Remove data in a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Setting up Nightfall was simple, fast, and straightforward. It didn't take very much to have it up and running and took little lift on our end; but does require making sure there is an administrator and service account for each platform you are connecting to are available.
It's easy to use and straightforward, integrates with Slack, so I am notified about new alerts and violations when there is data sitting around; but most importantly I am aware the data exists and where to find it.
We found interest in its ability to detect API Keys but have not delved further into it yet.
So far, we have it connected to a few systems and it's been working well. I haven't been using the system long enough to tell you our ROI.
From a security standpoint, the team has been very responsive and forthcoming with policies, and information so I can conduct a security review. Their SOC 2 was made available upon singing a NDA. I reviewed the documentaiton and still have more questions so they are taking the additional questions and having those answered.

Nightfall is still a relatively newer product, so the team is still building out additional integration and features.
We currently have it integrated with a few systems and look forward to seeing more. We hope to see an integration with Asana. I wonder if it would be able to check Gmail? I don't have insight on the pricing model so I cannot comment on that.
One feature I pointed out to the team that I think is unnecesary is having to press on the "Expand all" function on each violation; all the information should just be available and appear without having to click.
Another downside is not being able to assign a user to a violation and not being able to write a note for a whole violation.
Another piece of feedback is being able to take action on a violation in Slack, so a user doesn't have to go into the dashboard.
It's a downside there is another dashboard to check, but perhaps the developer tools can be used to bring in centralized logs.

We want to have visibility on what kind of information is living in our environment and how it is being used/shared. We also want to make sure information isn't being shared with the open internet and only authorized users should have access to the information.

I recently had the opportunity to use Nightfall, and I must say, it has transformed our data protection strategies! Nightfall offers a comprehensive and seamless solution that not only identifies and classifies sensitive data but also actively prevents data leaks and breaches.

One aspect that could be improved is the user interface, although functional and intuitive,some users might find it slightly compex to navigate initially, however, with a bit of getting used to, this minor drawback becomes negligible given the powerful capabilities of the platform.

Nightfall enables us to proactively identify and protect confidential information, it provide accurate and efficient detection, classification and significantly reducing the risk of data leaks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Limited Detection Capabilities: While Nightfall offers robust detection capabilities for various types of sensitive data, it may have limitations in detecting new or unique data patterns, especially if they fall outside its pre-defined parameters. Would like to see more customisable detectors around cardholder data

We are receiving alerts across a wide array of environments, which we previously didn't have.
A Flexible Partner with Plenty of Possibility
What do you like best about the product?
Their accessibility is one of their more unique attributes; their team is connected with our Slack channel and has been highly responsive to emails and calls. While we don't need to speak with them daily, they're there if we need them, which is reassuring.
What do you dislike about the product?
They aren't as proactive in engaging us to use them to their fullest potential. I've found myself doing my own research and being very proactive with managing our account.

We are a social media company where data privacy and moderation are paramount to proving our value proposition. We are also a public benefit corporation (B Corp), the first in our industry, so it was imperative for us to have the infrastructure in place that would reassure our users to interact as authentically as possible.
Extremely solid and easy to deploy DLP
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of installation, ease of use, a really good way of listing the issues and allowing actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
-No SSO configuration for JumpCloud (at least when we initially checked)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Full monitoring of our SaaS applications with minimum fuss of installation, and extremely good structure of alerts + remedial action options. This has limited the risk exposure we had when we were lacking such a tool.
Pain free DLP compliance with NightFall
What do you like best about the product?
Nightfall has been an excellent addition to our company's tech stack. The installation and onboarding process were a breeze, and we were impressed with how quickly we were up and running. Nightfall integrates seamlessly with all of our native cloud tools, including AWS, GCP, and Slack, which has made our work more efficient and secure.
What has really stood out to me is the software's effectiveness. I accidentally triggered an alert myself and immediately saw how the software works to prevent data loss. It's not just box-ticking compliance - it really works! Our team has limited resources, but we were able to get up and running with only one person's time, which is impressive.
Overall, I highly recommend Nightfall to any business looking for effortless compliance without the need for a lot of effort. The software is easy to use, effective, and integrates with all of our cloud tools. For sure we made the right call going with nightfall

As the market leader, we found Nightfall a little on the spendy side compared to some other solutions, however, when you consider the effort we've saved having such a seamless tool, the ROI is clearly higher than competitors.

We require a DLP solution for compliance purposes, and Nightfall is ticking those boxes
Excellent cloud-native data loss protection service
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-native with Slack-based workflows that fully engage our workforce in real-time. This real-time approach helps us achieve quick visibility and remediation of detected violations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really dislike anything about this very good product. However, it really needs a Bitbucket (Git) integration to cover all our core use cases. I believe this is on their short-term roadmap.

Nightfall helps us identify unauthorized data transmissions. Often these do not result in significant security incidents, but help us detect company policy violations that help us correct and educate our workforce.

Nightfall makes monitoring our systems very user-friendly and easy to set up. It allows us to have very accurate detection with very little maintenance work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problems we have had with nightfall are occasional false positives. However, Nightfall support has helped us fine-tune our detection rules to make them as accurate as possible.
