Love the integration with different and ease of use.

Segment is Best to work with Raw Data
What do you like best about the product?
The segment is an excellent tool for giving shape to Raw data, collecting the and sending data from various resources. The best part about the segment is it allows you to re use the raw data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it creates problems while resuing the Raw data but that also can be managed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not have to use multiple tools to share or send the data, it has everything that you need. Integration is also very easy

If you're using multiple tools for data management, the segment has everything that you need.

What do you like best about the product?
The segment is the best analytics integration. Raw data storing is the best thing. Raw logs are very easy to use for internal projects and most importantly we can reuse the raw data easily

Sometimes it is very confusing to use the Raw data and replay with the data is not that easy which looks like

We have benefitted in many ways in terms of the data storage and other data uses

Yes it is highly recommended if you have data to play with.

I like the simplicity of Segment to connect with the numerous tools I'm using in my company.

Doing custom sources is not the most flexible thing in the world.

Having a central place to gather all of the tools and data we have across the organization.
Easy and efficient omnichannel
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to centralize all the tracking from different channels: web, mobile... in one place, see and manage the event in segment platform and be aware of event data violations not meeting your tracking plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes tracking events are not easy to test.

Centralize all the tagging/ tracking plan on one place.

I recommend to filter as much as possible and think structure of data receiving
No engineers? No problem!

Being able to syndicate data to all your downstream tools is incredibly useful but what makes Segment work is their customer support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, Segment does not do session tracking which has meant that we have to use native functions from other tools that aren't transferrable across other tools.

We have saved 100s of hours in engineering time, empowering marketers to get tools set up within minutes.

Spend a little time to get it right the first time and you're set for awhile. It's worth the time.
Amazing Customer Data Platform but needs to improve on external sources data connectors
What do you like best about the product?
The Personas feature of Segment allows you to understand the whole customer journey on multiple devices a lot better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data connectors to external sources are quite unflexible and worse than competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Segment, we wouldn't have been able to put together a reliable marketing attribution modeling given how many devices customers use nowadays and how long their buying periods are. Segment covers those gaps

What do you like best about the product?
Our team uses Segment to streamline our data flow from internal systems to our marketing automation platform (and beyond). It does an excellent job of giving us more control over our data, more visibility into the pipeline, and allows us to segment users into various audiences efficiently and quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to complain about when it comes to Segment - typically, any hiccups I experience are ultimately traced back to other services we use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Segment events has significantly improved our ability to pivot quickly and target specific, unique audiences with relevant messaging.
Great platform for connecting multiple platforms in a blink of an eye

The huge catalogue of services, and the ease in connecting them

There are some advanced platforms that are missing

I can connect a new service in less than 5 minutes, and I don't have to change my code
