Teleport eased access & management to our servers replacing our custom SSH bastion
What do you like best about the product?
We previously ran a custom SSH bastion that required manual intervention when adding new users & servers, but Teleport saved us by easily managing users and roles as well as the awesome security features it comes with - replacing SSH keys with robust SSH certificates that are short lived, which drastically improved our security posture.
When we started working with Kubernetes, access for developers to these clusters was simplified and strengthened with its support for Kubernetes clusters and PostgreSQL databases as well.
We also have some internal applications guarded by Teleport with its Application Access feature, where you can secure those applications behind Teleport's Auth server but securely access it over the public internet. It's truly amazing!

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I am yet to find any problem or fault with Teleport, no issues, perfectly works well for my organization.

Fantastic tool for entity management and access for infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
This tool provides a great holistic view for engineers. It ease the access of resources in the infrastructure and automate it to a great extent. Overall it is a great access and authorization tool for engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don not see any specific negative points for this tool. Since nothing is perfect, this tool also look to keep innovating as per the latest trend. Help further automation by introducing generative AI and so on without compromising the security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is giving easy way for engineers to access the resources in launched infrastructures. Helping to manage the access authorization with a better security.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a eCommerce company with all of the infrastructure in cloud, so to do PAM, we really need a good solutions.

The best way to do secure ssh into my system
What do you like best about the product?
I can use teleport with my Yubikey so I don't need to remember passwords and no need be concerned about PKI keys teleport rotate the keys automatic
What do you dislike about the product?
The terminal has colors dificult to read. I can't find a way to change it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To many systems with that require PKI for SSH and need to be rotated very frequent. Teleport do the rotation for me.

What do you like best about the product?
As a security researcher and consultant, I've reviewed countless platforms and solutions intended to address the evolving challenges of secure access. Gravitational Teleport stands out not only for its modern approach to the problem but also for the meticulous attention to detail evident in its design and implementation.

What do you dislike about the product?
Teleport's comprehensive suite of features may introduce a layer of complexity that smaller teams might find overwhelming at first. While this could lead to underutilization of the platform's full capabilities, I personally witnessed some colleagues deploying Teleport even on their home network! With dedication and proper guidance it's entirely feasible for individual enthusiasts or small teams to harness its potential effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I recently advised on and audited a Teleport cluster deployment for a very large organization. This saved the customer's team potentially months or even years of development time that would have been spent on a subpar internal tool. Addressing secure access problems requires a significant degree of security expertise, and many internal security teams often lack the necessary resources to handle these issues appropriately.
Overall amazing product that simplifies server access
What do you like best about the product?
The UI. We are used to the Apache guacamole and this is far better. And the new server-adding feature (after we upgraded from v5 to the latest) is simply amazing too. The tool is intuitive and honestly, it just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features could be available on the free/community plan since the enterprise version simply makes it unviable for smaller companies to upgrade. It's just too expensive. I would like to see all apart from truly enterprise features on the free plan or a new plan in the middle where we can pick features we need on top of the community and only pay for those.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems were manual adding of SSH keys and sharing passwords across all system administrators or outside contributors. With Teleport we can easily add users and give them access in an instant and revoke it too.
Easy to use and great work tool
What do you like best about the product?
The Tool allows you to save screens and identify where errors occurred, and thus make accurate corrections.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times I can't find certain configuration options, which makes it take a little longer to perform some tasks, but it's rare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to analyze some data and maintain a personalized and agile configuration in my work.
Our experience with Teleport
What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to connect to our servers behind NAT. The web interface are great to connect and we can connect with our servers using just the web browser. Thats awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
The web management is not good enough. Should be easy to rename (even just on that cluster) servers and set users allowed to login on machines, after the initial setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can connect easily on our fleet of raspberry pi devices behint NATs and firewalls!

Easy to use and after installing it gives you got control over everything where you can see it everything on one plain view I like it as it more simple than other solutions

I would say price it should be cheaper and user interface should be a little better but I do hope with time like with any good software developers listen to customers and improve it

Better control very simple to use good or I can say better security at the end less complicated and more secure oriented and better than what is on the market
