Great for Big SEO
What do you like best about the product?
We really like the insights into everything that is going on throughout our content, rankings and organic traffic. Some of the deliverables that we like are the metadata recommendations as that frees up a lot of our time for some of the simpler tasks while allowing us to focus on the bigger picture of our SEO strategy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to say what I dislike since there aren't many things, but things like being able to locally filter some of the data in the Insights Stream is an issue, but from what I gather, they are working on improving it. One thing that I wish the platform would have would be a way to integrate this data into Google Data Studio through an official GDS connector. It is one of the main reasons why we continue to use SEMrush alongside Conductor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Competitor analyses have been easier to accomplish as well as doing content briefs. My favorite part about the program is the Keyword Explorer. You can really get your research going and the vast amount of data makes it a one-stop tool that replaces my old KW research workflow of having to use multiple tools to accomplish it all.
Intelligent tool with a good support and a lot of updates
What do you like best about the product?
I like to talk with the team of conductor when we see somes potentials updates and Conductor are very attentive about that. There are many updates in a year to improve and facilitate the utilisation. Also we can organize the category as we want, I can check only my category and not the others and I can create Workspace only with the information that interests me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are bugs in Explorer with the number of research.
Also in fench we have a lot of accents and sometimes we can't find any result with accents.
The language is a problem for some people, it will be amazing to have the tool in french

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With COnductor we can control our ranking in google per category.
We can see quickly if a Keywords need some optimizations. Every weeks we are a view about all our keywords and we can communicate that to the others team of the company
We also can see if our works did worked or not
An other part was to "educate" the others team with Conductor, today a lot of collaborators uses Conductor to fin the better keywords without our help.

To improve your ranking Conductor is a good tool to evaluate, optimize and control our website. With conductor you see where is the urgency (lost of ranking, lot of researches about somes keywords, ranking of competitors ..) and you have some data to communicate.

Conductor Searchlight is The Right Fit
What do you like best about the product?
The Searchlight platform is intuitive and easy to use. We spent less time learning and more time doing. The platform provides actionable insights that give us almost immediate results.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not cheap, so it wasn't an easy sell when we first explored the platform. But, the ROI was quickly realized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're finding all the technical shortcomings of our website, improving site speed & user experience while increasing site traffic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the benefit of increasing site traffic when weighing the cost. The ROI is definitely there.
Your all in one stop for SEO
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to build custom dashboards and reports. Their Orchestra Marketplace is full of requests that you could make such as content briefs, metadata optimizations, keyword research, SEO training, and competitor analysis.
It was especially helpful when we had a team member join us and they had a suite of videos to expedite the onboarding process.
The fact that Conductor uses DeepCrawl is a big plus for us as we were able to find out duplicate H1 tags, meta descriptions as well as well as some redirect errors. We noticed a pickup in traffic after 2 months. The analysis also gave us visibility that our slight dip in traffic wasn't due to a Google algorithm update, but a few errors on our end.
They recently started offering separate services with additional partners in case your team doesn't have the bandwidth to create content pages, or implement the changes recommended by Searchlight.

There might be some domains that aren't available to track if you're looking to improve on international SEO, but they're slowly adding more and more countries.
One thing that might be confusing is the navigation menu items as a lot of the items sound similar.
There are some dashboards that aren't as user friendly as one might like, but the ability to customize each dashboard helps make up for some minor design flaws.

Conductor gives us the ability to track all of our lower funnel keywords and see which content gaps we have and can build upon. The ability to run DeepCrawl monthly has also helped us make sure that our website is technically sound.

If you have a clear goal of what you want to improve on and track, Conductor Searchlight can give you the granular detail and track what you need to. If not, they have representatives that can help guide you through the process.
Great For Rankings Tracking and Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Conductor does a great job at being user friendly and integrating all the potential data points. When fully setup, it provides a lot of valuable insights to boost performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall account management and client services seems to have gotten worse over the years. There's also some limitations in applying workspaces to every account. It unfortunately needs to be done manually each team instead of being apply to do a template type approach.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting and performance in general for different stakeholders of an organization. Each stakeholder needs to cover slightly different topics. There also needs to be some better tools for enterprise and being able to apply things to multiple websites instead of needing to create everything each time.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive. Custom dashboards work well. You can even generate tasks from Conductor to Jira.

Keywords are analyzed weekly and up charges to track daily.

Being able to track and trend thousands of keywords. The Smart Categories make it easy to see how we're doing at a glance. Able to support strategic and technical seo anaylses.
Strong SEO platform for multiple audiences
What do you like best about the product?
Conductor provides a good toolkit for building both high level and expert audiences. Most platforms typically are really good for one audience type (usually reporting for high level summations), however with Conductor not only am I able to give reports to the executive team, but I can also use it to drill down on the items that matters most for the content team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I truly dislike about Conductor. I think there are a handful of areas that could be tweaked, for instance, for myself whose had a background using Moz as well as handling data directly (such as through sql inquiries), I had to get use to the user interface and I had to setup a lot of things to make it usable for myself. But the functionality is there to do so. So not really a complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I pull data out of Conductor to see correlations between how the audience sees my company compared to how the marketers market the company (organic vs paid). I also use the data to work with various teams on how to tweak their ad copy to be more aligned with the audience/customer.
Solid platform with great SEO consulting experts who creatively leverage their search knowledge
What do you like best about the product?
The hands on consulting and structure around customer support seems like their biggest differentiator in my experience in this space. Their platform and their people is like hiring an SEO team.

The platform can be a little difficult to navigate and interpret.

Understanding consumer behavior, maximizing organic search traffic and conversion.
Amazing customer support so that ANYONE can get a grasp on SEO

I love the Explorer feature so that I can research keywords and topics to influence future pieces of content on our blogsite.

I'm a little intimidated to pull my own reports because I'm not always confident I have everything set up correctly.
