Powerful data and tools here.
What do you like best about the product?
We help a variety of clients solve various challenges surrounding risk and fraud. The products Fraud.net offers are very customizable for the use-cases we need help with. That's the best thing so far for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still some data that is not fully labelled, sometimes raising questions about what is being displayed, but that's probably because they keep adding new data points before their content team has caught up. Not a big issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fraud.net is helping us solve problems for our clients that include ecommerce customer and device risk scoring, rewards program points abuse, and invoice/payment fraud and more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

What do you like best about the product?
It's been a great experience to utilize Fraud.net's offerings. It's a lot more than just a portal to "approve" or "cancel" transactions, as we soon found out. Within a few months, the fraud.net team showed us things we never thought were even correlated as it relates to how to spot both good and bad users. We were then able to take that data and make adjustments to some of our business practices. As a result, we are approving more good orders and getting less chargebacks. Win-win.
What do you dislike about the product?
We migrated from another provider and at first it was frustrating to relearn a new product that had different (and ultimately better) capabilties, especially for an organization-wide transition. We were looking at it from a 'rules-based' solution, instead of a comprehensive fraud solution, so we had to change our mindset. Glad we did.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to move away from just writing rules to stop fraud. We wanted to actually get ahead of it and we felt that a technology based/data science oriented solution gave us our best chance to do so. With so much data out there, it was impossible to keep up. Now we have a great solution, that we rely on and trust. And as mentioned above, revenue is up and fraud is down (both of which are great things to say).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a deployment plan. Fraud.net was really good about helping us scope out what we needed to do and in phases. When your company is making a change like this, it's really important to do technical tests and make sure everything is working well before you fully turn it on. Fraud.net was great about setting expectations and organizing our data.
Highly recommend.
What do you like best about the product?
Using this on the backend with some of our properties and it's been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of data available can be overwhelming, so make sure you work with reps to understand and get the best use out of it for your needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work in publishing and ecommerce so are concerned about the source, quality and validity of our web traffic. Fraud.net helps us identify good and bad traffic, device authentication and malicious bots, helping us with various business, technical and operational issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give them a call and see what they can uncover for you to help your business.
Helped my department meet their goals.
What do you like best about the product?
My team found some really interesting trends after we used it for awhile. The product was pretty easy to use and the training period was minimal. I liked being able to see so much info about a single transaction while keeping my company's data organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rule writing can be frustrating, especially for beginners. There were so many options and it was hard to know where to start. Eventually got the hang of it and it was smooth sailing from there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just keeping my company's data organized and easy to digest has been a huge lift for my team's productivity and business decisions. We actually uncovered a new type of fraud that our internal system wouldn't have been able to catch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to know what you want to get out of the product first. We knew Fraud.net was the best fit for us because we had a list of things that we asked each vendor. They were the only ones that could do everything we wanted to. Definitely pays to shop around and we couldn't be happier
Easy implementation, deep and relevant data provided, makes decisioning a breeze.
What do you like best about the product?
Knowledgeable and helpful team, fast and easy onboarding, rich data with clean interface for efficient management of order reviews. Appreciate the network feature and ability to report fraudsters to the community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything to dislike yet. Works as billed and can do much more than we need right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a rash of problems with international crooks trying to submit orders with stolen credit cards, either to steal products or validate the cards. Our payment gateway tools were failing to stop the transactions, so we used Fraud.net's rules engine to identify them and block them from our website. Immediate ROI and time saver.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Identify your biggest pain point for detecting and preventing fraud and start with that solution from Fraud.net. It will likely help you in short amount of time after which you can add services to help with other areas of your business.
Really Comprehensive. Helped identify fraud and make big improvements to our order management system
What do you like best about the product?
I work at a mid-sized e-commerce company and started using the service about 2 years ago. First I just used the api to get a fraud score to feed into our own order management system, but as I got to know Fraudnet's system better, we began using their scoring, case management and automation systems too. Really helpful in getting the initial setup launched, so all around a very pleasant experience in solving an unpleasant problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably worth getting a support plan if you're doing medium volume, since we started without one and the turnaround for email questions was about 24 hours. I think they've gotten better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a lot of fraud as our volume grew. Our customer service reps weren't able to keep up with the phone calls and manual reviews, so we had Fraud.net come in and score the orders using machine learning so our CSRs would only have to spend a few minutes per review (down from 20 minutes). They knew a lot about e-commerce so the whole process was pretty easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do some preparation and the process can go really fast. I didn't look at the api documentation or ask for help, so it took me a week longer than it should have, but the whole integration happened in about a month. We programmed the api in less than a day.
