role management, and centralized management view to be extremely beneficial. Additionally, the ability to monitor different transfers from a single interface provides enhanced visibility and control across the organization. These features have significantly improved our efficiency and security.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user interface for configuring advanced automation tasks to be somewhat challenging. Although the platform is powerful, the more complex workflows and scripting features can become a bit technical and overwhelming for new users. I believe improving these aspects would simplify the learning curve for customers who are beginning to use the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to automate and secure data transfer, reducing human error and ensuring compliance. It centralizes workflows and encrypts sensitive data, greatly improving efficiency and security across my organization.

Threat protection and encryption ensure safe file transfers and connector integration simplifies processes but customer support response could improve

  • July 09, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use GoAnywhere MFT for file transfers and loading other files on our FTP.

What is most valuable?

What I appreciate most about GoAnywhere MFT is the threat protection feature, whereby before transferring files anywhere, I am able to first make the file analysis and confirm there are no threats or malware in the files. Before allowing files to be transferred elsewhere, the threat protection helps us prevent data loss because it has highly graded encryption which helps keep our data safe.

I also appreciate the cloud connectors. GoAnywhere MFT is able to connect with different applications. For example, it can connect with Microsoft SharePoint and Dropbox.

What needs improvement?

The implementation process needs improvement. When I wanted to implement GoAnywhere MFT and requested trials, I had to wait for a period of a day without reply, until I requested the demo. They should improve their customer support service so when someone wants to register or purchase this product, they should be faster.

They should make sure that the start trial part is accessible to everyone when someone wants to get that trial. If they want people to first communicate with customer support, they need to ensure their support team is available 24 hours.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for one year.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

Deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was very challenging because the trial request process and response time caused delays. If they had replied in time, the deployment would not have been delayed.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT has never crashed, but sometimes it becomes slow.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of GoAnywhere MFT is fine.

How are customer service and support?

The support for GoAnywhere MFT becomes excellent when you become a customer. The support is impressive and they handle issues in a timely manner. However, when requesting to become a customer, that is where support issues arise. When you are an established customer, their support is good.

On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give GoAnywhere MFT support seven.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before using GoAnywhere MFT, we were using Google Drive. We were using Google Workspace which has a sub-feature called Fogo (F-O-L-G).

How was the initial setup?

We took a period of two weeks to fully deploy GoAnywhere MFT. We had to first gain access, then request a demo. After the demo, we had to negotiate pricing. From the pricing, we took the final steps.

What about the implementation team?

One person can deploy GoAnywhere MFT.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing of GoAnywhere MFT is friendly. It is friendly because payment is based on the number of users and the number of licenses purchased.

What other advice do I have?

I started seeing the benefits of GoAnywhere MFT one week after implementation.

The user interface of GoAnywhere MFT is free and friendly, as everything on the user interface can be managed without assistance.

I rate GoAnywhere MFT eight out of ten overall.

Secure Managed File Transfer Platform

  • July 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the extensive protocol support, including HTTPS, SFTP, and FTPS, which covers most secure file transfer requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.

The workflow automation capabilities are notable: triggers, scheduling, and reusable project templates streamline repetitive transfer tasks and reduce manual intervention.

Centralized administration, detailed audit logging, and compliance-ready encryption features make it suitable for organizations with strict regulatory requirements like HIPAA, PCI DSS, and GDPR.

The interface is intuitive, with drag-and-drop project design and a customizable dashboard that provides at-a-glance operational insights. Integration options are comprehensive, supporting connections to various databases, REST/SOAP web services, and third-party platforms, which simplifies complex data workflows.

The system’s modularity allows for easy migration between embedded and enterprise databases, and the centralized management of resources and scripts is efficient for larger IT environments. Support for ad-hoc transfers and granular user controls further enhance operational flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
While GoAnywhere MFT is generally easy to use, the documentation and help resources could be more comprehensive, especially for onboarding new users or for those looking to maximize advanced features.

