What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is very flexible and powerful. The fact that it allows real-time calculating with no processing time and online collaboration is a huge benefit of this application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan could still improve its dashboarding and charting capabilities. While they are present, there are still some gaps in the charting that other solutions (excel) have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved many problems with Anaplan across various use cases both internally at my company and for our clients. From Agile Tracking to Recruiting Reporting and Sales Planning, Anaplan has shown it can do it all!
Anaplan for connected planning
What do you like best about the product?
Working in a consulting firm, I've been helping other companies (clients) to implement Anaplan solutions across multiple domains and use cases such as : Financial Planning and Analysis, Incentive Compensation, Territory and Quota Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Marketing Management and Planning, Trade Promotions and a few more. The product Anaplan is highly flexible in terms of configuration and can support many features such as Workflow, Real time calculations, real time what-if scenarios. Since it also has a mobile app the users can easily access their reports on their mobile app and don't necessarily need to login to a computer to look at the reports. The power of Connected planning is one of the biggest strength of Anaplan where multiple departments in an organization can come all be connected via the same cloud platform and that gives the organization real time data flowing from 1 department to the other without having to wait for different platforms to integrate data from source to target.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is well suited for larger organizations with many departments having dependency on one another for data - connected planning via Anaplan is a great way to move faster and make informed decisions looking at the real time data. Anaplan is not so well suited for smaller organizations that do not have a lot of users and can achieve their task using simple excel formulas. Financial Planning and Analysis, Incentive Compensation, Territory and Quota Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Marketing Management and Planning, Trade Promotions are few problems that can be solved.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the user experience is really flexible and meets the main needs of most enterprises. The Connected Planning experience a good implementation can give to its customers is a high-end solution that works really well. The platform constantly expands and is market competitive, the multiple integration options allow the system to communicate and seamlessly fit in any existing environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having worked with both the gritty back-end and not just the polished front-end, I see areas where improvements could be made, particularly in how the dimensions function and how the engine operates, as well as new features that can make the quality of work significantly better (e.g. view filters on import creation). Since this is a live system, any blocking action can significantly disrupt the user experience for all users involved.

As organizations scale their planning across functions, regions, and business units, the process often becomes fragmented, difficult to optimize, and costly to maintain. What do you dislike about the product?
Its single-threaded nature makes it sometimes hung if something is running already, for instance, a data load process or something related to a wrong command, etc. which puts all the users on a halt for a few seconds
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing Anaplan's computing capabilities for enhancing the planning, budgeting, and analytics process for our Sales and Finance domains to speed up the process and provide better insights for decision making. We recently used Anaplan for Sales Incentive payouts calculation, where in the payout mechanism was highly customized and Anaplan was flexible enough to cover for all the requirements.

Any type of planning problems. Connecting people, streamlining and simplifying processes and cutting planning cycle time.
Continues to enhance planning
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan drives value and lessens time to decision. It's powerful calculation engine can handle complex logic, and it's intuitive user interface enhances usability but also tells a story. This allows organizations to clearly follow along even the most complex processes. Being able to calculate intricate formulas with vast arrays of data, and then clearly tell that story on a board or management page, is a feature that sets Anaplan apart. It is also scalable. With the right team, connected planning will become the rule instead of the exception at any commited organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some intuitive model building items that Anaplan could improve with, such as inherent time or dimension filtering that transcend having to build certain functionality to need. Additionally, while customer support is extremely helpful, the error messaging could improve and allow more troubleshooting on it's own. For example, the calculation process running in the midst of an erroneous formula can add extra time to making seemigly quick updates on the back end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One problem Anaplan is solving for us now is how to dynamically plan data on a daily level, while quickly aggregating to monthly views for analytical purposes. Previously, our client was unable to do this efficiently. Once they did get the correct views, they lost access to much of the daily & transactional level detail that drove the results. Anaplan fixed this issue seamlessly. This has allow for better forecasting, less stress during month end, and better decision making.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Anaplan as a solution for any business. The benefits are limitless, and the interface is friendly and easy to use. You will instantly see benefits if you have dedicated personnel helping implement and maintain. Clean data and a clear roadmap & vision are essential to successfully using this tool.
The choice for Integrated Business Planning

Flexibility, business ownership, and scalability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom time settings and user-based filters are not perfected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can create an automated baseline forecast to add judgment-based forecast decisions to give me more time for value add activities.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility, Scalable , Customizable, Dyanamic User Interface , NUX Pages and Reporting , Quick Modelling , Ability to model what if scenarios like excel models.
What do you dislike about the product?
Security Setup needs improvement; Groups wise provisioning needs to be enabled; inbuilt integration capability needs to be enabled. Provide an ability to customize security like SAP and Oracle systems.

Anaplan allows us to plan quickly and quickly provide decisions. This enabled in increased productivity and efficiency across the team. Moreover, the value-driven using Anaplan helped to reduce the cost in the organization.
