Limited functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Interface is easy to understand and use. Chart presentation is user-friendly for non data professionals or someone who is not familiar with the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. SQL editor is not comfortable to use: the code window is too small, there are no IDE-like code suggestions, and if the error occurs, you are on your own - the error message is not helpful at all.
2. The chart size (y-axis) can not be set up for decimals or percentages (although the percentage feature is presented - it just does not work), only for whole numbers.
3. The notebooks and dashboards start to behave strangely starting from some size: the page is automatically scrolled down when holding a chart to move, making it impossible to move the chart up or place it along with some other chart (in a notebook).
4. The loading time of big dashboards, notebooks and sometimes even regular charts is soooo long.
5. The reports automatisation! There were posts from the Amplitude team about routine automatization, but the suggested services do not support Amplitude. The export feature is not sufficient for report automatization. The data is not aggregated in any way (or it is not documented, how to do so), and the charts data can not be exported at all, just raw events. It is very time-consuming to look through the same charts every day to make a report, this definitely should be automated, but the platform makes it impossible to implement adequately.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Players retention, app revenue, players behaviour and features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good tool for basic data analytics, but if you have a big product and a lot of data, it probably will cause some problems to perform complicated data analysis.
Great analytics tool to understand users and product better!
What do you like best about the product?
It's safe time (compared to manual SQL scripts), propose great templates (retention graph, stickness, segmentation, etc) and it's easy to investigate different cohorts with user paths & funnels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably some restrictions :) event limits, no alerts in the subscription, limitations in dashboards personalization, etc :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To get data fast, to investigate users/flows without analyst, to see that changes (new app version) in the product improved KPIs, monitor KPIs
Product with interesting features but low customisation
What do you like best about the product?
Near real-time analysis of our products events. Especially interesting to see the user flows in an easy and fast way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't customise charts and difficult to check interactions between different users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the most used features on our products through events. The greatest benefit is the realization that some of the features available are not helpful as users intentionally try to avoid them.
A very powerful tool to analyse precisely your audience, the user journey
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is very well precise to analyse the user journey and to have insights about behavior.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile version is not easy to use. A more fluid app would be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are understanding user needs, user consumption of our platforms with precise feedback. These inputs are key to know if we are developing in the right way or if we need to adjust.
Best tool to make data-informed Product decisions!
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude gives product teams the right tools to measure and share the impact of their work in a fast way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing product tracking taxonomy's governance, versioning and cleaning up is a pain. We defer to other tools such as Avo to achieve this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the impact of our changes and identifying hurdles our users pass through.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get your product tracking plan in check right from the beginning by adopting governance and quality tools such as Avo.app!
The main Self Serve Analytics tool for AB Inbev
What do you like best about the product?
I like a lot the support team a: The feedback session pass a feeling of taking care of the customer and helps us a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Is not possible to create analyze by an array property (is not user-friendly) and the notebook edition is not user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Live documentation through Notebook enables the team to understand better the tracking plan and check the analyses in the same space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good Self Serve Analytics tool for Product/Feature Analyses.
Good for directional reporting - provides a fast look at product performance and helps flag issues
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, non-technical stakeholders can do things - helps balance analytics workload to have a tool that a marketing manager can utilize for an ad-hoc ask. This also makes it a tool we use frequently, business moves fast and this helps us keep up!
What do you dislike about the product?
unable to align with internal reporting tools - we can see the raw segment data we pass to amplitude, but can't recreate the results of amplitude's charts when processing that data ourselves. This gets especially tricky when data not tracked onsite needs to be tied to that site tracking. E.g. if we want to look at users who filled out a form, we get a different set of users through this tool vs our internal data. This makes it essential to only use amplitude for directional data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
experiment and product reporting, easy to stand up for temporary measurement needs. Helps provide a self-serve solution for quick requests, vs putting everything on the analytics sprint board. Very useful for customer pathing through the site, it's a common marketing use case to ask "what did users do after hitting this page" and the journeys are great for evaluating this
User friendly and informative
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to visualize complex data in a simple way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be intimidating for beginners. Tutorials can be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detecting problems in released games and understanding player behaviour.
Very good for product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
- Had the possibility of monitoring and performing analysis with data generated in real time.
- Create cohorts with experiments that were activated in Cockpit and measure metrics according to it.

What do you dislike about the product?
- It is hard to create datasets by the Magnitude: Amplitude dataset.
- Don't have the possibility to automatically calculate the Margin of Error between metrics.
- Put videos to teach how to use each feature in the best way.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- I ran an experiment A/B and put a satisfaction survey in it. Therefore, it was possible to choose the best experience, communication and design that drive up the customer satisfaction (the same thing for choose things that decrease contact rate).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend adding a possibility to put the margin of error in the views.
Ford Developer Amplitude Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Performance is usually pretty solid even for charts with many events
What do you dislike about the product?
Very limited functionality for controlling how to display the events. Hard to aggregate or create charts that aren't specifically targeting the UserId field. Also, the histogram charts auto bucket sizes aren't great, but if you try to set your own you don't get an option to have a last bucket that catches the rest of all the values like the auto size does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use it to track user engagement in our platform's various functionalities. We also use it for some operational metrics to graph out query response times as well as realtime system performance charts.
