Technology at its best
What do you like best about the product?
It enables IT, Finance and DevOps teams to work together to optimise cloud resources for speed, cost and quality. Business leaders can correlate cloud spend to business value to make cloud investment decisions with confidence. FinOps can stay informed of costs and act on anomalies and right sizing opportunities by team, service or projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slightly confusing to put dashboards together. Seeing the breakout day by day and available filters should have been made more simpler and intuitive. To improve upon software latency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to track costs based on tags and environment role across our wide customer base. We use it for our cost management and profitability and reporting. Great tool.

There is no disadvantages I feel in Apptio as of now.

It will be helpful in AWS Cloud cost estimation part when we deploy EC2/ECS services in the cloud.

End to end encryption. Providing virtual and physical solutions. It improves visibility, performance, optimisation, governance and more across cloud environments

There are dislikes on Apptio Cloudability and there is nothing to enclose on the dislikes

It helps me in solving many business needs and providing end to end encryption of my data so that data will be safe. Its a flexible cloud cost management and optimising tool.

User friendly, Good customer service and most importantly they deliver what has been promised. Overall good experience.

I was spending extra money for unnecessary usage of cloud server which I didn't notice for long time. With the help of apptio I could bring the cost down by cutting out unnecessary usage of the same.

The granularity in cost optimization really helps us to effectively use the cloud services while saving the cost for the company.

There is nothing as of now, but in the future I will be definitely contributing with my findings through the feedback sections. Will be very happy to see continuous improvements with the product.

All the billing related issues are getting resolved quickly with the capability of the product. We were able to make the end clients happy with the performance.
Its a great product to know the public cloud cost
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio Cloudability has various great features like tags and mapping and vendor credentials to see the advanced features and rightsizing. This is a great tool to know the public cloud cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Just one issue: I don't see a way to send emails to the various report and dashboards.

This is helping us to provide the public cloud cost and also helps in knowing the advanced features and rightsizing. It also organize the accounts based on tags & Labels and Account groups.

This tool allows us to add different dimensions (instance dimensions, miscellaneous dimensions, item dimensions, time dimensions, basic vendor dimensions) and metrics to a report, which gives more flexibility; the function of clusters is helpful for high-level details to analyse cost allocation trend

The function to see idle costs, which adds value to the expense management side
Apptio Cloudability a Financial Tool to optimize cloud spend
What do you like best about the product?
Cloudability Total Cost as it allows to manage the total cost across public cloud providers especially the hyperscalers. It turns increase the visibility into the cloud spend.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a Non-Tech folk such as me I found some of the terminologies used in the user interface a little difficult to understand though being from a Finance background I was able to connect the dots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One is on providing insights into the cloud spends in a hybrid cloud environment. Another is helping organization become sensitive by exploring options of chargeback and showback, which in turn is helping towards the FinOps journey.
