Good system. I love how it automatically starts timing as soon as I open a window.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the timer automatically starts, but you can also manually start it when you need to. I also like how easy it is to see the work that I have already done.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as responsive as a desktop timer because it goes through the web.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes the system goes down for a while, but that hasn't happened recently so perhaps it has improved. eBility has helped me to keep more accurate time records than I could before I used it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After I reinstall QuickBooks on a new PC the synchronization was failing.

Easy to use, but UI is dated

  • October 08, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With no training, it's easy to jump in and figure out how to submit time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels dated. It's difficult to navigate where you need to go from the home screen, if you haven't already been instructed by employer on how you should submit time (daily vs. weekly). I can never seem to find anything I've already submitted to check if it's accurate, see where I left off, makes changes, etc. It's never listed under Manage My Entries—which feels like the most logical place for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company uses it to track billable hours by department.

    Computer Software

Better timesheet software than I've used in most other places.

What do you like best about the product?
Autosave of data feels very modern. Whenever you click out of a table cell, the value auto validates from an integer to a floating-point decimal and saves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Submitting timesheets is a little bit weird sometimes; having to make sure all the entries are highlighted can be slightly awkward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It handles my company's timesheet system well.

    Law Practice

Time tracker does a lot of things that help businesses, however their customer service lacks.

What do you like best about the product?
Can retrieve quite a lot of information for different things needed to see how performance is working, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer Service--It lacks majorly. We never get emails telling us when updates are happening or what they are, therefore significant issues when it happens. If it is a difficult issue, it is hard to get items fixed when going through a 3rd party; sometimes, it would be nice to go straight to the technician/programmer to avoid the middle person who doesn't always understand. I'm not sure everyone is trained well enough to answer all the questions. I do believe they have gotten better over the last couple of years. Don't always get a follow-up email when the issue is fixed, so you have to keep checking on the system to see if it has been done. Not sure everything syncs easily to Quickbooks (not sure who's issue it is).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to see who is performing well by using the time management part of the system.

Very Easy To Use And Makes Tracking Time Simple

  • October 06, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For anyone needing a way to track a subcontractor's time, this is an easy-to-use application. I really like that it automatically saves my time entries; I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to hit "save" before exiting other time tracking systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The colors and interface are a bit dated. But that's just aesthetics...the system works great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work virtually for different virtual staffing agencies and it's great to have one system where I enter my time. Because it works smoothly with QuickBooks, the agencies can pull a report from Time Tracker easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should give Time Tracker a try. I believe you'll find it works great for virtual teams and the integration with QuickBooks is terrific.

Easy Time Tracking App With Excellent Features

  • October 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the Time Tracker by eBillity for the abundance of features available and the ability to integrate with other applications. I use Quickbooks to handle my business accounting, and the fact that I can sync my hours quickly makes life so much easier. I also like that I can have things sync on a weekly schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about Time Tracker, but if I had to choose something, it would be the manual sync with QuickBooks that has to occur. One day I had to remove my QuickBooks account to re-sync it due to an error in the client list. It would be great if the sync happened daily automatically. That way, you could update QuickBooks and have the change cascade into the Time Tracker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fundamental problem I'm solving with eBillity is a Time Tracker that my clients approve. eBillity has built a tool that ensures the integrity of timesheets that's easy to use. Being able to track all of the company's hours by the clients and syncing them to QuickBooks to create invoices seamlessly is imperative to the success of my small business.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is simple and easy to input my hours
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the text are tiny, so it'll be nice if they could be larger
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily edit my hours if I need to and also categorize them as billable or not (with a simple checkmark)

Recent Changes Make it Even Better

  • October 06, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Entering time as an employee is relatively straightforward, and as an administrator, it is easy to make adjustments and corrections and sync the timesheets to QuickBooks. The online interface also saves very quickly, so employees do not accidentally lose their entered information if they close the program in a rush.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the column where it shows all of the customer jobs, it shows the customer's name (example: NOAA) on a separate line, then below it on another line are the jobs (example: NOAA: 123456 Radiometer--new line for each job). The employees and I wish we could not have the customer "name only" line because employees hastily click on the customer "name only" line instead of the customer name WITH the job number, if that makes sense. For the example I used, employees selected "NOAA" and added their time when they should have chosen NOAA: 123456 Radiometer. This may not seem like a big deal, and employees should use their heads, but it happens a lot, and we have to make adjustments on the admin side, including determining which of the customer's jobs they meant to charge to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had issues wondering what the employees were doing when charging to a general area like salary overhead. Now, Time Tracker allows them to make a lengthy 1000-character note in the description box. Our big benefits are being able to easily sync with QuickBooks to add jobs to the online interface in a flash, as well as the employees being able to enter their time down to the smallest increment accurately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Time Tracker does make it easy for employees to record their time down to the smallest increments accurately, meaning the financial controller can have precise spending details on contracts, which makes for accurate, real-time budget reports.
