The most flexible authentication as a service provider available
What do you like best about the product?
Auth0 provides quick and painless integration into almost all major identity providers. Setting up Auth0 is quick and easy to do. Auth0 rules provide a dynamic mechanism to change the functionality of the auth system. Delegated admin dashboard customization allows for multiple complex use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inflexibility in the configuration of Apple mobile metadata. Inability to specify a login session should use HTTP session cookies (instead of long lived cookies) which is a security hole when providing authentication for applications that may be used on public terminals. No programmatic mechanism to create a new tenant nor install extensions (all must be done through the Auth0 Management UI).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Migration from legacy user store to cloud based. Integration with social identity providers.

Auth0 can quickly be used to provide sign on functionality to a new or existing product.

What do you like best about the product?
You can set up the tool right away, to implement it fast
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some corner cases not working, and after the notification, the ticket was filed but there are not any action plan or fix estimation. Also each login uses one token, by default, and the team did not assesed the team very well, on advicing them to make them perdurable for reutilization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The credit card login. The ammount of users it can handle is very good and the customization level is excellent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask for perdurable tokens to the team instead of letting the default configuration.

Great error messages! Helpful and precise, often the possible solution is included alongside direct link to a proper place in settings.

Some functionality is missing from Java SDK
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auth0 allows us to stop worrying about incorrectly authenticated or authorized users.

What do you like best about the product?
Is a strong, well tested, authentication service. The logs are very detailed so I can see everything that happened, in case there is a bug. Auth0 has MFA support, and a great UI. It is very easy to find everything I need on the site.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a whole lot of API documentation and there is a bit of a learning curve to learning it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating new users and authenticating their login to their accounts. One awesome benefit is being able to use the account login tool already premade by Auth0.
We've had a good, yet imperfect experience so far with our auth0 integration
What do you like best about the product?
Responsiveness of the auth0 support team and overall easy of use once the integration has been completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use only a small subset of auth0 features and often product updates do not affect us, yet we must still shepherd, monitor, and test upgrades to the product that do no affect the features we're using.
Our usage of the auth0 requires very little resources on the AWS instance we have provisioned, yet during each upgrade we are told that our instance is insufficiently provisioned.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a multi-tenant SaaS provider, we only use auth0 as a middleware between our customers and ourselves to provide authentication with identity providers. For this purpose, it has served our needs well.
Really easy and versatile authentication for your web-apps
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to quickly implement Auth0 without any cost for my solution. The web-UI for configuration is really powerful and straightforward to use. It handles third-party authentication services seamless-ly so we do not worry about that.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still not clear how safe the solution is with just Auth0, i.e. a security audit might still be necessary to ensure that attack surfaces have been minimized and best practises are being followed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Auth0 for authentication and user management. Since our use is limited, we just use the free-tier and Auth0 was really easy to implement and integrate into our solution after.

Definitely consider this.
Auth0 is powerful if you read and understand their documentation carefully.
What do you like best about the product?
Largely very reliable, and very extensible via a well thought out extensibility model. Their custom rules and web-hooks are by far the best feature of their product offering.
What do you dislike about the product?
They have had 2 outages in the last year. This is per se not bad, but both were lengthy (a bit > 1 hour each). Their documentation can become out of date, so it is very important to read over the documentation for a feature very carefully to make sure you are getting the most current documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly customer authentication and SSO, across >1 web & mobile applications. We want excellent security, and to be assured we are doing auth processes as correctly / securely as possible.
