Efficient Identity solution
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Teleport is its Universal Connectivity feature and the robustness of its Audit Logs. Universal Connectivity enables access to remote devices across various networks, which is particularly valuable in today's distributed environments. This feature aligns well with the diverse nature of modern infrastructure. Additionally, the platform's Audit Logs provide a comprehensive record of security events and session activities, offering a crucial tool for monitoring and analyzing potential security incidents. The combination of these features underscores Teleport's commitment to both accessibility and security, making it a standout solution for managing infrastructure access.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Teleport offers numerous valuable features, one area that could be improved is the documentation regarding Ephemeral Certificates and Biometric Authentication. These innovative security measures are at the core of Teleport's enhanced access control, but if the documentation surrounding their implementation and usage is lacking, it might pose challenges for users who are trying to take full advantage of these features. Clear and comprehensive documentation would not only ensure that users can leverage these security enhancements effectively but also contribute to a smoother onboarding experience for new adopters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teleport addresses several critical challenges that organizations face in managing infrastructure access. One of the standout benefits for me is how it simplifies the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) with clients. By utilizing Teleport's capabilities, I've been able to streamline the SSO process, enhancing the security and efficiency of authentication for both myself and my clients. This not only reduces the complexity of managing access but also strengthens the overall security posture. Teleport's ability to tackle this challenge has been particularly advantageous, demonstrating its capacity to provide practical solutions for real-world access management scenarios.

Most Secure way to access your infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about Teleport is it's main feature, Zero Tust Security. Using Teleport I can access my infratructure (like Virtual Machines, clusters, etc.) securely using their Multifactor authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I disklike about it is their prerequisites required for initial setup. Though they also give the reason for why they need it, i still find it bit ununsual. Like they require you setup as specific subdomain on you main domain, and on that subdomain, another variable subdomain should be setup too!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Teleport, we used VPN to allow users to connect to infrastructure like Databases, VMs, Clusters, etc. But we came to know that many ISPs blocked the VPN, and in India, VPNs are even hard to use, whether it is public or Private. So, our employees were facing frequent connection issues. To fix that we needed some solution other than VPNs and Teleport came to help us. It helped us connect to infrastructure securely without using VPN.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the option to a have a free version to start with. Single point of configuration for user accounts and access rights. It's easy to implement and start with. The audit option is easy to monitor and provide proof of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the option to buy a small license for homelab usage. Features like RDP into machines without domain connection could have a hugh value to the users. Even Azure Entra ID connection could be interesting in homelab, as Microsoft provides a free developer license to tinker with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a one stop solution for manageing access rights was a hugh problem for us. We had a SSH bastion, a RDP Session host and a VPN solution to access these two systems. Teleport fixed all of this. One option for login, MFA and combined SSH, Windows and Application access are the most beneficial features for us.

Ui could be more intuitive and user friendly without extra things involved with the controls

What do you dislike about the product?
* Ansible connection flooding the audit logs when deploying to many servers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized connection to many servers and infrastructures.
Teleport eased access & management to our servers replacing our custom SSH bastion
What do you like best about the product?
We previously ran a custom SSH bastion that required manual intervention when adding new users & servers, but Teleport saved us by easily managing users and roles as well as the awesome security features it comes with - replacing SSH keys with robust SSH certificates that are short lived, which drastically improved our security posture.
When we started working with Kubernetes, access for developers to these clusters was simplified and strengthened with its support for Kubernetes clusters and PostgreSQL databases as well.
We also have some internal applications guarded by Teleport with its Application Access feature, where you can secure those applications behind Teleport's Auth server but securely access it over the public internet. It's truly amazing!

Honestly, I am yet to find any problem or fault with Teleport, no issues, perfectly works well for my organization.

Fantastic tool for entity management and access for infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
This tool provides a great holistic view for engineers. It ease the access of resources in the infrastructure and automate it to a great extent. Overall it is a great access and authorization tool for engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don not see any specific negative points for this tool. Since nothing is perfect, this tool also look to keep innovating as per the latest trend. Help further automation by introducing generative AI and so on without compromising the security.

it is giving easy way for engineers to access the resources in launched infrastructures. Helping to manage the access authorization with a better security.

The best way to do secure ssh into my system
What do you like best about the product?
I can use teleport with my Yubikey so I don't need to remember passwords and no need be concerned about PKI keys teleport rotate the keys automatic
What do you dislike about the product?
The terminal has colors dificult to read. I can't find a way to change it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To many systems with that require PKI for SSH and need to be rotated very frequent. Teleport do the rotation for me.
