The one I'd want if I was stranded on an island
What do you like best about the product?
In the few months that I've worked with DaVinci Resolve after getting too frustrated with a competing product that made every step more complicated than it needed to be, I've appreciated how customer-centric both the software itself and the vendor are.
The software is powerful, flexible, and vast. Want to get things done? Use DaVinci. Want to lose your mind dealing with unnecessarily steps and apologists? Use a competing product.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot to understand and wrap your head around, but that's the nature of powerful software and there are many training resources available to help tame the learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to provide clients with stunning, professional-level video, with minimal frustration and fuss compared to other software I used before switching to DaVinci. Despite the power and complexity of video editing software, DaVinci makes sense and simplifies that power in ways that other editors do not.

A Complete Swiss Knife for Video
What do you like best about the product?
Resolve is perhaps the most complete software that exists today in terms of video editing, colorization, and visual effects.
The big difference to other options on the market is that Davinci Resolve includes many tools for different purposes within the same software.
The quality of these tools is high and with ample possibilities for customization and refinement, which makes Resolve a software that offers everything you need in a single solution.

What do you dislike about the product?
When talking about a tool with a wide range of possibilities like Resolve, it is natural that the learning curve is higher, which can seem intimidating at first sight.
In fact, the interface is full of menus, buttons, and tabs, which makes time for adaptation essential.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Despite having a wide range of tools, we use Resolve to do color correction and grading, which is where the software shines. The amount of tools and different methods makes Davinci Resolve a very powerful software when it comes to color manipulation.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you want to work on advanced coloring for 4K videos or work on fusion , consider having more than 16 GB of ram & high Vram GPU
The Editor we Have Been Looking For
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is beautiful, and the workflow is like nothing I have ever seen before. The tab-based design is intuitive and increases productivity. We are really impressed with the render times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working with nodes rather than layers when creating a certain effect is a bit of a learning curve. The app seems to always have a new update that I have to install.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that we could solve was that we couldn't edit videos on our other software. That was the whole purpose of the software and we couldn't. We found Davinci, and it offered not only great color editing capabilities but also a full-on non-linear editor.
Video editing like a Pro
What do you like best about the product?
The precision video editing features surpass any other editor I have previously used, with the added bonus that it is free.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mechanical precision of the user interface can be intimidating to individuals new to video editing, I wouldn't recommend for the beginner.

I am creating video content for my youtube channel.
DaVinci Resolve is an all-in-one solution
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about DaVinci Resolve Studio is how I can go from editing, to adding graphics, to color grading, to final delivery, without having to use additional software. I take pride in how my footage looks, and previously I took my timeline from other software, imported it into DaVinci, graded it, and delivered it. But ever since I made the jump to use DaVinci completely, I've become a huge fan.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know how much of this is DaVinci Resolve Studio's fault, but I often use footage from a server that I connect to through the internet. When I leave for the day and come back, my server has disconnected. If DaVinci is still on, it disconnects the footage, which I expect. But when I reconnect to the server, the footage doesn't reconnect and let me edit immediately. Instead, I have to quit DaVinci and reopen it in order for the footage to show online and without any errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have seen a lot of benefits of using DaVinci Resolve. The main reason is that I'm faster. I don't have to use multiple programs to achieve my desired result; I get to stay in the program and get it all done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an all-in-one solution for editing and delivering video, DaVinci is the way to go. And if you're unsure about it, try it for free before deciding if you need the Studio version. I use the Studio version because we shoot 4k 10 bit 4:2:2 footage, while the free version only lets you edit 8 bit 4:2:0 footage.

Very good quality video editing without spending a penny. Works well on my macbook pro

Great FREE Video Editor
What do you like best about the product?
DaVinci Resolve is the best free video editor I have ever used. The capabilities are comparable to Final Cut and Premiere, and the color-grading is next level. The best part is that all of this comes with the free version.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like with any video editor on an older computer, I sometimes run into slow load times. A lot of the more advanced features require expert knowledge about color-grading and editing. Be prepared for a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use DaVinci Resolve to edit all of our company's and clients' videos for YouTube, Facebook, IGTV, etc. It's quick, quality, efficient, and we don't have to pay a monthly subscription fee!
Free and Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
This program is super powerful for something free! There's color correction, audio cleanup, basic editing and some sort of effects window (think After Effects). And you only have to pay if you want to output in 4K (if you're doing internet stuff, you'll be fine with 1080p from what I hear).
What do you dislike about the product?
My current computer isn't super powerful. And that's a problem for Resolve apparently. So I have to borrow a friend's gaming laptop for editing until I can save up enough to get something similar. If you have a computer powerful enough, you won't have this problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to clean, process, and export videos without having to pay $700+ a year, which I'd be paying to go with Adobe Creative Suite. And if we did pay for the 4K upgrade, it sounds like a one-time fee.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have to build or buy something beefy that can run this, go with a higher end "gaming build". The resources needed for both are pretty similar.

What do you like best about the product?
Fastest video editor with high-end results.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video stabilization should improve for hyperlapses (is worst than Premiere Pro :,( )
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Premiere Pro is a too slow video editor and doesn't have a deflicker.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to edit professional videos and do it fast, DaVinci Resolve is the best choice! BTW: I highly recommend buying DaVinci Resolve Studio to be able to use deflicker.
