Using Celonis to proactively and accurately identify issues
What do you like best about the product?
The Action Engine is fantastic. The time between defining the requirements of a new needed signal and going live is shockingly short. Then, the immediate positive impact on the business of being able to proactively and accurately identify issues represented in data, using a user-friendly interface to investigate and act on the occurrence, and the ability to document the process and results are impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
When several signals/alerts are raised by Celonis on a particular data set, the alerts/signals are static text vs. hyperlinks which would enable quicker navigation. Not having the ability to save heavily filtered views for future reuse is a time drain when starting a new work session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The proactive identification of potential issues so we can avoid negative impact in the business.

It is a very impactful tool, and you will regularly come across new use cases to apply it to

- It is easy to get started and use.
-Great Training program to get users up to speed on the software
- You are able to make a dashboard extremely fast and can add colors and different displays to the report

What do you dislike about the product?
-It doesn't have set variables and tries to link fields in the background which cause issues when adding fields together that use different tables.
-Can be difficult to add in Excel data if you are not database savy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Celonis to improve our production by narrowing in on batches and improve our production planning. We are also using it as a dashboard for quarterly reviews
Its nice - but it still missing source control and few other capabilities which are really important

Celonis is a good tool for process analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
There is area for improvement. I dont like the front end gui with the whole moving the objects - I wish we had the ability to put in the axsis manually. Most importantly I wish there was some sort of versioning or source control in place, it becomes challenging when multiple developers are working on one task.

It helps with process analytics - easy to identify loop wholes in a process
Learning Celonis as an Analyst and Data Engineer
What do you like best about the product?
the UI is nice and easy to use, especially when building analyses. The LMS training tracks were also a good starting point and Celonis consultants were very helpful in building upon that knowledge and helping us with development and configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like PQL that much - not a lot of training was offered around it in the LMS. I also wish there was some form of versioning since it's confusing not knowing when and who made recent changes to a data job or analysis
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Order to Invoice, Invoice to Cash, and Credit Management. I'm not too close to the business side of the project, but business feedback has been positive about the analyses we've built overall

What do you like best about the product?
Speed to Insight. With Celonis EMS Store, data can be converted into sights in a matter of days. The speed at which this can be completed is incredible
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost model. When you purchase a process you with 256GB of space. Once you exceed this you have to purchase another 256GB of space. A process is very expensive so maving to pay twice just for more GB is a raw deal

We are working on Order to Cash and are looking at the end of end model across all markets and shared service centres

Not much. If any, heavy dependence on SQL for parts of solution

Process mining to generate insights into our order to cash. Using the insights to take on efforts to reduce inefficiences and optimize our processes

A well designed product, easy to use and very insightful. We certainly see expansion of its usage beyond the initial needs at our organization.

What do you like best about the product?
Celonis is easy to use and helps drive process improvements. The tool provided insight into the data and enabled our team to explore opportunities quickly and in a new way. By having visibility of the digital footprint, we were able to identify and analyze processes and used visual tools and statistics to aid in reporting and communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
Celonis provided powerful insight and data that enabled our project driven organization to explore opportunities. The Celonis training provided general guidance, but the teams were not familiar with the functionality and features built into the dashboards, which would have benefited the team in performing the data analysis and root cause studies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business saw opportunities to streamline processes that were impacting multiple teams. The benefits included removing non-value added and manual efforts to save time and money for the company.
Keep it simple and see the results
What do you like best about the product?
Celonis allows you to easily identify, quantify and objectify the bottlenecks in any given process. Even for non advanced programmers, it is possible to get results fast.
The Community and customer support are always available to answer questions and explore new ways to evolve and address any issues.

What do you dislike about the product?
This is a difficult one. Probably one of Celonis greatest problems is how easily you can overcomplicate your analysis and loose focus, depending on your company's organization and hierarchy's.
So, one simple advice would be, if you feel your analysis are getting to complicated, stop, go back to basics, back to the drawing board, and try to follow the success examples of other companies in implementing Celonis.

- Credit Recovery process (broad-spectrum intervention with the aim of optimizing the process E2E)
- Credit Decision (identifying bottlenecks and gains with RPA and other improvement opportunities)
- Costumer Experience (global analysis)
In terms of benefits, we've been able to provide real-time data that wasn't available. We also were able to identify bottlenecks (that are being addressed) and quantify how much the activities in the processes we are analyzing cost and how much we can "win" with some simple otimizations.