I find that some options in the UI remain enabled even when not relevant to the current task, which can lead to confusion without careful attention to the notes and help sections
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform has replaced a patchwork of custom scripts, batch jobs, and disparate FTP tools with a single, secure, and auditable system.

This centralization has improved reliability, reduced transmission errors, and simplified maintenance, especially when dealing with key rotations, vendor changes, or compliance audits

File transfer across multiple cities becomes seamless with secure sharing options

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We generally use GoAnywhere MFT to transfer all the files that we have. We are a group of 11 entities put together, so there are multiple servers that we use and multiple locations. The company is spread across 11 cities, so the transferring of files is becoming easier when we are using the MFT software.

What is most valuable?

One of the features of GoAnywhere MFT that I prefer the most is the sharing option. There are files that can be shared across the entire team members, and there are files which can be shared only with specific team members. The password protected files can be given only to a specific team member of my choice, and there are files which can be universally opened by all the team members. That is one feature which I appreciate.

Another valuable feature is the scalability of the product, which is very good. We initially started with a small amount of data, and now we have grown into it, and the large volume of data that we are transferring is very easy for us.

Since our entire company consists of around 11 entities put together, the usage case has been increasing day by day. The scalability of GoAnywhere MFT is a very good platform to scale rapidly as well.

What needs improvement?

The customer support and feedback system of GoAnywhere MFT could be improved. The customer support is a bit slow from their end. The time lag they take to respond to our queries is more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using GoAnywhere MFT for one and a half months now.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

I currently do not face any downtime from GoAnywhere MFT or feel there is anything which they can do better. From my end, I will not be able to give any criticism about any of the services that they provide.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

During the time we have used GoAnywhere MFT, I have not faced any downtime or any lags regarding the transfer of files or any of the services that we have used.

How are customer service and support?

The experience with GoAnywhere MFT support could have been better and quicker from their end. Apart from that, I did not face any other issues, but the time lag they took to respond to our queries was more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

How was the initial setup?

The initial deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was very quick and simple. It was an easy process, not complex at all, so it was easy to understand and a very quick process.

What about the implementation team?

We are a small team of around three people who were required to implement it.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have not used any alternatives to GoAnywhere MFT; this is the first that we have used. We had an in-built solution that we were using until now, and we have just taken this option.

What other advice do I have?

The pricing of GoAnywhere MFT was a management decision that was taken. I was not involved in the pricing part of it.

The module of GoAnywhere MFT that was given to us was very simple and easy to learn. There was nothing complex about it, and the module was very self-explanatory for us, so we did not face any difficulty with the usage of the modules.

It took around five to seven working days to fully install GoAnywhere MFT.

For any new users who are opting to file their data, GoAnywhere MFT is a very good solution to try. It gives us excellent safety, and the data are encrypted. For any new users who are just looking into the market, this will be a very good product for them. The size of the data that can be shared is also very good; we can share a huge amount of data very easily, and the transferring of the data is very easy.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate GoAnywhere MFT a nine.

Scheduler feature delivers daily data securely and support excels with timely assistance

  • June 30, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use GoAnywhere MFT to securely transfer our files and encrypt files and other data points that we have. We transfer it across cloud storage platforms, which is our main use case with this software.

We also build workflows which can be easily configured. There is a scheduler feature inside the GoAnywhere MFT platform which automatically helps us run these workflows and basically helps us get our reports securely on time through cloud.

What is most valuable?

The scheduler feature in GoAnywhere MFT is something that I appreciate very much because we primarily deal with large data sets.

Our file transfer that we do is quite large and we require a daily check-in and monitoring data that comes to our email. The scheduler automatically encrypts the data and sends it to the corresponding email IDs or the corresponding cloud platforms automatically without any manual intervention.

This saves a lot of time for us and ensures we get our data on time.

What needs improvement?

Feature-wise, I don't think there's any negative aspect about GoAnywhere MFT; it's very much packed, very good and ready to go.

