Best EPM tool for Planning and forecasting
What do you like best about the product?
- Connected Planning enables user to plan seamlessly across different usecases like finance , HR , Supply chain etc
- Excellent planning tool for planning use case scenarios and see what-if scenarios impact on business KPIs
- Easy to use interface , combined with enhanced modelling capability make it the leading planning tool
- Extremely helpful community to know more about interesting features and resolve queries

-Sometimes reporting or specific charting functionalities unavailable in Anaplan new UX

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility to model any business problem with excel-like ease of use for business as well as for implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could improve data integrations with direct connectors to sources like SAP, Oracle etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Great forecasting tool that is logical to use as a builder and maintain as an end user. It allows clients to forecast on a dynamic basis. The tool can link with various integration tools with built in functionality from Cloudworks

The reporting features could be improved upon but is getting better over time

Time to build forecasts are quicker whilst improving detail

Management reporting can be further improved, to introduce more flexibility for the customer

Within Anaplan, it si possible to solve any problem, as logn as you have an experienced model builder and a dedicated person from a buiseness side to give clear requirements

It´s a smartest excel, Its easy to extract information from files and start working

it´s arquitecture, its still a little bit new and can impruve in some areas

Anaplan is capable of handling various use cases among FP&A, Sales, Workforce Planning, Product Manufacturing, Transportation, and Supply Chain.
Anaplan offers a single platform that multiple users (100s, 1000s) can access at the same time, which allows collaborative and real time planning.

Anaplan uses a sparse calculation model. As a result, models can become very large.
The large the model, the higher the licensing fees and potential impact to performance.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is solving the problem of relying on disparate Excel sheets and Excel models to perform monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting cycles.
The benefit is that there is more security and transparency to the models being hosted in a single clould planning platform as opposed to Excel files on various employees' laptops.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is a great planning and analytical tool to conver a wide range of general and industry-specific use cases through an amazingly flexible modeling engine and nice user inteface. Recent addition of powerful workflow functionality looks great as well
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve for users to learn navigation and advanced features, such as pivot, drill down, etc. Integrations could be improved as well. Importing large data sets could be faster.

1. Since business environment changes everyday, EPM solution with implementation flexiblility is more preferred, and Anaplan is such kind of platform which is easy for COE team to make changes in system according to new requirements.
2. Anaplan NUX pages include helpful native functions like filter, pivot, search etc., so end users can also custermize their analysis in certain level.
3. Anaplan can be used in multiple areas incl supply chain, FP&A, Tax etc.. The functions in Anaplan can support most of the operation/reporting needs from end users, so we help clients to realize their business process using single tool.

From development perspective, if Anaplan backend can provide a summary view for following information, it will be very helpful for teachnical lead to review and refine the model.

Simplify the data integration and update flow. Anaplan can consolidate data from multiple external systems in to data hub, and all the business users will perform operations using same data and all the adjustment or changes will be reflected in solution in real time (Single source of truth)

Anaplan can track all the edit history from both front end and back end, and this auditability is usually requested by all the clients
