What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Disclosure Reporting: Meeting complex disclosure requirements in a transparent way and saving team members time to complete said processes.
- Connected Planning: Streamlining the planning process while allowing for more data points to be captured, which means that the walk from the previous cycle to the next can be automatically generated (rather than manually pieced together).

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is very flexible and powerful. The fact that it allows real-time calculating with no processing time and online collaboration is a huge benefit of this application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan could still improve its dashboarding and charting capabilities. While they are present, there are still some gaps in the charting that other solutions (excel) have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved many problems with Anaplan across various use cases both internally at my company and for our clients. From Agile Tracking to Recruiting Reporting and Sales Planning, Anaplan has shown it can do it all!

What do you like best about the product?
Working in a consulting firm, I've been helping other companies (clients) to implement Anaplan solutions across multiple domains and use cases such as : Financial Planning and Analysis, Incentive Compensation, Territory and Quota Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Marketing Management and Planning, Trade Promotions and a few more. The product Anaplan is highly flexible in terms of configuration and can support many features such as Workflow, Real time calculations, real time what-if scenarios. Since it also has a mobile app the users can easily access their reports on their mobile app and don't necessarily need to login to a computer to look at the reports. The power of Connected planning is one of the biggest strength of Anaplan where multiple departments in an organization can come all be connected via the same cloud platform and that gives the organization real time data flowing from 1 department to the other without having to wait for different platforms to integrate data from source to target.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is well suited for larger organizations with many departments having dependency on one another for data - connected planning via Anaplan is a great way to move faster and make informed decisions looking at the real time data. Anaplan is not so well suited for smaller organizations that do not have a lot of users and can achieve their task using simple excel formulas. Financial Planning and Analysis, Incentive Compensation, Territory and Quota Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Marketing Management and Planning, Trade Promotions are few problems that can be solved.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
As Anaplan is very easily scalable and flexible, always set a fixed goal for the phase of the project as it can easily get out of hand while implementation
Anaplan - Boosting Data Capacity with Anaplan's HyperModel Feature
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan's regular model size is 130G, while its Hypermodel is capable to deal with large data size and can reach 720G. This great feature allow us to be able to integrate historical data, previous versions' data into the system, and deliver Year-over-Year, Version-over-Version comparison without any difficulty.
We are now able to increase the amount of more meaningful dimensions in the Hypermodel and can drill down to more details within the structure.

What do you dislike about the product?
We also had our initial demo for Anaplan's Machine Learning capabilities - Plan IQ. This is a very exciting demo. The built-in algorithms are awesome, but we wish that we could see a little bit more detailed algorithm behind the scene.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The increased model size allows us to integrate more and more data into Anaplan, and to use Anaplan as a single source of truth for a variety of reports across all departments.

The customization options of the tool and speed of the calculation engine.

Depending on who is implementing the tool, it can become very unnecessarily over complicated

Providing visibility into how things are calculated and eliminating 1000s of spreadsheets to prevent errors. It also decreases the planning preparation period and increases the analysis period.
Anaplan is a very flexible and scalable tool that can fit most business needs for forecasting.

I like the flexibility of the tool. It allows for business users to build the model with logic the fits their needs

I believe the licensing can be a bit expensive compared to other tools.

We a reducing time to make planning decisions dramatically by reducing cumbersome excel models and processes.