One area where they can improve is that many training documents are missing. Initially, when I started using the software, I found it a little hard to navigate and understand. More help documents and knowledge-based documents could have been much more useful. That could be developed, but apart from that, feature-wise, everything is great.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using it for about a year to 14 months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have not seen any instability with GoAnywhere MFT; in fact, it's very good.

There's no lagging or ping issues. The data we usually transfer consists of large files, and it's quite smooth and clean. There's no lag.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Being a cloud solution, GoAnywhere MFT is very much scalable.

Currently, we have three locations where we use this, and we might expand it to five or six locations. Because it's a cloud platform and a stable platform, it is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

The support team for GoAnywhere MFT is very knowledgeable. Any query that I have, they are very patient with me and they try to give me the reason behind the issue and then solve it.

They're pretty quick and responsive. It's not a situation where you raise a ticket and wait for 48 hours to get a response; it's immediate. Their knowledge level is something that I appreciate with the team.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used any alternatives to GoAnywhere MFT personally.

How was the initial setup?

Learning how to fully use GoAnywhere MFT took time for me personally; it took around four to six weeks to understand and learn the entire process and product.

That was time-consuming. Ideally, it should have been completed in a week or two at maximum. With products such as this, time is an important crucial factor. That was the only issue.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend contacting the GoAnywhere MFT support team earlier to understand the platform more quickly. I spent six weeks learning the system, but if I had reached the support team earlier, I might have understood it in two or three weeks.

I would recommend everyone to use this kind of managed file transfer software, if not GoAnywhere MFT, then something else, so that data remains safe and encrypted, especially considering the prevalence of data theft.

I would encourage them to use GoAnywhere MFT.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution an 8.5.

GoAnywhere MFT is a lifesaver, automating all our secure file transfers without a hitch.

  • June 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Those strong automation features of GoAnywhere MFT are quite attractive to me. It is easy to create complex workflow of arranging files to be regularly sent to our vendors and banks. Its integrative dashboard enables it to control all these connections with utmost ease. The extent to which we log is also amazing as far as our compliance is concerned. It aids us to effortlessly demonstrate that all files being sent or received were secure. This mixture is just a time and concern-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up of truly sophisticated workflows in GoAnywhere MFT is somewhat cumbersome to start with. It certainly takes a certain amount of study time in order to learn all of its details. The system of licensing may also be a rather expensive investment particularly to small companies. The user interface is a bit outdated at times compared to the other tools. It is not a make or break, but a point of note.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to GoAnywhere MFT we had a disaster of manual processes and insecure practices to transfer files. We were dependent on risky FTP clients and sending confidential documents through email, and it was a massive risk to non-compliance. People were always afraid of transfer loss or breach of data. But today we have 100 percent automation of all our B2B file transfers, that are completely secure due to GoAnywhere MFT. There is full auditability and central control of everything. This implies that we do not get into trouble with fines and sleep well knowing that our data is always safe and delivered.

Improved data transfer efficiency with some logging and reconnection improvements needed

  • June 20, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Our use case involves using it for data transfer and the files that we are moving in and out for the external vendors that we have for the US-based clients such as Vanguard, IVR, and other things that we have.

We use the GoAnywhere MFT agent, which helps extend MFT automation to remote systems. External vendors that have automation on their side can keep their files in the agents we install, making transfers simple and hassle-free.

We used Secure Forms for one project, specifically for UPS file transfers where we created forms and had the integration done for the external vendor for SFTP.

What is most valuable?

The best features of GoAnywhere MFT include the data transfer they provided for the Cloud Connectors regarding the SharePoint connector, where previously it would be a single file transfer, but now it includes multi-file transfers in a single operation. With the integration that they developed with the Cloud Connector configuration version introduced in May this year, I was satisfied with the integrations we developed, and that was a good feature I could see.

Aside from the connectors and integration, we had the agents installed for external vendors, which allows for long-range data transfers and the accommodation of large files for single transfer. This setup is hassle-free and ensures data safety. It also includes some security features such as encryption and decryption, improving security features in this tool.

