Fantastic Tool for Planning
What do you like best about the product?
Similar to Microsoft Excel, Anaplan is a blank sheet that allows you to build whatever you like. Anaplan handles massive amounts of data, in a connected fashion, which is extremely valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users are typically coming from Excel, I wish Anaplan had more Excel-like features like in-cell formulas for users, expand/collapse, same filter style, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My customers see a massive time savings with Anaplan. There are no more consolidations of their excel models, which is also prone to formula errors etc. They can focus on what the numbers mean versus are my numbers rolling correctly.
Flexible Modeling Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how flexible it is and how many ways there are to solve a single problem. It really allows you to take an issue or pain point that you have having and create it in a an elegant, scalable, accurate solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
In recent years there has been a lot of information released about best practices, and sometimes the ways that we used to build are not best practice currently. It is imperative to build using best practices or you could face performance and concurrency issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan takes generally disparate systems and processes and brings them together in a single platform. It helps the Analyst spend more time Analyzing the data and less time curating and wrangling the data.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan has a potent calculation engine, which allows a very fast processing of information and allows you to connect different parts of the organisation; every process is auditable and you can set up a very detailed and easy-to-use security system, so users can only access specific data, even when seeing the same page as others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan requires someone with some knowledge of the tool, which can be hard to find in some markets. Also, you need to pay for the space used, so it is not suitable as a database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan allows you to process millions of data points in mere seconds, allowing an integration of data across the entire organisation and giving real-time updates on the planning process.

What do you like best about the product?
In Anaplan, anything is possible. A process that was manual and tedious can now be automated and centralized. This can eliminate time in the planning cycle and give users the ability to make more accurate forecasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan is limited in the capacity for the graphs. I'd like them to release more graphics for the interface that would be useful to planning process. This is especially important in high level reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan solves the pain point when different departments are using different datasets for the same goal. This causes inaccurate forecast and does not foster a culture of collaboration.
Robust, Customized Planning Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Use cases are almost endless, and solutions can be built within reasonable time periods.
What do you dislike about the product?
Options for showing variances for user planning pages (not within Management Reporting). Lack of iteration solution for circular references.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency and accuracy of detailed planning that had historically been done in Excel. Cuts hours spent by planners significantly.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to automate processes and plan at any level of granularity. The UX is also very intuitive and aesthetically pleasing for our exec team to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it very difficult to back track and correct anything that has been accidentally deleted or overwritten on the UX pages. I would really like an undo-type functionality to revert data back to what was previously in the cell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us plan at a very granular level and automating processes that would otherwise take place in excel or google sheets. Which is eliminating much of the possibility for manual error.

Its a powerful planning tool and needs areas of developlments in Reporting.

Anaplan helps our clients to fast-track their business process and complete their planning on time. Anaplan has saved a lot of time in the planning process starting from user inputs to workflow approval of the top-level management. It helps the users to do simulations, what-if analyses, variance analysis etc
