Better than Google Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Using this tool, I can flexibly analyze purchasing data and behavioral data. Being flexible is important.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are unable to capture some important event data due to the contract volume limit of CDP, the data provider to this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By grouping customer behavior on our site into funnels, we were able to conduct effective promotions.
It also increased advertising revenue from companies that supply products to our site.
It also increased advertising revenue from companies that supply products to our site.
Amplitude makes it easy to visualize and share the inside data
What do you like best about the product?
Easy and direct UI and functions for developing dashboards and charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is not clear what some words or term means. I use the help center to figure it out, but it is hard to understand what some terms mean.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me and my company to share and discuss about some data. Even though you are not specialized data analysis it is easy to see data on amplitude.
Too easy to analysis customer's behavior
What do you like best about the product?
Definitely Event Segmentation, Funnel chart, and retention chart. I like Amplitude because it quickly calculates based on events triggered by customers, even without entering complex queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to do product-centric analysis rather than customer behavior, then this product is not for you. Nevertheless, there are times when I too have to do product-oriented analysis. In that case, I am using SQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Event Segmentation chart is perfect for monitoring trends in customer behavior. And the Funnel Charts help me determine if our customers are behaving the way I designed.
Amplitude is an invaluable tool for our organization
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude allows us to track, in real time, the usage/success of new features and share those insights with our business stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had trouble aligning our tagging across products given the different paces of development across Android and iOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics allows us to not just blindly ship features into production. It has been instrumental in working with business stakeholders to lean into MVP approaches for features
Very helpful platform, crucial to understanding product performance, complex to set up
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is a relatively sophisticated way to plot product usage and analyze areas to focus. It has a handful of product offerings to enable you to hack together most analyses you'd want. Once you get the hang of using the platform, it's quite powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform isn't so easy for team members to learn, meaning usage and institutional knowledge are pretty concentrated among those who set it up. And the set-up is non-trivial, with best practices that if not followed (by reading online articles) can cause several unforeseen issues that are decent lifts to fix. Also, there are a handful of areas where the logic and charting capabilities fall short of the nuanced analyses and calculations we'd like. There are also a lot of features under development that aren't quite nailing it yet, but I hope they will be in the near future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to get real-time and historical information on product usage and performance. It helps us with reporting, issue-flagging, experimenting with new features, and monitoring areas of dropoff and where we can improve our product.
A fast data tool for analysts
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude provides easy access to your database. The ability to do quick projections and draw up graphs can be a very helpful tool for all analysts. It is also quite simple to share the charts surrounding the events data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Yes - Amplitude provides easy access to your database but sometimes it can be difficult to do more custom kinds of analysis with this tool. One thing in particular is having 'or' clauses when creating a custom event.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is solving a speed and visualization problem for analysts. It provides easy access to event based data in a way that allows for analysts to churn out answers to 80% of all ad hoc questions that might be asked of analysts.
Amplitude Analytics for Conversion Data
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Amplitude integrates with our other data sources very well. It allows us to neatly and easily organize data and present in an aesthetically pleasing manner! It also makes it incredibly simply to create multiple iterations of the same chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't experienced too many issues myself. I would say that the only real negative that I've run into so far is the date range being limited to a year, but even then it's not a huge negative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics allows us to track the various tests that we run in our email program and easily analyze the results. Without it, it would be a much more manual process to determine which tests are successful and which are not.
Amplitude Analytics gives us full visibility on our multiple apps with powerful tools
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics makes custom event ingestion and user identification possible in code, but most importantly makes the analysis seamless in the console. Other competitors can offer more out-of-the-box front-end tracking, but with the complexity of our platform and our products, we need advanced custom tracking to answer our analytics needs, which Amplitude can offer. Amplitude can easily ingest tons of events and govern their taxonomy straight in the console. We can observe single user tendencies as well as global tendencies for projects with just a few clicks. The visualization tools are extremely powerful and can answer almost any question that could come to mind, whether it be about event segmentation, user paths or retention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude is mostly made for power users. When it comes to making the console available to the whole company, it can be overwhelming for some having all those options and no starred content upfront. The onboarding experience could be better by giving the administrators the ability to modify it and display the right content right away to the right people and having starred dashboards in their navbar, etc. Right now, you can only customize your own space and not those of others, every user is considered a power user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving our need for front-end tracking, back-end tracking and user session stitching altogether across our apps. We can have a mix of page views, super granular custom events from the front-end, feedback events from the back-end and segment them properly with any event property we'd like. Before it was hard for a Product Manager to find clear and realistic KPIs for a very granular feature part of a big product; Amplitude helps our Product Managers observe all kinds of precise events from the start of the release, define clear KPIs on their features and track them in real-time. It makes us way more actionable when it comes to investment in features and makes our products better in the long run. The simple act of implementing Amplitude also gives us a straight QA feedback look and makes us rethink UX and our whole data-driven design process.
Sr Engineering Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I love that everybody in the company can build his/her own dashboards. It's easy to learn and integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way to structure teams folders is a bit cluttered (mixing charts, dashboards,..)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an unlocked data-informed org that does not need to rely in big engineering work for that.
Perfect tool to experimentation, following up metrics and take decisions.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to build personalized charts connecting data providers as Braze and google analytics. And take actions based on that results
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes is difficult to understand all the features because there's no description when you are building a chart. And I couldn't find a virtual tour to learn all the features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been helpful when we have several experiments running at our CRM systems and also it helps a lot to monitor behaviors and take fast correcting decisions.