This solution has improved my organization significantly. Previously, the integration we had was with SOAP-based connectors and other integration tools that were hard to develop in a couple of months. With the introduction of the tool, the vendors that came in were satisfied with the solutions provided, and file transfers were easy, creating a robust solution. Any simple changes from their side take less time and cost, making it a genuine tool for our clients in our US company.

Using Secure Forms has positively affected our operations. Previously, we had single SFTP transfers, but introducing Secure Forms allowed us to handle many files in a single operation. When end users fill out and submit requests via web clients, it creates a hassle-free and easy way for us to work.

What needs improvement?

Regarding areas for improvement, the logging part needs enhancement. Currently, the logging we have includes custom backend Java default coding for error codes. Improving this to provide more precise insights on how connections close would significantly enhance error management in GoAnywhere MFT.

Aside from logging, the timeouts we experience on SSH connectors could be improved. During long-range file transfers, such as 1000 files, the connections tend to break. Providing precise reconnection attempts in the connector would help projects work more efficiently.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution in my company for almost 3 1/2 years, utilizing it for MFT, file transfers, and other integrations that we are dealing with.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

The deployment process was minimal work from the DevOps side. If we establish different environments for our working area on this platform, it is manageable. Having a single platform for all environments would complicate things.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of the solution at around six.

The minimal bugs we've experienced are manageable, but there have been downtimes we dealt with, especially at the beginning of deployment. Now that downtime has significantly reduced.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

In terms of scalability, I would rate it around five, as it needs further scaling. The interface built should be more stable, as performance varies across different browsers and deployed versions.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

When comparing GoAnywhere MFT with other file management software, I have worked with integration tools such as Mulesoft, Logic Apps, and Thru. Thru is a big competitor of GoAnywhere MFT, but I find it easier to get templates developed with GoAnywhere MFT, and the installation and support from the backend are better compared to other tools. GoAnywhere MFT is a single combined platform for everything.

How was the initial setup?

The solution took more or less 4 months to deploy because we already had inbuilt templates, making subsequent deployment much easier.

Currently, we have around 50,000 web users onboarded. The production users benefit from hassle-free access and security measures such as a 90-day password change or single SSH key usage.

What was our ROI?

The return on investment seen since using GoAnywhere MFT is significant. After onboarding, the number of vendors increased considerably compared to the previous setup, reflecting the brilliant turnaround we've achieved.

Percentage-wise, the ROI is around 15%.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

In terms of pricing, I find it fairly priced.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I can recommend GoAnywhere MFT to more users, as this tool proves precise compared to other integrations we've seen. However, there are other tools such as Thru, which do offer more robustness. Nevertheless, in terms of stability, GoAnywhere MFT is a solid option.

What other advice do I have?

We have done the Cloud Connectors integration, and I worked with the HTTP online tool connector as well. However, I didn't get the chance to work on Salesforce and Dynamics, but I would be interested in exploring those, as they are also good options.

Apart from GoFast, we used the inbuilt connectors only, so I didn't get a chance to work on GoFast.

GoAnywhere MFT saves me time when connecting securely with third parties needed for collaboration. For larger projects, typically around six months, it reduces that time to about three months. Smaller integrations can be completed in more than enough time, often in about 15 days.

Maintenance is good in terms of patching, as GoAnywhere MFT releases patches for each connector and respective gateways they provide. Patching occurs phase-wise, roughly every 3 to 6 months, with a yearly review for thorough maintenance.

I would be interested in being a reference for the vendor. The vendor can contact me if they have any questions or comments about my review.

I rate GoAnywhere MFT an eight out of ten.

Enables secure and efficient file transfers with customizable automations

  • June 18, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My use case with GoAnywhere MFT differs from organization to organization. In my previous organization, the purpose of using GoAnywhere MFT was multiple—specifically, they were using it for automating user file transfers, which includes securely storing files that had to be protected. The system provides a folder in encrypted format, and the files at rest would also be encrypted, meaning only the authorized personnel can access and download them. In addition to this, there was a secure mail feature in GoAnywhere MFT that allowed transferring files of any size through email.

