Nastel goes out of its way to provide solutions tailored to meet each customer's unique requirements while maintaining its commitment to supporting its entire customer base, sometimes this results in features provided for one client's unique requirements taking a back seat to broader-based functionality being delivered to support the larger user base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nastel has provided a solution that allows large enterprises to provide global management support of multiple messaging / middleware platforms from a singe interface.

Nastel is best of breed software, their products are highly configurable for a variety of use cases, and provide flexible solutions to customers in every industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
When bugs are found, or enhancements are needed, Nastel is always helpful in troubleshooting and responsive in delivery.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Nastel AutoPilot for middleware monitoring with a variety of customers over the years. I have implemented Nastel Navigator for Configuration Management and Administration of IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, IIB, and Kafka messaging products. I have used Nastel XRay to provide a variety of Analytics and Transaction Tracking solutions for various cutomers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Define your requirements clearly, and implement the Nastel products using an agile systems development methodology
Nastel is a great partner and I have been fortunate to use their products and services since the 90s

Great products, services and true partnership. My TAM has been someone I can rely on to keep my systems running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any dislikes as I have always enjoyed a positive experience with the entire Nastel organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The AutoPilot M6 and Navigator products solve the monitoring and management problems by providing a single pane of glass to our environments. I can see the health of my systems at a glance, make changes if needed and it allows me to be proactive in taking care of things before they become issues.

Excellent products and services with true partnership in mind.
Nastel Navigator initial experience
What do you like best about the product?
The Navigator tool is extremely powerful and provides great granularity of control for users. For admins it makes it very easy to manage these. I have not found any other tools which provide this level of access control.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be better if the separate components could be made more like a "black box" as sometimes it feels like one needs knowledge of the specific components to debug and use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Navigator gives our users visibility to the systems that they lacked previously. Instead of having to contact the support teams they now have the ability to check for themselves the status of their apps. This means faster self-diagnosis for them and also frees up the support teams for other tasks.

Nastel as a company has a long pedigree and I have always found them to be responsive and helpful.

Many bugs took long time to be fixed in the past.
We were not able to use Navigator for Chrome from more than a year.
We cannot delegate alert development into the final client beacause of its complexity.

Event monitoring is great, however, being able to store just 1000 events is many times to low.

What do you like best about the product?
Complete solution for your middleware monitoring. for MQ they are the best.

Their presence in the market and branding is not sufficient

Middleware issues, queue monitoring, root cause isolation.

What do you like best about the product?
The support team and TAM are quick to respond. Nastel also seeks customer input when looking to implement new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to really to dislike as they are attentive to the customers needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a better and more scalable/supportable tool for threshold monitoring on queues. Starting to get metrics over time for troubleshooting and capacity planning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While we currently only use it for monitoring the MQ environment, it is the best tool we have found. Recent updates have enhanced the product (AutoPilot).

Good monitoring software for Apache Kafka and MQ. Easy to use and used for Message Management & Testing. It control all the messages across MQ Nodes, queues and topics from a central point.
