Good service management tool. Sometimes a bit slow

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Ivanti Service Manager for a number of years. We have customized it to meet our needs. This saves our IT department many hours each day to have all requests and incidents automated. The approval process that the requests go through is seamless and saves us time and paperwork.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet. We are happy with the product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly the approval process. Tickets can be directed to the appropriate level of management or HR. This takes IT out of that process. Our campus is now hosting the Super Bowl. Our Public Safety Department is making use of Service Manager for access badge approval. They are thoroughly impressed with the capabilities of this software.

Discovering what ISM is really capable of doing and automating.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support for the upgrade.
Did not like that some of the Out of the box feature shown were not available based on licensing. In fact some even required a different product.

Once we knew there were business partners who could also assist who are more in our region helped a bit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get training on using the system. Have qualified administrators.
Excited to implement Ivanti Service Manager in our enterprise.

Modern design. Powerful tool for workflows. Self Service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to dislike after taking the courses to see how everything fits together.

Smart forms that kick off workflows. Better metrics for reporting.

For the user it is very easy to learn and use. For the admin it takes a lot of work up front but works great

the console you hve to jump to many different modules to set up 1 item

Self service ticketing and IS requests for software and access.
The product is versitile.

The ability to use it throughout the whole organization. It is not just an IT product but can be used by all departments.

I dont really have anything I dislike. The product is good.

Phone call deflection and avoidance.

The Service and Support you receive is steller

Process designer - you can design process as needed, with statusses, actions reminders and so on.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to access other objects - ie. if user requested a set of CI's, it is hard to manage all of them in one step - change owner, status etc.

Adopting tool processes to real life work.
This is the ticketing tool we use in my company.

The easiness of use to the end user, and how fast we can setup their accounts.

Setup data is a little complicated, the reporting tools only allow to use one filter, so that limits what you can do there,

Our ticketing system is managed using this tool. It help us staying organized.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very easy. It is very customizable and allows others to make their home screens look the way they want. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a ticketing system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not work well in all different types of browsers and version. It should have more freedom with that aspect. Also, theme's should be an option. The white gets very taxing on the eyes.
