This is the best piece of software I own. Period. If you work with video, this is what you need.
What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive, powerful, and flexible. I haven't found anything that I want to do and can't. Many of the things I have done with other editors are far simpler in Davinci Resolve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little--these are nitpicks. There is a minor learning curve and some high-intensity operations are slow (ish) on my computer. However, I have not found software with similar functionality that improves on either of these points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to edit video much faster and makes previously difficult and complex tasks easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I dislike, but I wish they would buy Affinity so they could compete with Adobe on the designing part

The ultimate video manipulation software
What do you like best about the product?
The integrated console of DaVinci Resolve, editing, colouring, fusion and encoding.
What do you dislike about the product?
the learning curve of the fusion tab in the Davinci resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Post-production works.

Best Pro Video Editing Software
What do you like best about the product?
The software has all important pro tools that a person needs to make a great video. The interface is beautiful, and it's close to other similar softwares which makes it easy to get used to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video player is not perfect, sometimes freezes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's better than premiere pro and much easier to use.
Fully featured video editing software
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about DaVinci Resolve is that it can do absolutely everything you'll need. It is professional video editing software with all the bells and whistles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem I see with DaVinci Resolve is its complexity. Be prepared to follow tutorials or read guides to get a full understanding if you want to use the more complex features. You also need a computer with very good specs to run it properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to make video promos and also edit recorded video meetings and DaVinci Resolve produces a professionally finished final video.
You should RESOLVE to use DAVINCI RESOLVE
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the ability to integrate seamlessly with Avid Media composer is an excellent feature. Moreover, the online tutorials available cover a wide variety of in-software topics that can turn even the most novice user into an expert seemingly overnight
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn't much I don't like about DaVinci Resolve. That being said, it would probably benefit them to update it a bit more frequently so as to avoid minor bugs that crop in from time to time while I am working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have done colorwork for several freelance projects using the ability to simply copy and paste LUTS from my previous work. This means that I waste very little time in the actual coloring process which means that my clients are happy with my fast turn-around time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a professional videographer or if you're in the business of making films; you should definitely be using DaVinci Resolve.
The Best Free Software for Video Editing- DaVinci Resolve 17
What do you like best about the product?
It is one of the most comprehensive video editing and has a ton of features and many tools are as good as Adobe Premiere Pro if not better. It is very stable and optimized for both os Windows and MacOs.
Its UI is very easy to use and provides professional standard in non-linear editing and specially Color Grading and Audio Editing and Visual Effects. It gets better and better with every update. It is available for free and there is no watermark, no trial and no questions asked. It is very good for beginners who would like to become filmmakers, editors or/and colorists.

What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks behind the Premiere Pro in the Audio Editing Department. Its layer based editing tools don't provide much detailed control over the audio. Also, the learning curve for DaVince Resolve is quite time taking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DaVinci Resolve's latest release Davinci Resolve 17 is my go-to application for Video Editing, Color Correction, Visual Effects, Motion Graphics and Audio Post Production for Government Clients as well as Private Clients for full fledged Video Editing work. Also, I prefer Davinci Resolve for Color Correction and Color Grading to provides Video a cinematic look.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take Tutorials from YouTube. You can consider Channnels like "Dunna Did it" and "Color Grading Central" Channels.
A bit complex initially, Later its a most useful software you will know
What do you like best about the product?
One thing I like the most about Resolve is, it's sort of all in one software.
I can do proxies, sorting rushes, editing, colour grading, music and even output and all these just within one software.
Also it's not too heavy on systems unlike premiere pro , doesn't use much resources and uses whatever available very efficiently

What do you dislike about the product?
I wanted to have the option of sourcing output on secondary monitor in full screen which at the moment is not possible in free version. It plainly expands the window over 2nd monitor.
Software is a bit more complicated to understand, and would need months to understand each and everything in detail.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use DaVinci resolve purely for colour grading.
Its has industry standard tools and have much more minute control of colours.
Exporting the project in dnxhd or prores is possible and is very fast at it.

Be prepared to I vest some good amount of time in understanding this software and this will help you for life + value addition on your skills
One of the best video editing software ever I used.
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly I like the fact that DaVinci Resolve is optimized for M1 Mac! This is very versatile. I used it on my workstation (Mac) and my personal pc(windows based). I also love that you can edit differently. I'm talking to the nodes; yes, it is very peculiar, and it takes time for you to get used to it, but it is an excellent feature. I also love the fact that it is much easier to color grade using this editor compare to others, while you can use those present in the LUTS part, which are very good, knowing it is already included in the software. And the best thing about this is, It is Completely FREE! yes, there is a paid version where you can use more professional tools but the free is very good to go if you are just going for a simple edit. Adding subtitles in this editor is so much easier compare to the one I used before.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I don't see any feature that I don't like with DaVinci Resolve. It is an excellent video editing software, and I love using it. It is " Go to" video editing software nowadays. I hope they will keep on optimizing the software more to improve it's speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Final Cut Pro X is way too simple for me, and I have a hard time following its process (There are some features that I needed, but they are too hard to find, and I cannot afford to waste any time). DaVinci Resolve offered a more versatile and much UI Friendly interface for me to edit my videos. Also, some shortcut commands that I used in Final Cut Pro X and Premiere pro is applicable in DaVinci Resolve. Also I'm looking for other optimized video editors for mac and I found DaVinci Resolve! I love DaVinci Resolve so far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a Video editor for MAC, especially if you are using the M1 Chip, you might want to try out DaVinci resolve. It is very fast and it has a very Unique video editing (nodes) and i love the UI it is much easier for me to follow and the rendering speed is superb!
Flood's Davinci review
What do you like best about the product?
Davinci Resolve has capabilities I haven't gotten around to using yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use Davinci on my 27" The labels and most all of the editing tools are too small. And I can't seem to change the font size. I'd love to see a slightly less cluttered screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started in the film business as an editor. I edit like a director, to a fine cut without effects. I get slowed down sometimes when i mis-hit an icon and i can't fix it.