However, in my current organization, they primarily use it just for file transfers without storing the files.

What is most valuable?

The biggest improvement I've seen since using GoAnywhere MFT for three to four years is in security; control over our network security is the biggest factor to consider, and the solution automatically identifies and blocks attempts to attack our system. Additionally, the transfer speed is impressive; even if files are in GBs, it doesn't take much time to transfer, increasing our organization's efficiency significantly.

In my opinion, the best feature of GoAnywhere MFT is its user-friendly UI; it's very simple to use compared to other managed file transfer tools such as MOVEit and Axway, which are a bit more complicated.

While we don't use any connectors for services such as Salesforce, SharePoint Online, or MS365, GoAnywhere MFT does have the capability of connecting to these systems either through SFTP, HTTPS protocols, or API-based connections. The way it works here is different; we set up a resource-based connection to connect to various services such as SAP or Salesforce.

The range of connectors that GoAnywhere MFT provides out of the box is quite extensive; it covers everything from legacy tools that support AS2 connections to the latest services such as AWS and Azure Blobs.

I'm very satisfied with the connectivity options available in GoAnywhere MFT; they include everything you can think of, and as long as the system you want to connect to accepts connections, we can connect using AS2, AS4, and other cloud connectors.

In relation to the agents, they are crucial for extending MFT automation to remote systems. I've noticed that in my previous organization, agents were not used as we connected via network shares, which led to occasional connectivity issues. Now, using agents increases the file transfer speed by about 20 to 30%, and they provide a more stable connection compared to legacy network shares.

What needs improvement?

One area where GoAnywhere MFT has room for improvement is in how the application reports issues; when the application runs on a server and encounters problems, it doesn't provide detailed information on the server issues, which could help users troubleshoot better. Additionally, I've had experiences where support teams focused on upgrading to the latest version instead of addressing existing issues, which is concerning.

These server issues are the main concern; otherwise, the tool is smooth and easy to use.

For how long have I used the solution?

I started using GoAnywhere MFT in March 2021, and now it's July, so I have been using it for four years and three to four months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

From one to ten, I would rate the stability of GoAnywhere MFT an 8.5 to nine.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

As for scalability, I would say it has some issues, and I would rate it a 7.5 to eight, as sometimes it can be unpredictable.

How are customer service and support?

For technical support, I would rate it a 7.5.

If I had to give a solid number for support, it would be a 7.5.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to using GoAnywhere MFT, I had experience with MOVEit and Axway. Compared to MOVEit, I feel that GoAnywhere MFT has more features and a better UI, although Axway does provide more API-based solutions.

How was the initial setup?

The setup of GoAnywhere MFT is not complex, but I wouldn't categorize it as easy either. I would rate it as medium in terms of complexity.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a good return on investment with GoAnywhere MFT. Although I'm not exactly sure about the percentage, I would say the value we get corresponds well to what we invest.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Regarding pricing, I would categorize GoAnywhere MFT as an expensive solution; it's definitely not cheap.

What other advice do I have?

The machines are provided by Dell, but we manage the infrastructure ourselves; it's not related to any specific cloud provider such as Amazon, Azure, or GCP.

Approximately 1,200 to 1,300 users utilize GoAnywhere MFT in my organization. My organization is considered an enterprise business.

Regarding deployment time, it depends on how big the implementation is; at a minimum, it would take about 20 to 30 days to set up from scratch.

The solution does require some maintenance; this includes maintaining accumulated files that are no longer useful, which can involve manual intervention.

GoAnywhere MFT has saved me time in connecting securely with third parties that I need to collaborate with. I would estimate that it has saved me approximately 70 to 80% of the time.

We have multiple automations or processes running on different platforms, servers, or APIs. We typically have one server, and GoAnywhere MFT handles all of our file transfers and API usage; aside from that, we use another tool called PagerDuty for alert management.

On a scale of one to ten, I rate GoAnywhere MFT a 9.5.
