What do you like best about the product?
The workflow is genius. Together with the great set of tools for color management and color grading it makes it just a perfect workhorse. For my particular stock workflow, the possibility to render a whole timeline as separated clips is game-changer.
Even when DaVinci contains many things I don't using, the great modular design make it invisible: sectioned workflow allows to use only important things without owerwhelming with unused options.

What do you dislike about the product?
I see no weakness in this great app. Some technical flaws fixing fast and effective.

The interface is pretty unique. It is NOT complicated, but you will have to learn it from scratches.

Free software that’s better than the rest!
What do you like best about the product?
That’s a free program with so many features that it’s a real competitor with the other manufacturers of Video editing software

Como ha sido desarrollado inicialmente para efectuar el tratamiento de colores, el software presenta muchas opciones avanzadas para este propósito, además de tratamiento de audio y todas las funcionalidades de programas para editar vídeos;A pesar de ser una herramienta pagada, es posible optar por una versión más simple, aún así muy buena y gratuita; DaVinci Resolve es un programa que funciona tanto en PC como en Mac;

Impressive Features For Free. A Comprehensive Post Production Package
What do you like best about the product?
DaVinci Resolve is the most comprehensive video post-production app available. I love how it integrates a terrific editor, compositing and effects package, and audio editor along with its industry-leading color correction tool. I've worked with a lot of other post-production suites, and the improvements made in the last few versions of Resolve easily match other top solutions. Best of all, the free version offers most of the functionality of the paid version, so you can try it out for yourself. Also, I appreciate that the pricing is not a subscription-based model.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is pretty packed. This is a professional suite, so amateur users or people who want to make quick videos may be better served by something simpler.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a solution to create marketing videos, and having such a well-integrated suite for a low price has been great. I could always do small spot work with iMovie, but I hit the ceiling of what that program was capable of pretty quickly. Now I can create professional looking videos with great sound.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a very comprehensive product but it has a steep learning curve, especially if you don't have a lot of experience with other professional non-linear editing software. Familiarize yourself with online Resolve communities for some great training materials.
Wonderful NLE, best software for color grading period
What do you like best about the product?
If you're reading this review then you know that Resolve is the industry standard for color grading. However, the newer editing and VFX as well as sound features are second to none with regards to workflow. No more roundtripping to 5 different applications. The editing portion of DaVinci Resolve is extremely smooth, bug free and fully featured.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find any major flaws. I ditched Premiere Pro for Resolve and I'll never look back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I just finished cutting a feature film in Resolve. I was able to do it much faster compared to doing it in premiere. Fast to sync audio, organize clips as well as timeline functions make it stand out from premiere.

Ensure a high quality GPU and a fast computer. Resolve Studio will handle 8K video and beyond.

What do you like best about the product?
Robust and powerful software offering a majority of professional software features while also free. The premium version (which I do not use) provides even more editing features which would be useful for professional editors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The trouble with getting it to work on some machines because it cannot find the GPU. Usually, a driver compatibility issue which has been tough to solve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used for personal projects, mainly editing footage taken on action cameras used during biking or trekking and for creating videos to showcase research work at CMU. Easy to use, highly customizable, giving control over image properties like color, sharpness, size, and bitrate among others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great software to use for almost anything. Very intuitive to use once you get the hang of it. For best performance, a dedicated graphics card is recommended. Their website would show the ones compatible with the software.
Easiest and most powerful coloring tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
There's a lot more you can do with this coloring software than the color tab within Adobe Premiere like masking an area to color and tracking that mask works way easier and quicker in Davinci.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's harder for me to add LUTs to this than within Adobe Premiere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coloring videos is super important to make them cohesive and eye catching. Davinci does a good job being compatible with other softwares so you can go back and forth between them without much hassle.
Best Colour Around
What do you like best about the product?
I love that opposed to Premiere and After Effects, the color bit depth is wider. This results in better color correction across complex images. Davinci is the go-to for professional color grading suites, and it makes perfect sense why.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have only had a little time with the software, and it takes time to get used to. I also have found it takes a real learning curve to intigrate it into your system. For me, I have been round tripping from Premiere to Resolve & back after it's finished. This can be good, but the way the two software interpret color sometimes is annoying that they finish differently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resolve has the best color correction you can find anywhere.

Great free video editing software.
What do you like best about the product?
This software includes a lot of basic features, it is similar to some of the expensive video editing software-like final cut pro- however it is free. It has great audio and it's easy to edit and cut audio clips. It has simple features allowing for basic transitions from clip to clip.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is missing a few important features, it is good for basic video editing, however for anything more than basic it is lacking the capacity to do complicated special effects or transitions. Also does not have the same templates that can be found is lots of video editing software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Video production is key to a successful business, having reliable free software has helped us to increase our profits. This has been great for our YouTube channel and the videos that we have created there, however for paying customers wishing a video production we use more advanced software.

Increase the special effects and templates available.
