Reliable, Low-Maintenance Backups with Helpful Quarterly Check-Ins

  • March 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works well. Once jobs are set there is very little need for intervention. We only have a few job errors throughout the year and usually not caused by Druva. I also appreciate the quarterly check-ins to make sure our account is running smoothly and we are informed of new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint I can think of is that Druva cannot backup a Hyper-V VM stored on a host that is part of a cluster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up our servers, endpoints and Microsoft cloud applications. It also adds another layer of security by ensuring our backups are not compromised. If they are, we have features that make restores less painful.

Easy-to-Manage Backups with Clear Reporting and Good Support

  • February 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using Druva for about 2.5 years in our K-12 school district (around 4,200 students), mainly to back up our on-prem VMware environment and file servers.

The biggest improvement for us was moving off our older Dell backup system. It was hard to use and never felt very reliable. Druva has been much more consistent and easier to manage. The console is clean, the reporting is clear, and it’s easy to check backup status without digging through a bunch of menus.

I also really like how simple file-level restores are. If someone deletes a file or needs something recovered, I don’t have to restore an entire VM just to grab one item. That saves a lot of time.

We did have backup proxy failures twice a little after initial deployment, but support and documentation helped us get it resolved. It hasn’t happened in quite a while and the system has been stable for the past couple of years. Support has been professional whenever we’ve needed them. Our Customer Success Manager has also been proactive — they reached out when we were trending high on credit usage and helped us optimize things. We were able to lower our usage and may even end up with a surplus, which is important in a school district with tight budgets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real issue we ran into was the backup proxy failures early on, shortly after deployment. It took some troubleshooting with support to get fully resolved, but once it was addressed, it hasn’t been a recurring problem.

Since then, it’s been pretty steady from an operational standpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Druva gives us reliable, centralized backups for our VMware servers and file shares without having to maintain additional backup hardware on-site.

In a school district environment, protecting staff and administrative data is critical, but we don’t have a large IT team to manage something overly complex. Compared to our previous solution, Druva has simplified backup management and given us better visibility into what’s protected.

We haven’t had to perform a full production restore, but the consistent backups and easy file-level recovery give us confidence in our disaster recovery posture. For a lean IT team supporting thousands of students and staff, that reliability and simplicity go a long way.

What I like best about Druva Data Security Cloud is its fully cloud-native design, which eliminates the complexity of managing on-premises backup infrastructure. The centralized dashboard provides complete visibility across endpoints, servers, and cloud workloads, making monitoring and management very simple and efficient.

The platform is highly reliable and scalable, with strong security features such as ransomware protection, immutable backups, and end-to-end encryption. Backup policies are easy to configure, and restores are fast and seamless, which significantly reduces recovery time and operational effort.

Another major advantage is its minimal maintenance requirement—since it is SaaS-based, there is no hardware dependency, patching, or infrastructure overhead. The reporting, compliance features, and proactive alerting also help ensure data protection standards are consistently met.

Overall, Druva Data Security Cloud provides a secure, scalable, and user-friendly backup solution that simplifies data protection management while enhancing security and business continuity.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Druva Data Security Cloud is a very robust and reliable platform, there are a few areas where minor improvements could enhance the overall experience. For example, the initial setup and policy configuration can feel slightly complex for first-time users, especially in large environments. However, once configured, the platform runs smoothly with minimal maintenance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Druva Data Security Cloud solves the challenge of managing complex, distributed backup environments by providing a fully cloud-native, centralized data protection platform. It eliminates the need for maintaining on-premises backup infrastructure, reducing hardware dependency, maintenance effort, and operational overhead.

The platform addresses key concerns such as ransomware protection, data loss prevention, compliance requirements, and secure long-term retention. With features like immutable backups, encryption, and automated policy management, it significantly strengthens our overall data security posture.

It also simplifies backup and restore operations across endpoints, servers, and cloud workloads through a single management console. This has improved visibility, reduced administrative effort, and accelerated recovery time objectives (RTO), ensuring faster business continuity during incidents.

Overall, Druva helps us reduce risk, improve operational efficiency, and confidently protect critical business data with a scalable and reliable solution.

A Data Management and Compliance Dream in One Place

  • February 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The one place to backup all my different types of data on different platforms and Druva continues to add more features making my backup management so much better than the many other solutions I have used over the past 20 plus years. A single place to go and see all my data. A single place to go to search for files that we must purge. A single place to go trace the other users a file may have been shared with. This has been a win as far as solutions for us and it not just a backup solution, its a data management and compliance dream.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can always be improved and I have already seen great changes over the years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have purge compliance obligations with the government work we do and it is made so much easier with Druva.

Simple, Reliable Cloud-Native Data Protection with an Intuitive Dashboard

  • February 04, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Druva Data Security Cloud is how simple and dependable it makes enterprise data protection. Because the platform is cloud-native and SaaS-based, there’s no hardware to manage and no complex infrastructure to maintain, which keeps deployment and scaling very straightforward. It’s also easy to set up and use, and the dashboard feels intuitive, making it simple to monitor backups and manage policies across endpoints, workloads, and cloud apps without requiring extensive training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Druva Data Security Cloud is easy to use and does a solid job of automating backup and recovery across endpoints and cloud apps, although initial backups and restores for large datasets can be slow. I also found that some of the more advanced role-based controls and reporting options could be more flexible. Since it’s fully cloud-native, performance can depend heavily on network speed. Overall, these are minor limitations and they don’t outweigh the benefits of centralized management and reliability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Druva Data Security Cloud addresses the challenge of protecting our Microsoft 365 data by offering automated, cloud-native backup and recovery for Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. It helps reduce the risk of accidental deletion or data loss, streamlines administration through centralized visibility, and lets us quickly restore files or mailboxes when needed. As a result, we can minimize downtime and better support business continuity.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Druva Data Security Cloud eliminates the need for external hard disks by storing data safely in the cloud. It's easy to use and manage, and the data security is well and good. Since it's built on the cloud with AWS, there's no need for complex infrastructure setup, making deployment and scaling easy. The intuitive dashboard allows me to monitor backups, manage policies, and restore data with minimal training. I appreciate the automated backup scheduling, data deduplication, and policy-based management. The centralized management feature lets me handle data protection across endpoints, cloud apps, servers, and VMs efficiently, with easy data search and point-in-time restore features for quick recovery. The end-to-end encryption, ransomware protection, and compliance features are integrated and require minimal configuration. The initial setup wasn't difficult, and my team works very well with it. I'm so satisfied with the service that I'd rate it 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first backup, especially for large datasets, can be slow due to data upload to the cloud. Role-based access controls and audit features are good but could be more granular. Restoring large files or full systems can sometimes be slower compared to local backup solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Druva Data Security Cloud for user data backup. It eliminates the need for external hard drives, securely stores data on the cloud, and includes automated backup, centralized management, and robust security features like encryption and ransomware protection.
