Sophos MTR - Sleep easier!

What do you like best about the product?
It is a fully managed solution and they have live people monitoring the environment 24x7. It is easy to deploy and we are notified/involved in any discoveries.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a VMWare host agent. Sophos support is difficult to get through to, MTR support is always available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MTR resolves the problem of not having staff available 24x7 to monitor the network/devices.

What do you like best about the product?
24/7 threat hunting detection and response.

Fantastic detection and service offering with good communication with my internal team and Managed Threat Response experts

Nothing to dislike about this product, noting is missing and it works very well for my organisation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the product is much cost efficient than keeping 24/7 staff .

Increased Visibility in my network with experienced security experts has given me better performance in my Business.

What do you like best about the product?
Fast first response, 24/7 support team with excellent knowhow, Embedded services in a complete security Solution
What do you dislike about the product?
no local language (german) and no onsite service

helps us offer our own SOC services without the need for our own costly infrastructure

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos MTR deployment and management is one of the easiest in the market. With MTR Advanced, we are able to dial in and speak to a threat hunter at anytime to conduct a headless threat hunting. This has helped us a lot when we saw any new vulnerability release on the news but unsure of what to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Sophos MTR service was just launched a couple of years ago, the reporting is still pretty basic even though the threat hunting service is great. The default report will not be sufficient to create a proper security incident report. We will have to speak to the threat hunters directly in order to get additional information on the attack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos MTR is solving our threat hunting and responding requirement. As cyberattacks become more prevalent, we do not have sufficient budget and manhour to respond to all cyberattacks promptly. Sophos MTR takes over the first level of threat hunting and response responsibility so our team can focus on our work.

What do you like best about the product?
Able to login from a mobile phone as long there is internet
What do you dislike about the product?
Some support staff are unfriendly and doesn't understand what customer wants.
Intermittent some services will fail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No idea if MTR solves anything but weekly reports are being sent to inform us what are the activities ongoing for the past week.

What do you like best about the product?
The best reason to purchase MTR above and beyond the normal intercept X is the support with the 24/7 operations that we live in from SMB to the enterprise. We cannot expect a member of an IT team to be online all day every day to be ready to respond to a threat - especially on the infrastructure that runs our businesses. The fact that I have a second set of eyes on things that will actively engage with a threat to my infrastructure is a great comfort when I am busy with day-to-day operations or god forbid; a holiday!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do take some issue with the fact the MTR team does not accept support issues and just refers you off to the standard support team. My assumption is that for the price tag you would get a more elevated support platform holistically rather than half and halfing the support model. Also, the ability to drill down in reports is a bit frustrating when you need to find data on an issue or behavior fast. But this is more SOPHOS Central rather then MTR
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Another set of eyes! Being able to just focus on operations and delivery and not spend so much time in the weeds looking at logs and hunting for possible threats really frees up my time and provides our risk team great comfort that I do not need to be on deck all day, every day!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confirm that the MTR is required as the cost vs Intercept X is a big jump

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Managed Threat Response provides 24*7 Protection which helps in active threat detection and resolving the issue in no time. They have one of the best teams which are expertized in cyber security and so far our organization has not seen downtime. Thanks to Sophos MTR service
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos MTR is a bit expensive and sometimes they take a lot of time to revert. Sophos should have multiple language selections which will help clients to be more comfortable with MTR solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization has a small IT team, Sophos MTR helped us to provide 24*7 protection. When we have public holidays or weekends we know Sophos Team is working on the backend and helping us to stay protected.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sophos provides a great managed threat response service. Just go for it!

What do you like best about the product?
We used to have Sophos installed as a security measure, but suddenly we were attacked quite massively. Therefore we increase our collaboration with Sophos and employed the Sophos Rapid Response Team and the Monitoring Team as well.
Without this, we wouldn’t have been able to cope with the massive attacks that followed. The 24/7 Rapid Response Team was constantly there for our questions, they were patient to explain and help whenever we needed it. Without their help, we would not have been able to deal with all the problems that crashed onto us all at the same time. They showed us which priorities we had, which the greatest risks were and which deficits we still had.
The Monitoring Team guarded our infrastructure around the clock and helped to make sure that our IT team got the necessary breaks.

By now we have reached a point where all known security risks are closed and only minor improvements and optimization is necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
We should have known earlier about this service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos has helped us to stay in business when the pure amount of attacks would have crashed us. Their experience kept us afloat and helped us to reduce the tasks into doable portions. They showed us where our weaknesses were and how to deal with them.
