Amplitude provides an End to End suite of tools to analyze user behavior across your platforms
What do you like best about the product?
Funnel Analysis & Segmentation - while these are very basic functionalities, it is what we use the most often. This enables us to understand if we are hitting our success criteria and the impact of new releases on KPIs such as conversion and AOV.
What do you dislike about the product?
Level of customization in alerting. While we can set up alerting and do use it regularly there is a limitation to what can trigger an alert which decreases the usefulness of the functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude enables us to understand usage of new features we release & how that impacts our KPIs such as conversion, AOV.
Great tool for quick insights

Easy to use UI that anyone can ramp up to quickly and build funnels or see user interaction insights

Manual instrumentation of events takes time

Seeing user funnels and being able to share quickly and easily
The top-of-mind tracking tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Amplitude is easily configurable and the way it tracks events with individual properties or user properties makes it easy to filter the events and create your own analysis about specific parts of the user's journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it hard to merge Amplitude sessions between multiple devices on multiple platforms. For example, when the same user is sending events from a PWA and a Flutter application, it's hard to figure out where the events are coming from because the user properties can get overridden during the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude has helped me and the company I work at to understand pin points of our user journey and use its data to think about new features that could improve conversion in our sales funnel.
An essential tool for marketing and product teams alike
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is an amazingly-powerful tool that allows you to measure all customer touchpoints across your entire funnel. Amplitude easily ingests your customer event data making it simple to quickly spin up reports on touchpoints, funnel metrics, bottlenecks, product usage, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Event governance could be a bit more robust - the event allocation is pretty generous but you might hit the limit of events and/or properties sooner than you think.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us understand how customer are engaging with our various web properties and how different actions/events lead to others. It also helps us better understand what the lifetime customer value is for our different brands.
Clean & Quick Design
What do you like best about the product?
I like the clean look and feel of the platform overall. Once your data is in, it is very easy to manipulate the insights quickly. (much preferred) No excels and multiple data points can be analyzed at once which is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better intro tutorials would be helpful in the live platform with your data. The Amplitunes example is great, but most companies aren't music/ download based. Possibly switch to an eCommerce platform example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Amplitude for app marketing, insights, UI experience improvements. It has been very insightful for these items, as long as you have the codes in the platform.
Democratizes Data and Accelerates Time to Insight
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is easy to learn while in-depth to master. It’s easy to share insights and reports with other team members. Tons of features to dive deeper into analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes features are difficult to find or understand. I have spent some time getting custom equations to work, though this is to be expected with any kind of advanced data analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps provide clear visibility into table stakes metrics like Revenue, Order Totals, and Conversion Rate. It also helps solve marketing questions around attribution and advertising performance.
Must have analytics, with easy data management
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use for tech and non-tech folks alike. Iteratively (aka Amplitude Data after the acquisition) also makes it easy to manage the events/properties in Amplitude across everyone interested in the data.

No particular complaints on the product.

Any modern product building needs instrumentation and analytics. Who wants to fly blind?
Best in class for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
We considered many options for our analytics tool and ended up settling on Amplitude because of the ease of integration and the quality of the free tier. With 10M free events per month and retention + cohort analyses on the free tier, we were able to extract tons of valuable insights quickly and integrate logging in a few hours.
Tools I use every day include retention graphs, cohort graphs, daily actives, and user streams. User streams are particularly really useful to see the flow of a given user's behaviors in the app.

What do you dislike about the product?
My team and I have struggled a bit with sharing data with each other- have some dashboards and charts that we want synced but it was a bit confusing to get this shared with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude solves the problem of flying blind- without it, understanding our user behaviors was a chore requiring tons of custom scripts on a custom database. But Amplitude makes all that 10x easier and faster. I use it every single day to understand how our users are interacting with our product.
Amplitude is a great tool for customer centric businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Awesome documentation, quite useful prebuilt views that are easily accessible to non-technical users, fast refresh / load time
What do you dislike about the product?
it's not something on you but definitely slow / poor event instrumentation can ruin one's experience with the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The easier it is to access data the more often people reference it so Amplitude really is a tool that improves decision-making on all levels of the organization
Amplitude helps Customer Support and Customer Success
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can get granular details of actions that a user completes when a bug arises. The Customer Support team is better able to identify and communicate a bug to the engineering team, which leads to faster resolution times. Our Customer Success team can use Amplitude to help understand customer behavior and when they should intervene to help a customer out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep to get the deeper analyses down. It takes a skilled user to train a novice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not only can I use the user journey feature to help identify and diagnose bugs, I'm able to view A/B tests and see how different changes can affect a multitude of users. This lets us experiment to make the right changes for our product.
