Very easy to set up and add to application
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use and incredibly visual. Defining and tracking events is very quick with the click visualizer
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish I could make certain queries that are currently not allowed. For example, number of users that have been verified by our application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track our application metrics for our consumer social app. We like to see our daily and weekly usage
Historical Events are Great
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to get history on events that weren't tagged previously is a game changer. Even exploring in the visualizer allows easy access to what parts of the page people are engaging with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The chart options aren't great and don't always follow best practices (side-eye to pie charts), more flexibility to sizing elements on dashboards would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company hasn't implemented HeapSQL yet, looking forward to using that for more advanced process mining question. Was able to use it to quickly see which elements on a menu users were using to help inform UX decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Too new a product to really get into this space.

What do you like best about the product?
The amount of detail and insight to user behavior is amazing and the CS team does an amazing job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the word choices can be confusing, specifically around date range. There is a bit of a learning curve, but I'm not sure if that could be avoided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've struggles for a long time to understand which features are being utilized by our users. Heap has helped tremendously with that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Heap is an amazing tool that makes it so easy to understand what users are doing on your site.

I like how you can filter by user and see all the events they've completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't so easy to see where the application has come from as Heap only seems to track initial referrer rather than the channel they came through when they specifically submitted the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running campaigns with partners with minimal IT work. Being able to see how customers came to us and attribute them to the right channel.

i find it hard tu create reports and i would love to have an mobile app

Hours saved with Heap
What do you like best about the product?
Heap gave us an insightful view into how and what our online customers are doing. In a matter of hours were were able to build reports, dashboards, and realizations about our product portfolio.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a dashboard and one of its charts, when I click through to see more details around a data point, I'd like to be able to see a more condensed view of the data point. Currently, data points such as a sliver of clients take up a lot of screen real estate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're analyzing user engagement with our cloud-based platform as well as how well new features are being adopted in their target markets.

It's worth exploring and realizing how easily a non-programmer can manipulate data.

I like the Webhooks and User Analytics portion in Heap

I don't like the time period/time range customization piece and some UI design

getting more insight into what our users are doing while on our site, which helps us iterate on our application flow. We've realized more people getting through our funnel by addressing problem areas.
You don't need to be a data expert to get a lot out of this tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up, simple to understand, very powerful tool. Heap made data analysis fun. I was able to understand exactly how my product was performing on a minute by minute basis

You should be able to view different queries side by side

The ability to see user-level data has been an absolute game changer.

Heap is integral to my company's product development process
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to gather retroactive event data on the fly has enabled me to evaluate features more quickly than I thought possible. Heap has enabled my team to drastically reduce the length of our product development cycles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I get stuck looking for data on a session where it's not available but most of the time I can quickly find the information I'm looking for.

Heap has enabled my team to iterate over and improve features more quickly than ever before and has become central to our evaluation of a feature's success or failure.
